Tyler's Blog

Tyler

Hey there!

Just got back from the gym and about to start packing for SEATTLE!

Julien and Jeff will be there as well.

If you live in the North West of the USA I'd *urge* you to at very least get your ass out to the Free Tour.

Do NOT assume we will be doing these forever.  It's been a good run and we'll do it while we can.  But given the opportunity is in front of you, get on it while it's 100% happening.

Anyway I'm psyched out of my mind to be heading back to Seattle, as it's always one of my fav cities to hit up.

The gaming is nothing special but it's not bad either (I got laid every night last time I was there lol).

Mostly I just love the nature, mountains, ocean, and city itself.  It feels like a privilege to be there.  I'm sure I'll have a great vid to share from my trip, and you'll see what I mean.

In the meantime -- speaking of PRIVILEGES to be somewhere -- I'm sure you're curious where the hell that picture you see in the thumbnail is from!

It's Half Dome Mountain at Yosemite, where I shot 3 video blogs a month back.

INCREDIBLE trip

Really mind blowing, on the level of the Napali Coast.  I definitely recommend visiting the park, it's a top notch couples trip to bring out one of your bitches for serious romance and cherishing.

(Of course most of my trip was me running around recording vblogs lol...)

The video will cover the topic of how to make huge decisions, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

btw here's a list of my upcoming events...

TODAY'S NEW VID!

So my main goal at Yosemite was to shoot a multi shot video on one of my more complicated topics.

While doing that video, I found what I felt was my FAV shot in the whole park -- Half Dome mountain -- and made a "stand alone" video at that location.

It's on the topic of how to make huge decisions that involve cutting off people or situations that you're benefitting from.

I get asked these question a lot from guys...

1- Should I dump my GF to learn game?

2- Should I ditch my negative friends to create the space for more positive friends?

3- Should I ditch my GF who won't do threesomes with me for one who will (Hint: YES YES YES ... lol j/k, except I'm kinda not....)

4- Should I drop out of school to build a biz?

5- Should I do an expensive program like a Bootcamp to get good at game?

These are all great questions and the answer depends on the person.

It really comes down to what you'll do with the opportunity.

Oftentimes you may want change for the sake of change, when in reality you're burning your most valuable relationships and future opportunities by rationalizing you're manning up.

Other times you just GOTTA do it, and it's time to pull the fucken trigger.  LET'S GO!!

Be ready for the living hell of change, but also the long term benefits that will accrue!

CLICK THIS VIDEO TO GO DEEP ON THE TOPIC OF HUGE DECISIONS THAT WILL PROFOUNDLY AFFECT YOUR LIFE!

Psyched you checked it out!

If you'd like to see what Yosemite looks like, this is one of the most beautiful and emotionally inspiring videos I've seen in my life.........

(The video used to be on Youtube but they cancelled it from the copyrighted song, so they replaced the music with some shittier music that doesn't suit the vid.  LUCKY for us that Vimeo still has the original that I love.)

I'd URGE you to click on this video, lay back and enjoy it.

http://vimeo.com/35396305

I used to show this video to girls during LMR as well to get them highly emotional, and I now plan to show both the vBlog about "big decisions" (*cough* sleeping with me) and this video as well.

Quite devious. :)

Now you can as well lol.

GO DEEPER -- CLASSIC VID

This is a BAD ASS video that I shot of my previous Napali Coast hike.

It covers all sorts of topics about "going for what you want" and is very much related to the previous vid.

For some reason some vids are more popular than others, and this one never accured a lot of views, but it was one of the hardest to shoot I've ever done.

Why?

Cause I'm shooting it while WALKING ON THE SIDE OF A CLIFF that could kill me if I fall lol.

Yes I'll do ANYTHING to get the damned shot.

Good shit!

You're now locked and loaded, ready to go!

FORUM POSTS OF THE WEEK

Check this out, it's a FULL explaination of the Foundations of game that I wrote!!

A "must read" if you're into the game.

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/492248/forum

And here's a compilation of great "one liners" that many people also enjoyed.

Entertaining and immediately useable lol!

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/118582/forum

As always I like to remind you to respond to GOOD threads in the forum.

Content dense and of real substance.

Ignore all bullshit gossip, dick crack debates, and time wasters.

Being a pimp means valuing your time.  The forum is a phenomenal resource for you if you're coming up in the game, but please remember that we aren't willing to delete everything and there is often a lot of crap in there.

Focus on the GOOD stuff and make your own little reality in the forum.  Let the idiots who waste their own time continue to do so, it's not your problem, focus on responding to VALUE and contributing it as well!

Reward great posters with comments and props!!  Thanks!

EXTERNAL RESOURCE OF THE WEEK

I couldn't help but add in the movie "Samsara" for you, as it was one of my favs from the past year -- and I was lucky enough to catch it at the Arclight theatre in Los Angeles.

What a mind blowing movie.  It's 2 hours of "presence inspiring" imagary.  Pure energy, no plot.

