Tyler's Blog

Tyler

Hey!!

So I just cut together a new video from my 5 week trip in South Beach -- up at Nikki Beach and Ultra Music Fest.

I've also returned to recording infield video EVERY DAMNED NIGHT now that I'm back in Los Angeles!

My schedule is fully built around non stop recording of infield footage, which has been great.

It's carries a degree of stress with it obviously -- being followed around with a camera all the time -- but I had to honestly recognize that I'm in a peak of my game right now and may never be at this level again.

I'm IN THE MIDST of building the new self development company -- just purchased a pricey new studio to create the video content and purchased all the domains -- and I've got to be honest with myself...

How much longer can I keep this up with pickup?

I'll always be in the game, but it's been my most major focus for the past 2 years to the EXCLUSION OF ALMOST ALL ELSE.  I go out sick, I go out tired, I go out NO MATTER WHAT.

So while I'm absolutely crushing it -- LIKE AN ABSOLUTE DOMINATOR SHITTING IN EVERYONE'S FACES RIGHT NOW LOL -- it's required a lot of consistency and time sacrifices that I may not be able to make forever and ever, and it's now time to RECORD IT.

I've been GOING FUCKING HARD with this game shit.  It's endless.  Endless game, endless game, late nights, more and more game.  5 weeks teaching non fucking stop in Miami.  WTF.  No seriously, what the FUCKING FUCK?!

LOL it's a fun period in my life, and I know the Hot Seat 3 students are going to go nuts.  That's my only goal right now -- HOT SEAT FUCKING 3 -- GOING OUT WITH A BANG!

The vBlogs have benefitted lately as well, and I threw in a small amount for you today that if you look at closely could benefit you a lot -- I'm able to get away with this FOR NOW because I just have so much great stuff but it's not something I plan to continue doing much more of.

My goal is always to bump the "free line" a little further every month, but I can ONLY do this if the PAID PRODUCT is equally improved so that the "gap" between free and paid stays the same.  Right now the paid product is just getting better and better with Hot Seta 3 being built, so it's all good.

Guys often ask me for MORE.  And it's like "Dude I'm trying here!  But unless I can find ways to improve the paid product, I can't just give away more on the front end because students will be like why the fuck did I do this program then?  But I'm TRYING!!"  And the more I'm successful in improving the Hot Seats and Bootcamps, the more I can give away on the front end.

(Luckily this year the Hot Seat and BC improved by easily 2X and we're just getting better and better...Our BC's have had to get better by necessity, from the frontpage being so good, and it's HAPPENING!  I love how the pressure of the frontpage has made us STEP UP!)

Creatively I'm just in the best space of my life right now.  My brain is FLOODED with new ideas, and I'm executing on them more each day.  Game is KILLING it's INSANE.  This year is going to be the best in RSD and I've got so much next level stuff planned out.  Gotta just keep EXECUTING on it and this page and programs will be SO SICK!

I also wanted to give props to JULIEN who is the first RSD instructor other than myself to reach 10,000 subscribers on his www.youtube.com/julienfreetour channel.  People don't realize that with "niche based" channels it's much longer to get high subscribers because our content is designed to proactively alienate 99 out of every 100 people who see it.

There's rarely any "dumbed down" content in RSD -- we're not creating "fun" pickup videos here that someone who isn't 200% serious about learning game could understand (although I think those types of videos are cool as hell and I'm a fan of them myself, it's just not what we're personally doing here).

It's always hard to understand gobbeldy gook that only guys who go out can really wrap their heads around.  We do this for the core fans who LIVE THE LIFE and GO OUT A LOT.  Anyone else will find the shit confusing as hell -- even offensive to their existing values and beliefs!

The future newbie site will be deliberately dumbed down, although let's be honest -- the average person STILL won't "get it" as it'll proactively alienate only 95 out of every 100 who see it. :)

The fact that it will have plain as day infield footage and explainations of HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITH GIRLS will mean most people's success ceilings will make their RAS block it out, so they can rationalize staying with their fat wives and living shitty existences of quiet desperation -- the TRUE dream of the 99%.

