Tyler's Blog

Tyler

HEY THERE!

Just got back into Los Angeles from 5 weeks in South Beach.  The next few weeks you'll be seeing video blogs that I shot while I was there, including great shots of Miami, Nikki Beach, and Ultra Music Fest.

Some great infield stuff in there as well.  Probably the last bit I'll be posting in video blogs for a while, as my focus is turning to accumulating new footage for Hot Seat.

(Funny enough I'm getting such good stuff, I can "get away" with posting a bit of it, since what I have for the new Hot Seat is on such a higher level.)

It's also been tough being back to my children after 5 weeks gone.  It was really hard on my first son Vincent, who may possibly be autistic (he's withdrawn and barely speaks at age 3 -- no worries, we'll see what happens...) and very noticeably regressed since I was away.

On the good side he's also improved noticeably since my return, and it's great to be back in LA.  The trip to South Beach wasn't supposed to be so long but the programs just kept filling and filling (thanks to everyone who came out!) and it was the best chance I've had in forever to really go hard in the game.

Going through the "highs" and "lows" in such rapid succession, from going out non stop in such a crazy environment, it does things for your pickup skills you wouldn't imagine.

I was just absolutely crushing it out there, but today you're in for a treat because I'll be revealing a video that shows a night where I was STRUGGLING LIKE CRAZY.

It ends as many of my worst nights do -- with me pulling some cute girl, from my SHEER WILL TO WIN getting it done.  I have well honed processes and understandings that I use to do this, which we'll get to in a minute.,....

In the meantime, check out my schedule, and if you want to do a program with me I strongly advise you to do so SOON because it'll be harder for me to travel or teach pickup related programs in the future!

<>==================================================<>

Okay so today we're gonna get into a pretty crazy video, which has shots from like 6 different locations, infield footage, and a ton of great info.

I decided to shoot it on one of the hardest nights I experienced in Miami, and on 3 hours sleep LOL.

The funny thing about hard nights is that they are the single best chance to improve your game!  It's so funny to me reading guys who go through hard nights and go home and cry about it, when for my entire career in the game I've always recognized them as the BEST time to improve!

Why are they the best time to improve?

Because you have to be super aware of your processes and how your brain is working to GET IT DONE!

One of the big aspects of this:  The "process oriented trance" VS the "results oriented trance"!

Basically the SINGLE BIGGEST FUCKUP of most guys having a rough night is this.....

They are mentally locked into a RESULTS ORIENTED TRANCE!  This is super creepy and vibes the girls in the absolutely wrong way.

In the case of my own bad night, I'd been kept awake and on only 3 hours of sleep the night before, and then had also been absolutely crushing it so wanted to REPEAT those same results while underslept.  Well too bad for me it wasn't happening easily ,so I went back to basics, hammered it out til the bitter end, and got it done!

I'm going to reveal to you in here some of the most profound secrets I've ever stumbled upon to do this, most spefically, the distinction of the PROCESS ORIENTED TRANCE.

Buckle up and enjoy this one, and let me know what you think!

CLICK THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW TO MAKE THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE "PROCESS ORIENTED TRANCE" VS THE "RESULTS ORIENTED TRANCE!"

Hope you enjoyed this one!

Was my speaking a bit hard to follow while being so tired?  I felt that it was when I re-looked at it, but I'd be curious what people think.

If you re-watch the video a few times, there is GOLD information in there that took me a DECADE PLUS TO FIGURE OUT.

As you know I’m creating the newbie site that will go into great detail about the
3 P’s

1. Present to the moment
2. Process oriented
3. Positive Life

until I do, I recommend you to check out Brad’s product...  Evolutions

If you haven’t checked out Brad’s Evolution product yet, you will notice that even though our teachings differ a little bit --his whole course is Process focused: for newbies, intermediates & advanced guys...

what Brad emphasizes in every level, is a mindset that is congruent to being very present to the moment... (I’m awesome --I’m having fun --she’s a nympho) isn’t that interesting how he has different denomination for his methods, but it all comes back to owning the moment without being in a results-oriented-trance...

...as far as a positive life (creating your own positive emotions,) Brad’s whole life is a positive reframe that stems from his “extreme self love...” and his whole Brigade crew embody those character traits... Brad interviews one of his Brigade boys every month in the immersion part of the Evoltuions program; I really enjoy it, and I think you should check it out.

every single video I've ever put out has been something that increased my results very noticeably.  The reason I push and push in the game is to get the little insights that I reveal in these vids, so GO OUT and make use of them!