If you enjoyed the Yosemite Vimeo clip I linked to, this is like that on fucking steroids with a giant dildo up it's ass.

One of the best 2 hours you will ever spend, but you need to really lock yourself in and soak it up.

If you enjoyed this I'd suggest grabbing a copy in proper HD to support the creators (very worth it) and also check out his previous movie "Barraka".

btw my fav aspect of this movie was how they show you the world with all it's beauty and disgusting elements.

You're all emotionally vulnerable from the stunning imagery, then you're forced to look at a slaughterhouse and stay present to that as well.

Really rubs it in your face, gets you thinking about this amazing and bizarre life on earth.  Brilliant.

<>=================================<>

THANKS!

So I'm out of here, and plan to release another FREE TOUR vid from San Francisco next week!

It should be a really good one and I'm psyched for you to see it.

There's also just a ton of amazing new things going on around RSD and I'm psyched for you to find out about them as well.  We're growing like crazy and the future adventures and possibilities are looking pretty insane!

PLEASE HIT ME BACK WITH YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT MAJOR LIFE DECISIONS!  WHAT DECISIONS HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE? WHAT WERE THE DEFINING FACTORS IN WHAT YOU DECIDED?

Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you soon!

Love it! Ironically a great quote to summarize some of these concepts I learned in school.  Really inspired me.

Jesus, that is exactly what I needed to hear about my friends. Some of them are cool dudes who I still want in my life but some of them just inspire negativity and laziness in my life. Thank you Tyler!

Thanks again,

I actually can relate with you Tyler so much. With your perspective in what action to take, and your "what if " fears at the time. Which I still have lingering "what if" fears till now. I'm few levels lower than you, but I'm getting there soon.

I relate to this video a lot.

A couple of years back I had a steady enough job, steady long term relationship, decent apartment in a fairly dead end city. I basically had a comfortable, conventional life ahead of me. It would have been easy to continue on with it.

FUCK THAT! I realised I had so much unrealised potential. I left my job, my relationship ended and I moved cities. I now am heading into my final year of a great degree at a great school, living in a city I love, growing in terms of self-actualisation and game.

Taking the leap is difficult as fuck. One thing to keep in mind is always the old saying "this too shall pass". Any difficulties or hardships you incur from making a change will be temporary. It's also a good idea to look at the worst case outcome and realise you can probably handle it. Tim Ferriss talks about this concept sometimes and relates it to an old Roman philosopher or king or something similar who reccomended people take some time to live in poverty and realise they can handle it and it was nothing to be fearful of.

Props Tyler for the constant inspiration to continue along an unconventional, uncomfortable but ultimately awesome path through life.

This is seriously weird. I met my Uncle Yesterday in a bar and we had a Beer and talked for an hour or two because we bearly see each other now. He's a successful lawyer and been through alot in life so far,so I asked him for advice exactly about the subject you opened the vid with. About the friends. This is really weird and not at all in my head ;)

Anywho, this vid struck me hard for many reasons. To me,one of the best you did.

Ps:I've noticed you bring some of your future bizz content to the last few vids, are you?

Thanks,Sensei - Yeezus out.

I like this video, since I am trying to enact change in my life at this point. I used to be very active in pick up and got a serious LTR and I love her but I felt this craving for change in my life. SO I am out apporaching again, however without the intent of taking a girl home for sex since Im still in my LTR. Though the real change I am making is not just that but I also am cutting out the things that I feel have really slowed me down like smoking weed and the stoner friends that come with it. We smoke and do nothing and it feels lame as of late. Not that I dont like the guys, they are good honest people, but I want to do more. I dont think I am going to cut them off but I am not going to wait around for them to be convinced by me to go out. I hope by leading by example that they will start to change and if not that is ok as well.

The terrible part of it all is my social anxiety came back from the 3 years of not going out and now I have to overcome it again but this time without my best friend who winged me in my first year. Its a challenge but if I keep doing what I have been doing Ill keep getting what I have been getting

I get the point that no one should burn their bridges unless they follow up by building new ones. However, the value of a university degree isn't the piece of paper. Its the courses you took and the learning you did to get it. Especially the higher level courses.

not been watching any RSD for a month or two, jesus is listening to Tyler such a breath of fresh air. No bullshit (or well im sure theres some bullshit) but the main message just telling you to go for it , and if you don't, the only one to blame is yourself.

I totally resonate with the first video. Decided to move from Sweden and study in Hong Kong (now temporarily studying fall-quarter in Georgia, US, then back again) and I have never regretted my decision whatsoever. I try not to judge people at home (when I'm back in Sweden) for staying in their home country, but I have a hard time connecting to people that express their boredom and bitterness, without doing anything radical with their lives. Sure, sometimes it's hard if you've dug yourself down in responsebilities and debt, and for those people I mostly just feel sorry.

By living abroad I've really gotten the sense that there's an infinite amount of stuff to do and that most people are missing out. I'd urge anyone who can to get out and see what's out there!

Peace!