(Or oh wait, wasn't the reason their lives suck that they don't have enough "opportunity" and that they're "victims of circumstance" that blocked them from success?  And that the good looking rich elite are the only ones who can have sex with pretty girls, and that the little guy can't win?  Oh yeah, I forgot.....)

Anyway I think any truly respectable Youtube channel has 20,000 subscribers -- that's personally the number I'd expect if I'm looking at a channel I think is legit -- and myself and a few other instructors will hit it in the coming year.  We've done it with minimal advertising, no media, no joint partners -- NOTHING other than good old quality content and positive word of mouth.

Our business practices were learned from Seth Godin (www.sethgodin.com) and Gary Vaynerchuck (The Thank You Economy) -- just put out incredible free stuff for your core fans, and make the paid program OTHER WORDLY LEVEL VALUE -- the business end will take care of itself cause the people who love you will talk about you to their friends.

It's the HARD way to build a business, but the most satisfying and has the most longevity.  That's why we've grown 50% to 100% every year.  We're fucking bringing it.

Anyway ya, I think it's mad cool Julien has gotten 10K subscribers by just putting out quality content WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT, and I think his latest vblog as well was on another level as far as just the energy (the sex scene was amazing to me NOT because of the sex --- wooo sex! --- but because it was just so fucking FUNNY and the video was shot so well and had such good delivery and content and environment!)

The key for us has just been QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY week in and week out.  Maybe not quality for people not into the game, but pure awesomeness for people who "get it" and LIVE IT.

We're gonna get into the vBlog now, and btw here's a list of my upcoming programs.

I've just added brand new BC's in San Diego and Los Angeles with Julien, and they probably won't fill since they were added just a few days back at the last minute (small student - instructor ratio!).  We added them cause we love teaching together and saw the opportunity, so if you're around I'd URGE you to exploit us and take advantage.

(We taught programs together for 2 years before he was hired on and they were the most highly reviewed I've ever done because we have such chemistry as teachers.  Seriously, if you're considering doing a BC I'd get onto this NOW!  We're teaching them even if there was just 1 student cause we love teaching together as a chance to push eachother on our teaching skills.)

ALL programs will be amazing of course, and here's the list.... Those of you coming to see myself and BRAD in Vegas shortly, it's gonna be INSANE!

So today we're getting into a video that addresses some of the sleep loss I've gone through in the game, and I think this is important since people so often see me on low sleep and wonder WTF I'm doing.

As I explain in the video, 8 hours of sleep in a DARK ROOM is my fav thing in the world!  And it's only as a NEEDED TOOL that I will sometimes have to go without sleep.

Make no mistake -- to get to where I've gotten both gamewise and business wise, I've often gone MONTHS on shitty sleep.

It fucking sucks.  I HATE IT.

The only thing I hate even more?  That would be NOT being where I'm at game wise and life situation wise.

So I always strive for the best sleep possible, and only skimp out on it out of necessity at certain points to achieve a SPECIFIC GOAL.  Then once I've achieved it, it's back to THE BEST SLEEP I CAN GET!

I've always been willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get what I want out of life.  I don't care if I have to die to get it, I'm fucking getting it.

Yes it's extreme.  That's just me, I'm not suggesting it to anyone else.  I'm a competitor and want to push myself to bring the highest value to my viewers and students -- that's how it is.  I learned this from leaving home at 15 and hustling and doing crazy shit to get by -- go to whatever lengths it takes to get it done.

Again though, that's me.  I don't recommend that to other people.  I think other people should find a balance in their lives and achieve happiness.  For me happiness is dominating and being at my best --  anything less and I feel my soul eroding and being destroyed.

I wake up every day with a fucking purpose -- like my adreneline is jacked and I'm READY TO GO.

My brain doesn't even THINK STRAIGHT unless under pressure -- so I'm always striving to put myself under more and more.  Pressure CALMS me and makes me feel relaxed.

So sometimes the sleep is good, and sometimes not so good.  But I'm getting better and better at making it good.