For me the game is LIFE.  It's my passion and my life purpose, and there is nothing I'd rather be doing at any time than playing the game.  So whether that's arguably weird or not, take the insights and go use them to change your life!  I have to BUST MY ASS to gain these where they're just handed to you on a platter!

Take advantage and GO OUT!!  :)

GO DEEPER:  CLASSIC VID

I also love to add a video that expands on the topic, which you may have seen in the past, but to RE-watch with the new context of this recent vid.

This one of one of my favs.  It's a clip from Hot Seat where I show how to pull while out of state, similar to what I showed in this vid.  Check it out!

Good stuff!  Now what to do?  Get out there and PULL ANYWAY if you're having a shit night!

FAV RSDN POSTS OF THE WEEK!

I just perused the forums and a few of these jumped out at me that I liked...

JMULV:  His account of meeting one of my best friends in the world, Derrick -- who is a total pimp.

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/381543/forum

Manwhore:  A post about how the way you do one thing is the way you do everything, which I think was bumped up for good reason.

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/83961/forum

Haze:  A thread about being Julien's instructor assistant LOL.

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/368528/forum

Distant Light:  A post about how he's developed lifestyle game.  He's IMO overly critical of cold approach, which I think is natural when you start getting laid a lot through lifestyle game -- but I love what it sounds like he's doing and I do a lot of the same stuff in LA as well.

http://www.rsdnation.com/node/388434/forum

Always good stuff in the forums if you're cool with a lesser signal-to-noise ratio than the frontpage, if you haven't read them check em out!

<>==================================<>

So anyway I'm out of here and I hope you enjoyed all this!

The video on the topic of being in a "process oriented trance" -- PUT A FOCUS ON THIS AND IMPLEMENT IMMEDIATELY!!!

You'll be loving life when you do.

HIT ME BACK WITH COMMENTS ON HOW YOU'VE PUSHED THROUGH BAD NIGHTS AND THE CONCEPT OF BEING PROCESS ORIENTED!  I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND APPRECIATE ALL FEEDBACK!!

Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you soon!

By far my favorite video! Hit the nail on the head for me.

Been having some issues with approach anxiety (def not as bad as year ago), but I was contributing it to laziness and I think the root cause must have been being results orientated and getting burnt out half way through the night.

Definitely been shifting towards process orientation, but this video just solidified it and made it that much clearer. I'm extremely tired right now and on only a few hours of sleep after going out last night and getting up early for a meeting, but fuck it. After work tonight, gonna hit the gym and then go out for 30 minutes or so dedicated fully to the process.

I liked the 6 different shots idea, super cool. The videos and the shots you've put out have made me get into photography and now I take pictures and want to take a creative picture of every city/town/interesting location etc I visit when I start traveling after college.

Great video as usual!

Hey Tyler,

Being process oriented has been the biggest thing that has changed my game big time!!!! Not just with pickup but with my life. I think it is interesting that you mentioned when you are doing work, meditation, etc for the first hour or so your brain starts to say, "This sucks, why I'm I doing this, etc."

I experience this with my sales business EVERYTIME before I get up in the morning and make my cold calls/ follow up calls. My brains says, "Why are you doing this, this sucks, go back to bed, etc." Since I'm process oriented I get on the phone anyway and after the first hour I start to think, "I love cold calling, I love talking to people, etc."

I love what George Leonard says in his book Mastery, "Learn to enjoy the plateau but also play the edge." A lot of guys don't push themselves and don't approach and say I'm enjoying the process instead of playing the edge, getting "rejected" and still being process oriented. Thanks for the video post. Valuable.

I hope everything  works out with your son bro.

I have personally received help from this guy and he is really smart; Tyler probably wouldn't agree with some of his views on nutrition but he has helped me get over a lot of serious, serious health issues.

Regarding Vincent, I know you're big on nutrition so may want to look into contacting this guy:

He's a genius and does free skype sessions regarding thses things. I know someone who overcame Autism through speaking to him.

Video is awesome,

I think you would love to know about "operant conditioning". It is a specific behavior that all living beings on the planet do that explains almost everything you say and why many men can not achieve success. Its a little hard to understand at first, but once you get it, you start to see the world and people with different eyes, and you start to understand why people do what they do.

I sincerely wish all the best to Vicent.

 Tyler!

This is an excellent video and have taken away some awesome stuff, especially in the 2nd half. I have been getting soooo many chicks outside the club with me isolated recently, I now realise I was far to results orientated when it came to getting them from the club to mine. I know that a few actually wanted to come back, was it my eagerness that made them change their minds last minute?

