Hey there!
I'm shooting off to ORLANDO FLORIDA for Free Tour / Hot Seat / Bootcamp in a few hours.
If you're in or near the state of Florida I highly recommend you attend as I rarely get to Orlando and it may well be the last time I ever visit Orlando for a RSD event!
Todd has decided to get in on the Bootcamp as well so there's now spots on the event we're running together, whereas it was previously sold out.
Hopefully we'll have time to check out Disney World while we're down there, and shoot a few vids!
In the meantime here's my schedule for the upcoming few months!
December 20, 2012: Orlando
January 3, 2013: Los Angeles
January 17, 2013: Dallas
February 7, 2013: Aspen, Colorado
February 14, 2013: Miami Model Season
www.rsdfreetour.com / www.rsdhotseat.com / www.rsdbootcamp.com
I have a 3 person team that handles ALL of your questions about RSD events -- Stuart, Huey, and David -- all guys in their 20's who are highly active in the game and pimp it with instructors personally, call them any time to talk game or ask any questions you want!
NORTH AMERICA (Toll Free): +1 (888) 546 7286
EUROPE: +44 (0) 2079 934 034
AUSTRALIA: +61 280 155 522
ASIA: +81345789305
Lastly, Julien and I are going to be running "5 Day Alumni-Only Bootcamps" in Miami South Beach during the infamous "Model Season" this Spring. We've had to add several new weeks to this to meet the demand, and there's few spots left so if you want to do this SIGN UP NOW! (No fake scarcity here -- we're now spending over a month straight in Miami to meet the demand, which is kinda absurd and as far as I'm willing to stretch it!).

So I just got back from Papa's wedding in Maui this past weekend, which was amazing!
And prior to that I was in attendance at Anthony Robbins 6 day "Date With Destiny" seminar.
There seemed to be a ton of interest as to what my experience was like, so I wound up recording a video whlie I was down there.
I go deep into the topic of the value of self development, and reveal how Tony's first event I did (Unleash The Power Within) changed my life nearly a decade ago.
CLICK THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW TO SEE TYLER AT TONY ROBBINS "DATE WITH DESTINY" -- GOING INTO THE GOAL OF SELF HELP AT A HIGH LEVEL!
Interestingly I nearly recorded 2 hours worth of content about what I learned from the event -- but it was more about how to RUN events and I didn't feel it was appropriate to the RSD list for now.
(Cool for hardcore fans, but just way confusing and over the top to a new viewer.)
In the future when I teach more business related content, I'll review the video-notes that I took and teach ALL of it however.
The main thing I talked about in those 2 hours was the idea of "buy in".
I realized that Tony accomplishes "buy in" with 5 main methods.
1- Charismatic speaking
2- Ability to pace the experience of the audience
3- Huge crowds who all have also bought in
4- Celebrity endorsements
5- The fact he looks like a giant space alien, which makes him seem surreal
My interest in this topic came from the fact that I FINALLY understood the experience of people who aren't into RSD.
Literally for years I couldn't remotely understand how not every guy on the planet wouldn't be into getting hardcore field tested advice on how to have sex with prettier / more girls than he's currently getting.
(I mean wouldn't you have to be RETARDED not to take advice like that?? WHAT. THE. FUCK????)
But I realized that it's the "buy in" that makes the advice effective.
If you don't buy in to the fact that it'll help you, your "RAS" will just keep finding every little thing wrong with it.
That's why some people who watch my stuff are literally finding every little thing they can to poke holes in it, rather than go out and try it for themselves.
Conversely, the whole "buy in" phenomenon is what tunes in people's "RAS" to all the GOOD THINGS about something if they like it -- which allows them to learn faster and more effectively.
Tony, for example, is able to run a weeklong event and hold people's attention who might not be able to sit for 3 hours watching a hundred million dollar movie (that's an example he gives).
Because he has "buy in" people are not only willing to watch it for hours, but they're learning at a super high rate.
People have said this to me in the streets for years when they stop me to say hi -- "I watched Blueprint from start to finish, I've never been able to sit in a classroom for more than half an hour!"
This is the same reason that people pay so much money to have speakers come to corporate events.
When a big company pays me huge money to do a corporate event, they could just as easily show Blueprint on the screen. And the content would be better than what I teach at the event!
But they're not paying for the content, they're paying me to come and FORCE THE BUY IN.
Same with Avicii or Deadmau5 playing in Vegas. They could easily just play their record, but having the DJ on hand is what causes the crowd's buy-in and makes them get all crazy dancing and all that.
All mainstream music is like this as well. Yes, Tupac is an incredible world class rapper, but so is FREEWAY! And you don't see people jamming to Freeway's music the way Tupac had everyone going. Why? Cause Tupac caused the "buy in" and so people's RAS were more willing to tune into the music and find the good in it.
This whole "buy in phenomenon" is also why it's oftentimes bad when someone sends a friend on one of my programs and pays for it.
The fact they haven't watched my material or bought into the idea of PUA causes them to hate the program the whole way through. I've seen it for years.
Likewise I prefer that FRIENDS of mine do the program with a different instructor than me? Why? So that they'll BUY IN.
I spoke for hours on this topic, but again, I wanted to shorten the video and make it more relatable as opposed to a rant that less people would find interesting -- so I'll cover this EXTENSIVELY in future programs related to business.
In the meantime, give some thought to the topic of "buy in" and keep it in mind as it relates to your own life.
<>===================<>
Anyway lots of great videos on the way -- I shot another 3 in Maui, on the topics of why not to use money and prostitutes to get laid, why I've had so many novel experiences in life, and a great vid from Papa's wedding!
I'll hit you back with those soon, and please hit me back with comments on self development at a high level and "buy in"!
Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you soon!