THIS VIDEO HERE..... recorded on low sleep, after over a month of teaching Miami BC nearly every night, and I decided to wake up early to reset my schedule

CLICK THIS VIDEO TO BE WHISKED AWAY TO ULTRA AND NIKKI BEACH, AND LEARN THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING SLEEP!

Good stuff, hope you enjoyed it!

I'm going to go further on this topic of sleep in the upcoming self development company stuff.  Gonna be sick!

GO DEEPER -- CLASSIC VID!

Want to expand your knowledge on the above vid?  Go deeper.

I recorded a Free Tour video on this topic a while back, which talks about the Ying and Yang of energy output and recovery -- ie: SLEEP!

Super good vid IMO, but I don't think most people "get it".  YOU may get it better after having watched the above vid.

Have a look!

Good stuff if you watched this!

You should have a REALLY CLEAR viewpoint of expansion and contraction at this point, and some insight into your energy management to get done what you want to get done!

EXTERNAL RESOURCE OF THE WEEK!

Elliott Hulse is a fucking bad ass.

Dude is married with 4 kids, you don't need to look to him for "game tips" but rather he's just a guy you'd want to model in so many other ways.

He's into all the same "self learning" stuff as you'd see at RSD and has a ton to offer.

Check out his channel, he's super solid!

There's seriously a TREASURE TROVE of great info and entertainment from this dude, so subscribe to his Youtube ASAP!

That's it!  I'm off the gym, and then another day of cranking it out!

I'll probably post up a vid on LOUD DANCE AREA GAME next week, since I shot so much at Ultra Music Fest and Liv in Miami.

HIT ME BACK WITH COMMENTS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT SLEEP AND GOING MANIC IN THE GAME!  I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND APPRECIATE ALL FEEDBACK THANKS!!

I truly appreciate you reading this, and I"ll talk to you soon!

The progress you made is extremely inspiring.

Hey Tyler,

When I get a good night's sleep it makes all the difference. One of my favorite book's about time management that talks about the importance of sleep is, "The Power Of Full Engagement." I also realized that when I workout and eat healthy I'm able to sleep less. Have you noticed that?

Since I'm only 24 I do have times when I sleep less for gaming or my business but I also realized if I take 30-45 minute naps I can basically go all day long, have you ever tried that? Anyway great video blog bro.

P.S.
Didn't mean to run up on you when you where on the phone at the W Hotel on Sunday but it was nice to see you out in the field. Later.

damn, I thought I was the only rap dude who was into this type stuff....it makes me wonder how many dudes are actually into this stuff but just dont talk about it like fight club

good vid. I never noticed that "feminine energy" consistently snaps you out of that cranky type zone, I've had it happen everytime now that I think about it but I thought it was more based in like just waking up naturally vs. a biological thing

Sleep is the single most destressing thing you can do for your body and the most healing thing for your body's cells. More important than any nutritional minutiae.

Video was super sick. Found this one really inspiring for some reason. You are a hero Tyler!

No Tyler don't stop before at least 3 years lol.

I want to go to an Hot Seat, but I'm 17 and live in France so I can't go anywhere for now.  Maybe next year I'll come, so please don't stop. I would cry forever if the day I can come you stop doing it.

Btw, as usually nice video ;)

Keep it up !

Regarding your self development company - you leave game in good hands. Guys like Julien - your younger version or Alexander - very unique view are the new breed. They will make sure that game evolve.
At the same time - you exploring new area of life - general self development that would be sick. Just your last two videos are prove of that. The last video before that one - I consider just sick quality in terms of how well you explain super hard and somehow abstract concept.
I am waiting for this - because I know how much you can discover and bring to the table.
At the same time I know that instructors in RSD are super good already and also people at RSDN really bring some high quality content!

I still haven't seen the video(I am "working") but I am sure it's sick.

Just wanted to put this idea out there for a paying product.

An RSD iphone app that lets you access the latest rsdnation post - all rsdunderground - and daily quotes or inspiriation phrases by the instructors- all for 1.99

I'll buy that just for ease of access.