I have fucked up so many chances it is ridiculous, and even done the exact same thing as your buddy Andy a couple months back. Girl asked me to come back to hers, but it were 30mins out of town, so I went home with my buddies even though I have been working for moments like that for the last 7 months.

Also, maybe this is the meditation kicking in. But you seem so present on my screen it's like your a little man talking to me in real life, I had to touch the screen to assert you were 2D. hahahaha

Peace!

This is dangrous. You're putting your child AND the larger community at risk by not vaccinating them.

The science is clear: there is zero, NADA link between autism and vaccines. Stop spreading bullshit like this.

Who's paying for the science? Maybe the people who do the studies have a vested interest in finding the vaccines safe?

Thanks for the props on the vid!

Would appreciate it if this wasn't turned into a vaccination thread, but I wanted to mention it because I always keep everyone appraised of what's up in my life.  This has been going on for a few years now but just thought I'd mention it at this time -- and yeah, I'm aware of EVERYTHING.  You can see vids of Vincent online and he obviously has alot going for him -- he's still that same handsome and charismatic kid.

Anyway ya I think this was content wise one of my best vids, but there was a lot going on in the delivery cause there's so many ideas being thrown around, so I'll try to keep formatting them into clearer and more cohesive vids!  Glad people enjoyed it!

I have a good question on this topic. When I'm focusing on making the girl have fun with me about half the time I turn into a clown or an entertainer guy. I also tell myself that I'm not going to do anything sexual with this girl to eliminate attachment type thoughts. My guess is that maybe I'm getting too attached to making her have fun, and I should probably shift it back on to me having fun? Its a weird thing to describe you probably know what this is.

I have a few comments about this:

1st: I gonna try it out for a month, with renewed focus on just the process. I'm gonna judge myself like you make your students judge you. For a month I will totally forget that results even exist.

2nd: I cannot believe you got laid with that chick. Like, everything you say sounds like "I have nothing to say, I'm just gonna blurt out something so she stays 5 seconds longer"
"...Yea" "you're cute!" "You wanna go for food?" etc

And she is eating it up. How is that possible. Like in 95% of the time in the videos you post your verbals are fully generic (with exception of a recent video where you call a chick ?pancake-ass?).

Maby that's deliberate so you show that verbals don't matter shit? But how can you keep an going for hours on "Please save me, I dunno what to say" generic stuff.
I guess you feel good regardless?? God knows the amount of times I go like *SNAP* *Dammit I just hit the end of the road I have no idea what to say* and crack something like "Yea" "You're cute!" or "You wanna go for food?" - and she just finishes me off and all the persistance in the world cannot save me.

We do the same shit, it's gotta be in the way we do it that differs. I think you just fucking feel good - and I feel more like struggeling.

It's like lifting weights in the gym.

Constantly looking around comparing yourself to others, wondering when you'll finally be big / fit / ripped is shooting yourself in the foot. Focus on the lift at hand, form, muscle contraction aka proccess!

You'll be fit and ripped a lot faster and enjoy working out more.

I wanna see a video of Tyler's most extreme, hardcore blow offs and rejections. It would probably be good for people to see that cause I think a lot of people have the tendecy to think that guys that are good at pickup never have to deal with negative emotions and that life is just super easy for them.

With me it's different, I'd be whyning and bitching at mile 2-4 then my brain would give it up later.

I always sit down to meditate or start my workout sessions with 99% conviction (that's pretty high), then after a couple of minutes it fades away and my brain keeps telling me to stop.

It was funny how in the middle of a calm meditation session I started yelling at myself "NO HOPE YOU BITCH I'M GONNA MEDITATE FOREVER".

And slowly my brain got used to the idea, but still didn't believe it 100%, maybe 60%. I guess "tricking your brain" is a muscle too haha.

Yesterday I just rewatched the last 2 hours of the blueprint, love how this content and the content in the blueprints last video's complement each other, takes things to whole new levels.

The thing I realised is that it's actually prety simple if you get it, if you stop validating yourself, let go of trying to control everything and be present and positive

It's not what you say, it's where it's coming from internally. Tyler does not "need it to work" and so he is SUBCOMMUNICATING the right things. The words don't mean jack shit... change your focus

"2nd: I cannot believe you got laid with that chick. Like, everything you say sounds like "I have nothing to say, I'm just gonna blurt out something so she stays 5 seconds longer"
"...Yea" "you're cute!" "You wanna go for food?" etc

Tyler-- a bit of "feedback" for you~

As somebody who has been watching your vids for years, I'd like to point out that, at least in my eyes, there's a massive mixed message you're sharing here:

-Go after your goal with a SINGLE MINDED FOCUS/Play to WIN

and

-Don't be Outcome Dependent

Now, I realize that you have always said both.