Funny enough, he said he couldnt finish The art of Seduction cause he was not into this player stuff. He wanted the girl to like him for who he was.. Chodish, so I didn't argue. Let it be. Later we went to the restaurant to get some drinks and I saw this beautiful-super-model looking like girl. I went to talk with her, although she was sad and dismissed me.. later I got her facebook and had a pleasant conversation before she got off the train.
Well, now the smart dude, who was not into picking-up-chicks, was suddenly very interested in what, how and why I said every word and every gesture to her! He was 'bought in'.
Thanks for the video Tyler! See you soon ;)

Amazing point about looking back at the goals you set through Tony & Eben, and realizing you're living them! I've gotten a lot from those two over the years as well. Peace.

Can you expand on how you actually set your goals to keep yourself motivated? What's your way of making goals feel like a must rather than something that would just be nice? You talked a little about writing them down in '07.
I'm really interested in the non-game aspect of what you're saying and want to apply it to getting higher grades during my undergrad.

I'm similarly curious about the Foundations product. Testing even a single idea thuroughly takes me literally weeks - going out every day. Don't want to fill myself up with something that's even partially phased out.
"Take the CORE of my teachings, and go out try it"
I would actually really like to know exactly what that core would be. Probably
1: Approach people
2: Push your comfort
3: Keep an open mind
30 days of that I'd say will without doubt open up any newbe's mind to that he sucks donkey penis. I guess that's at least a great motivationer to keep going. 2 years in of doing this 24/7 and one thing is clearer than never before: Progress is slow and gradual - even if the quick freak victories sometimes would try to convince you otherwise.

Most people have this perception that their life consists of ups and downs. I see it as a continuous escalation but you may veer off to one side or another. The negative and the positive are the same. It's a very monistic perspective as opposed to the common dualistic perspective. I feel as though i often switch between the whichever perception is better for my current situation.
Back to life being self developement. Even if subciouncess, people learn what's bad for them when thier not achieving what they want to achieve. And vise versa in terms of whats good for them. This means your always learning and therefore always escalating (self devopement).
Some argue that when people repeat the same "mistake" they never learned the lesson in the first place. However that person just needs more reference experiences to internalize the lesson. Think of each repeated "mistake" as a chapter in the book (lesson).
When people refer to "self developement" I think of a high potency learning experience or strong positive vibration.
I'll go more in depth at the Orlando free tour tomorrow.
The buy in makes perfect sense by the way. It clearifies some things about the RAS.
Much love RSD fam.

Through the whole thing I had epiphanies hitting me left and right.
I always love how you are able to suck people into your own reality so easily.
Towards the end of the video I felt as if I was face to face with you.. It was super weird but liberating experience.
Also I totally agree with your concept about the origin of why self-improvement helps and works.
Because of how man times I've stopped self-improvement, fucked up started up prior addictions..ect
But every time I'm on a self-improvement kick my life takes a complete turn for the better.
Good job :)
Oh and check out 6 harsh truths that will make you a better person by David Wong. (On phone no link)
I loved how he wrote the article and the amount of value it offered. I highly suggest you check it out if you haven't already.

Like the best teams out there all have these bright shining eyes from the buy in. 99% of the time its because the teacher has "gone first."

