Tyler's Blog

Tyler

Hey there, happy Thanks Giving!

I hope you're having a GREAT MEAL with your loved ones and enjoying the day -- whether you're celebrating in the USA or just happen to be enjoying your life anywhere in the world.

So it's been a wild week, I've had about 8 hours sleep over 4 days!

I was called out of the blue to run a business event for Bisnow (big real estate magazine) so wound up running the INSANE Los Angeles Bootcamp (imagine CARNAGE throughout Hollywood) until 6AM Sunday morning, then immediately hopped flight to Washington DC to run the event!

I'm always looking to maximize sleep, but it's great that I've cultivated the ability to crush it on zero sleep over the past few years, cause I was practically passing out during this thing LOL.

(I'm going to post a video of it this coming week!)

I STILL managed to get a few video blogs done up in DC, which was really satisfying to prove to myself I could do it in my broken condition, although I look like I've smoked a big rock of crack. :)

It's actually CRAZY to see my face puffed out and eyes swollen, still "in the flow" as far as ripping out content off the cuff.  My brain is evolving, and it just gets easier and easier like GAME!

Anyway the next few weeks I'll be doing "Date With Destiny" in Palm Springs with Anthony Robbins (attending as a student!) and then off to Vegas and Orlando for programs!

My schedule for the coming few months is as follows!

December 7, 2012: Las Vegas
December 20, 2012: Orlando
January 3, 2013: Los Angeles
January 17, 2013: Dallas
February 7, 2013: Aspen, Colorado
February 14, 2013: New Orleans Mardis Gras
February 21, 2013: Miami Model Season

www.rsdfreetour.com / www.rsdhotseat.com / www.rsdbootcamp.com

I have a 3 person team that handles ALL of your questions about RSD events -- Stuart, Huey, and David -- all guys in their 20's who are highly active in the game and pimp it with instructors personally, call them any time to talk game or ask any questions you want!

NORTH AMERICA (Toll Free): +1 (888) 546 7286
EUROPE: +44 (0) 2079 934 034
AUSTRALIA: +61 280 155 522
ASIA: +81345789305

Lastly, Julien and I are going to be running "5 Day Alumni-Only Bootcamps" in New Orleans for Mardis Gras, and Miami South Beach during the infamous "Model Season" this Spring. So if you're considering attending then start looking into it now!

www.modelseasonbootcamp.com

We're looking for volunteer hosts in Aspen and New Orleans so feel free to hit up the team and let them know if you can help!

<>======================<>

So Brad was cool to take my day yesterday, which allowed me to quickly edit and upload this last night when I got home!

The video is on the topic of "group think" and it contains some of the most important ideas I've ever come across, check it out!

CLICK THIS VIDEO NOW TO BE WHISKED AWAY TO THE WHITEHOUSE WHERE TYLER GOES OFF ON WHAT THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION REVEALED ABOUT "GROUP THINK"!

I hope this gave you something to think about, and the idea of "group think" is something you can benefit from considering for many years.

Your grasp of this will increase over time, like an onion being pelled back to the core. :)

<>=========<>

btw thanks to everyone who applied for the "instructor assistant" position -- I had literally HUNDREDS of applications!

I'm most likely to hire based out of Los Angeles as I'm not sure about people moving here to assist me, but I have a few people who I've kept in touch with that I may interview further.

I'll likely pass along all the applications to my team for future use, and they may give some of you a call!

Again thanks for much for this, honestly (no joking at all) it was incredibly flattering to see the response on this, like I really can't express what a head trip it was.  Appreciated!

For the guys I'm in the middle of interviewing you'll hear back from me soon!

Lastly -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that if you applied with me and didn't hear back, hit up...

julien@realsocialdynamics.com
jlaix@realsocialdynamics.com
brad@realsocialdynamics.com
alexander@realsocialdynamics.com
todd@realsocialdynamics.com
ozzie@realsocialdynamics.com

...if you'd like to apply for the position with any of them!

<>======================<>

Anyway I've got to run off to the gym before it closes for reduced holiday hours!

Please hit me up with any ideas you have on the idea of group think, or even the presidential election.

KEEP COMMENTS ON THE TOPIC OF 1) PLATITUDES, 2) LIMITED CONSCIOUSNESS, AND 3) "GROUP THINK" -- DON'T GET INTO YOUR PERSONAL POLITICAL VIEWS, AS NOBODY IS REMOTELY INTERESTED IN READING THEM ON A PICKUP FORUM, THANKS!

(Any moderators reading this please delete any politically charged comments, thanks!)

But yeah, I loved this topic as far as "platitudes" and "limited consciousness" as seen in something as huge as the elections, and hope you enjoyed the idea!

Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your day!  I'll talk to you soon! :)

"Is good in the other side" and the sun comes out... wtf?