But, you tend to hammer each one in to people's minds pretty hard, and mostly, it's Playing to win/focus on the goal, much more than reminding us to not be outcome dependent.

I'm sure you're aware that you are a HUGE condiditoning force on this community, so please consider how confusing it can be for your audience to hear to be SUPER-MOTIVATED-FOCUSED, and to CHILL-LET GO- ENJOY THE PROCESS at the same time. Taking each of these notions in has caused me their own forms of stress and anxiety as I try to integrate them, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Perhaps you could eplain how you prioritize these two polarities, or better yet, lay out exactly what the integration of these two principles looks & feels like????

Tyler this is one of the best videos I ever seen!!!

Sometimes you have this strange ability to release video just on the topic I need.
Video you put last time was great, this resonate with me even more.

To smove dilema:

"-Go after your goal with a SINGLE MINDED FOCUS/Play to WIN

and

-Don't be Outcome Dependent"

Find middle point. I feel like the first aproach works great for the guys who lacks intent. The one who are close but doesn't have this last puch to take the action and dominate. It's great video when you feel lazy or relaxed too much.

Second video is great for the state I am in. Overly motivated, overly goal orientated - and I am not taking about seduction, because it applies to life in general.

I work in sales, recently I have some bad luck and my results goes down. It gets me in Very goal orientated mood. To the point that I need the RESULTS KNOW. The thing is that in my kind of sales process really takes time and is based on deep relationship with clients. I trying to ruch, move forwad too fast, I've lost pleasure in little things in talking to people. Only results counts. That aproach makes me actually weaker.    I don't have pleasure from my work anymore.

What Tyler says in this video really hits me. This is what I need - while still focus on results I need to again find pleasure in proccess because otherwise everyday in work will be painfull.

The same applies to seduction!! If you are pushing for results, and only results, you may lost fun in what you do. Ultimately you will be less successfull.

The great thing is mixing it with Eckard Tolle. Surrender to the process. There is no past, no future only now. I already use it when training. Even if it hard (MMA) i Just surrender like it will be last forever. It makes you very mentally strong!!

In my opinion today post and the last one are what life is all about. Loving the process + having an intent!!

I like Mastery as well. I think you get the point with this one. Love the process (this video) but push the edge (last video).
If you are trying to get results to fast and you don't have the process to get back to, you are in bad situation - you will become obsessive.

Hey Tyler,

I love what George Leonard says in his book Mastery, "Learn to enjoy the plateau but also play the edge." A lot of guys don't push themselves and don't approach and say I'm enjoying the process instead of playing the edge, getting "rejected" and still being process oriented. Thanks for the video post. Valuable.

I hope everything  works out with your son bro.

Yeah I think Mastery captures the concepts of what  Tyler is talking about and a MUST read for every PUA for pickup and life. I just read it again and going to read it another time to really ingrain the concepts into my conscience.

The part about :surrender to activity like there is nothing else:.

So fucking strong, so fucking on the point, so fucking life changing.

I was feeling mentally weak and strugle in the past two days. I have some troubles in my work. Still i go to the GYM, I feel like a shit but I fight (MMA). I knew thanks to this page that as shity as it feels right now it will make me stronger.
So I already know it to some degree, but this video is just ground breaking for me. No matter what happen, you can try to enjoy your life or accept it or you can make every second of it miserable, when the only thing is results vs. unhappiness.

Mastery is great, and it's very similar to what Tyler teach. What is new in this video - mindset that there is no future, no past just now so better enjoy this.
I am going to re-read Mastery once again as it is great book.

Now this is quality teaching! the last minutes of the video, "10 hours earlier..." are for opening the notebook and take notes like crazy.

There is also other issue. How to deal with pain. And with pain I mean boredom, tiredness etc.

If you are process orientated, while you training and doing something hard you also will feel this "pain" sometimes as it's just signal that your body is overcoming limitations.
But you will be much more eager to accept it as pleasure taken from process and from realization that you are growing and will be even stronger!!
With reults orientation, if lack of results you will very often feel only pain withough pleasure. It means you will burn out much faster and then just stops.