I think this happens because in life we have many stimulus that try on to "buy in" us with the same methods like Tony.
This stimulus we don't pick. It's fake stimulus.
It's very important to be focus on your own path or you've been a chode.
ps Thanks Tyler for Awesome material, Thanks RSD for practice second languge ;)

Everytime you deviate from your ideal beeing, he s there to hit you with some visceral pain.
that s what I would need to live my life, instead of what I m living right now : in a cage of pain and regrets, and bullshit, a fucking black cloud is on my head,
fucking demons torturing me....see , i m a fucking winning bitch. despair, I feel despair right now. I don t give a fuck to get laid,
I went out saturday, everygirl who was close to me was attracted to me, a black hot girl wanted to fuck me , but I stay commited to my relationship and declined the offer.
But I don t give a fuck about that, I give a fuck about carreer and money. I feel total despair about that. And the thing is , I can t go to those fucking jobs, I can t . I can t breathe in those environments.
winningly,
have a blast with tony crazy

the free content you put out is fucking amazing shit thanks for all the great insights and time you put into it. To be honest I don't go out and do pick up anymore (I'm 47 divorsed with a younger girlfriend 35) but I still apply the shit to my relationship and every day life. I'd love to see you do more content on applying this stuff to relationships and how to maintane attraction in a marrige/long term relationship.
Thanks!

I just don't have words for the appreciation I'm getting for this guy. My life has been chaging for the better just by watching his videos. Sometimes I think this is so crazy... Like... Your life taking a total different way because of someone you never saw in front of you.
Anyways, I think self-help is really great and It can change our lives for the better. But we really gotta focus on the best people (for example Tyler, Tony Robbins, Brad, ...), because there is so much material that you can get a little bit mad if you try to absorv everything at same time (saying by my own experience). And also something really important is to put the content in practise at real life after you get the information, because if you wait you problably will forget and you will apply nothing at the end of the day (which is a huge waste of time).
So... Learn from the really good people, and the most important apply it!
About the topic of "buy in" I really believe in that. It's a great content to Tyler bring in because it affects all of us everytime. It's really great to see someone who is engaged in teaching (and in the content he is bringing) like Tyler because (I believe cause of the Law of State Transference) you get engaged too. And by that you really learn way more, as opposed to teachers who don't give a shit neither to teaching (like in university) neither for the content.
It's a important thing to know about that because from that you can choose your teachers, and you perceive that sometimes you are not getting the content not because you are unintelligent, but beacuse who is teaching has no "buy in" (but be carefull here too, it's your responsability to seek good teachers and if you don't have the possibility to change of teacher... learn the skill by yourself).
The text got a little big, but it's okay if you are seeking good content and don't have laziness to read.
Peace.

Interesting about buy in's. I did wonder sometime ago why the music industry spent so much money on producing music video's, until I realised these video's were affecting how I rated the music of the artist - which when you think about it is pretty lame.

There’s no way Tony could ever be "evil". He’s too intelligent for
that.
Evil people take value from others and Tony obviously knows how to
generate value. Therefore, he's a "good guy."
As is everyone who understands you can generate all your own values.
Tony's wife and kids are super lucky to have him.

I thank Tyler for providing stuff that genuinely helps others, yet constantly discourages blind followers and closed-minded victims. You can tell he really 'gets it' and that 'bought in' people will be massively loyal to him for that in the future, just like Tony R. has done. Visiting this site daily actually helps me positively re-frame my mind a lot.
It's also interesting that self-help can have a really negative stigma to it though. Of course there's a lot of people out there who prey on the desperate. But many people see it all as very wanky/ra-ra too, which it sure can be. But it's almost as if they think that you should never need any help! Thank god I think independently.
Thanks

Realizing why and when I buy in with business ideas and they work out vs being super skeptical (irrationally) and seeing only why it will fail.
Huge.
This + contraction / expansion are the two biggest concepts I've taken from you this year Tyler.
So thanks man.
If every person who found value in these ideas posted here the comments would be insane. Glad I could at least show you that it's hitting some of us deeply.
Cheers man

Have you experimented with Float / Sensory Deprivation Tanks? I have been into meditation for about the last 6 months and have done one session in a tank...whole new level of deep that has carried over into normal meditation sessions and life in general. Going back for session two soon.

I don't know, maybe if you're stupid enough to spend beyond your means at one of those seminars, then you deserve the credit card debt. But to me it seems win-lose--he's basically taking advantage of weak-minded people that are unlikely to have the wherewithal to follow through.