YEah!! self help company, love it!.  Pm me if you need any help - I am good with video, editing, graphic design, and I live in L.A - mid city area and I am very interested in how you are developing the self help company.!

peace!

Same situation, and really wanting to go. On a surface level it sucks, but if you look at it another way it's awesome - we're forced to actually go out and live this shit. No choice but to go hard. Someday I'd love to meet Owen just to thank him for saving my life and helping me beat alcoholism (there's no feeling as strong as the gratitiude to the guy who stops you from commiting suicide). Thanks Owen!!!!! On the other hand, he's a highly motivated and productive guy, and it's just retarded to be suprised or mad that he's finding other ways to push himself. Will miss his RSD content if he stops making it though.

Be inspired to live yourself, instead of giving in to the temptation to live through the instructors. I think this was mentioned in Julien's latest video.

Super relevant right now as i'm in a stupid rut, crazy sleeping patterns where I'm fallin asleep early ,sleeping for like 4-5 hours and then up for good. Ths originates from coming home at like 5-6am in the morning from clubs and allowing it to continue throughout the weekend, I always have these spurges of fucked up sleeping patterns, but it's like isit a good thing, because when I come out of it, I'm highly conscious, popping up with new biz ideas, rapid fire game, more whitty and carefree but on the flipside, when I'm underslept, it can happen to.

Weird how this vid is relevant now.

Yeah content has been sick the last week, I feel that alot of the ideas lately are really things I already knew, things I was learning naturaly from going out, but hearing it from instructors smoothens it out, and it always hits me on a deeper and deeper level, like you verbalise and make it sink deeper what you learn, don't know if that makes sense, but FUCKING awesome contentkeep it up

At the end of the night, when Im super tired, my game becomes horrible. I hate everyone around me and I get super not sociable.

But if on the same day I don´t sleep the night of the next day my game becomes 2 times better than the day before. It's like I've lose all filters, I hardly hear what the girl said, my mouth produces gold. Its awesome. But thats not something that can happen aways

OMG, I really felt a cold lump in my stomach when you said you're starting another self-help company. I recognize what you're talking about: I've been living on breadcrumbs and sleeping in cars, on the beach, in shit, just to squeeze the most pickup time out my resourses as I can.
While getting highly mediocre results for YEARS, there's not a day that goes by now, where I don't ask myself if I'm spending my time in a worthwhile way. I finally decided, that after this year... I have to find a sustainable way, to just do pickup, however long it will take. I'm 25 now, can't put my life on hold for something that aint moved for years of me pushing it with all I've got.

Seeing you write your doubts about continuing is a feeling akin to seeing your hero backing down "That's it. I'm done." how the people of Gotham would feel if Batman one day made a speech "I give up, you're on your own now."

Of course, I still think you should do it, whatever you think is the right way to go. It's slightly sad though in some way.

You are so fucking CHARISMATIC; I don´t even check the topic you are going to talk about before clicking on the video.  I think that´s one of the great lessons for today.

Hey Tyler amazing content as always...also LOVED seeing the girls on the beach!

Anyway I'm glad you posted this because its extremely relevant to my current situation. I'm 22 and in my first year of dental school. I love sleep and I need a good 9-10 hours of it to function to my maximal potential. I actually was one of the guys about a year ago at the new york free tour asked you about sleep and performance and was talking about what you think of it.

My problem is that with my current schedule I can't get that. To make matters much much worse I get a lot of anxiety about my sleep and whenever I have to be up early in the morning I can't fall asleep sometimes at all and if I do it takes a really long time. I totally know what you mean about being paranoid on no sleep. It sucks because the more tired I am the more stressed I am and the more stressed I am the harder it is to stabilize my mood and fall asleep. In the past if this were to happen id just go out and pimp but now with this crazy courseload and a relationship It makes it next to impossible to do that. This really has been a major issue for me especially this past year which I almost failed a class and very seriously considered dropping out of school many times.

Otherwise lol, I'm relatively normal. And usually if I don't have to be up in the morning or have a shitton of work to do I fall asleep fine and usually sleep soundly through the night.