I like the idea that we tend to get into group think when we minimize time and effort, As well as  when we don't think.

What interest me is how getting out of group think can also help you become fearless Since you don't care what people think.   When fear is potent you can see group think taking place.  In the elections both candidates were afraid of losing - so they didin't do fearless acts instead because of their fears they stuck to group think in order to appeal instead of talking about things that matter.

In many situations, It is not that people don't want to get out of group think it is that people fear what could happen if they did. What could happend if they dare find shit out for themselves. And the embarrasment that could be attach to the act.

A vblog about fearlessness from Tyler would be awesome since I hear people say he is the most fearless person they know.

That being said - It is impossible to get completely away from group think,  as Tyler  mentions Jeffy not being in group think, what came to mind is him doing the gangan style dance in two of his last 3 videos. haha. Don't blame him that shit is funny...

Men In Black used to say that many people together for some reason become dumb, and single people out of the population are smart. Therefore, they could not tell people that there were aliens living among them. If you tell only for one person, he would understand.

The major difference between someone who wraps thier identity around thier job, money and nice shit and people who don't is that if they lost it they lose everything. Hence people commiting suicide in 08 from the crash. Its a false reality and the satisfaction lacks depth because your recieving validation from external sources.

Great topic, good delivery. Thanks for the video!

How do you think unplugging from group think affects your presence? Using one's mind to prevent the automatic following of group think/ avoiding surrendrance to the situation (going with the flow) can put you in your head. Eg, saying no to alcohol at a party requires you to snap out of the social flow and use your mind and decide against it which can leave you stuck in your head.
On the flip side being unplugged from group think can pump your state because you're like Neo seeing the Matrix. .

Btw, have you hired an instructor assistant? Would appreciate an update on that.

I liked the thought about women skipping the evaluation of a guy thanks to group think.

And how I still do that myself with people all the time allthough I consider myself pretty evolved.

Coolest quote I heard in a while is from STEPHEN COVEY:
"Awareness builds its own momentum"

Yout touched on that as well.

Nice!

The more I read and get unplugged from groupthink, the more I appreciate and value all you're doing... all these videos... events... everything.

It's an interesting relationship. The less group-think, the more appreciation for authentic value.

I like it how you explicitly stimulate us to react to this topic. Over the years I’ve partially unplugged myself from group thinking.

In your videos you come off as quite polarizing and seem to be kind of negative towards “groupthink”. As I am huge fan of your work (read: have become sensitive towards your statements) I started to unconsciously label groupthink as negative.

This had a negative side effect for me; I started to see things very black and white.

“Groupthink of Society” (negative) vs. “Esoteric RSD concepts” (positive)

Lately, I started to slowly accept it doesn’t have to be one or the other; there is also a “GRAY AREA” like you just mentioned in this video.

That “GRAY AREA” is actually me finally starting to think critically for myself, instead of relying on “massive groupthink” or “smaller esoteric RSD groupthink”.

IMO in the “GRAY AREA” the critical thinking of an individual is done.

Though, I understand you have to be polarizing and can’t really be in the gray area to wake up “the sheeps” ;)

"Same thing with love, right. You know you have a needy crush on a girl, really, you're just not a fulfilled person. You think that you love the girl, because you created the self-hypnosis by thinking you're in love to rationalize your own neediness" - Tyler redefines the whole concept of love.

interesting topic. although i don’t think anyone eating cheetos is under any delusion that its
good for you or that they wouldn't be better off eating a cucumber. So, with food anyway, i think its less about group think and more about plain old physical addiction as I believe its been said that salt, sugar and fat combo promote the production of dopamine and other pleasure brain chemicals. although im no scientist and only play one on the internet. haha.

in regards to that david patraeus aside, i remember back when Tiger Woods went through the media circuit for pimping and you made a video talking about how ridiculous it was... i see its the same thing happening all over again.

the general, the supreme allied commander of Iraq / Afghanistan grooms himself his entire life to be the best leader he can be, to adhere to every high moral standard i've never heard of, to fucking own it day in and day out. he must have been working 20+ hour days for weeks on end while being deployed oversea's in the last decade alone, felt ultimately responsible for the lives of thousands, and i bet he FELT GUILTY  for LEAVING HIS FAT UGLY wife at home all that time. he probably came home and had to handle his kids, and his family, and yah i bet his wife bitched at him for not being there a lot. this fucking legend works harder than hank rearden for all these bitches 1,000x harder than they can comprehend, probably believing he shouldnt even WANT anything in return besides the satisfaction of perfection, and he realizes something is missing.