Owen what are you're thoughts on this and how do you make yourself fall asleep at will?

Also we learned that when you don't sleep your inhibitory responses in the brain are less which could deffinitely explain why you're and most people's game is better. (Ease of becoming more free and unstifled, exploring what's possible etc.)

btw, best ressource ever on sleep(motherload!). at this stage it's an article the size of a book, but hey, since we are all likely to sleep several 100.000s of hours, might as well take a few to understand it.
http://supermemo.com/articles/sleep.htm

It's hard to do 100% to get a healthy sleep, but every step helps.
Good sleep is totally compatible with partying & going out. Just gotta make sure the circadian cycle is aligned with the subjective day by having regular hours etc.

Btw tyler, since you talk so often of the masses... how do you think about them? Especially how do you deal with content/beliefs that are associated with them (aka bullshit). Coz my reaction is either to get sick in the gut by the bullshit, or to tell myself "another thing for the zombies, less competition".
Coz in my personal mind os, we are living in the right place at the right time, things have never been that great before, with freedom, knowledge, there is no excuse not to get the best this "reality plane" has to offer. Yet... there's so much bullshit around... why, why!!

Btw++: It's easy to sleep less and be healthier consistently and have more energy with good diet, fixing health problems: nutrient deficiencies, digestion, detoxification etc.. (testing!), relaxation, lots of light, relaxation and altered states. And sleeping at the right time..

Tyler-

In Miami you said your Game reached new heights because you were practicing so much.

Can you go into details as how your game is still enhancing? I thought I saw another video of yours where u said you no longer to out to sharpen your pickup skills but other your "commitment" skills instead.

I'm an advanced player of the game who does get girls but feels like there is nothing else left to learn in the game... I'm curious as to how you--a veteran adanced guy-- is still learning in the game.

Please respond :)

I love the absurdity of this. I love how your at Ultra with clips of making out with girls and your message is, "Get sleep and eat green vegetables." I sometimes think public announcement commercials should be like this.

You're making a lot of things click in my head Tyler. The vids you've been putting out lately make no sense.

My life has never been as good as it has since I found out about RSD this year.

WIsh you much success with your self help company.

This video is hillarious. Tyler looks drunk as fuck lol What he says at 10:40 is soo true. I felt that way the other night when I had a mental shift. It happens when you go out and accomplish something you didn't think was really possible. You just can't sleep lol

This reminds me of that one motivational video where the dude said something like "To be successful, you have to willing to give up sleep. Because if you sleep, you might miss the opportunity to be successful."

Such a great topic. Playawon... I saw the same inspirational video. Think it's by Eric Thomas who is a motivational speaker as well (Secrets to Success or maybe Get Uncomfortable Being Uncomfortable)

So this topic is huge for me, since it's what I practice and preach because of the work I do.

Even though I love coaching people to better sleepy nights, alongside nutritional coaching, I find that I have gotten myself almost tooooooooooooooo used to getting amazing sleep for the past 10-15 years. People have started calling me "old man." hahahaha. It's made me realize that I don't always have to go into my wind down period, dim my lights, read, meditate, have my balanced snack, etc.....I do need to focus on living life and getting shit done too! Yes of course I know the power of sleep and have felt the benefits for years.....at the same time...I need to literally wake-up to the fact that I can also push myself in a different way (going out, etc) when I keep staying at home with my thumb in my bum.

Tyler, like you said....we can get shit done when we are angry, exhausted, not feeling energized. I have noticed certain times when I am in a pissed off mood I really don't give a shit, and have thought "damn, I feel like going to chat up whoever or go do whatever I want." It's a unique feeling in the brain and body that surfaces when those specific emotions show up.

I need to experiment with the opposite in my opinion....the getting less sleep factor, since I have been getting great sleep too often and find it the reason I stay at home way too much. Boot camp is around the corner, so time for the sleepless challenge of positive emotions :)

I posted my video on Positive Sleep Habits in my blog yesterday. I need about 2 hours less sleep each night since using the
techniques I describe.

The most important thing is position, the other techniques are mainly for how to get yourself to fall asleep quickly.