he doesnt even lay off his killer instinct of owning everything to find the missing piece he just dives harder into being a badass as he gets promoted to chief master king lord of the C.I.A. and because he is such a badass motherfucker who does nothing but own it, this sexy 40 year lady decides to WRITE A BOOK ABOUT HOW AWESOME HE IS. for the first time in as long as he cares to remember a hawt bitch is genuinely interested in him, and ACTUALLY WANTS HIS DICK BECAUSE HE IS THE MOTHERFUCKING SHIT. so instead of fucking his old fat ball-and-chain who never worked a day in her life and takes it for granted that she is the queen and ruler over david patraeus the good sir from narnia, the man who has done it all right since day one, who lived and breathed death and war for decades in the name of his nation, THE UNIVERSE IS LIKE "fuck yah david patraeus you the mothafucking bomb nigga, here is a horny ass bitch for you" so when he finally took what was his, what does everyone do?

"WAAAAAHHHHHTTTT YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE HOW COULD YOU DO THAT WHAT THE FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKING SHIT CUNT YOU BETRAYED US ALL YOU LET EVERYONE DOWN OMG OMG OMGOMG IZZZZZZZZ WRRRRRROOONNNNGGGG!!!! DOES ANYONE HERE REALLY BEEN SO FAR AS TO DO THAT EVEN GO WANT TO USE MORAL PIECE OF SHIT HORRIBLE ROLEMODEL EVEN HOW LOOK MORE LIKE FAGGOT??!?!?! FUCK YOU GENERAL!"

the fact that he fucked her made me like him even more. he was born to fucking own it, he never walked off his path. he had it in him since before he graduated high school and he rode his wave of slaying all the way to that hot biographers pussy.  fuck yes, general have some more bitches homey you can take 'em all i dont even wanna do nothing but be impressed by you. GENERALS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE HOT BITCHES. why is the country so fucked up? because when you make it to the pinnacle of achievement, you get stuck having to bet some old hag half your shit that you wont get caught cheating on her nasty ass like what the fuck...

"NO ITZZ WRONG!"

lol i did a rant

edit: tyler ive a video suggestion for you about how when we're first starting out fame, flaunting wealth, and the bright lights seems really appealing but then as you go further along you tend to intentionally shy away from those things because they are actually not interesting anymore. it would be cool to see your personal take on that while relating it to what comes to your mind, and of course relating to pick up :) thanks for the great vid!

The American political system is based on the original founding philosophies of puritan white folks and christian evangelicals. Despite our progress, group think still controls this area today in politics. Look at John Edwards. Clinton, JFK. What's wrong with a power man getting some?

This type of groupthink is the same reason people hate on Hugh Hefner. The difference being, Hefner's public image at least was modestly honest and since he didn't "pull one over the group's eyes" he's allowed to live in peace, relatively.

Wow!  Awesome video Tyler and what really blows my mind are all the responses and comments. Everyone charing and contributing to our little group think group.. ;)

Like for me,  the unplugging from group think thing has been, and still is, a journey that has taken me from a very dark place to a much much brighter. I definitely see the benefits from walking your own path but at the same time respect other people who choses differently and making it work for me as opposed to against.

Awesome Bootcamp in L.A. by the way Tyler. Like you said,  INSANE. Thanks for helping me GET LAID! And unplugging from group think...

First time i heard about group think was watching blueprint. You covered it so well it surprises me to be learning even more about it and myself. The ability to take group think and use it in ways it will benifit you and also cast away group think in ways it wont is genius. A higher awareness of it.

First off, I would like to say that the speech format for this video was virtually flawless. There is a lot to be learned here, not only from the content.

Forcing myself out of group think over the past year has completely changed my life. I feel like I am living for myself and truly getting the most out of life.
On the other hand, I struggle with seeing others in group think and following along as sheep.
The way this effects me most is in my career field - I'm in the military, enough said; my location - I live in Turkey (a predominantly Muslim country) that is SO far into group think that I feel as though I'm climbing an up-hill battle (good thing I like climbing) ie. people who don't dress conservatively may get spit on, they don't do PDA for fear of what others will think, and a Turkish friend told me that during the winter her curfew is changed to 9pm because it gets darker sooner in the winter (she is 24 years old) and that "people have sex at night"; finally, I will be going to school full time soon to become a Physical Therapist which is something that I believe is my calling - The struggle here is that I don't have much faith in the education system. I believe that it is mostly designed to tax and stress you to ensure you have the capacity to handle a large workload as opposed to actually feeding you the most amount of knowledge.
I also think that socially, most of us can relate with Graham28292 about the drinking issue. Drinking is a social crutch but it's one of the only handicaps you get scrutinized for NOT having.

Thanks for your thoughts as always, Tyler. Especially for pointing out how some forms of group think are necessary.

Tyler you've mentioned the election a couple of times but never touched upon Ron Paul, who lost the rebublican nomination against Romney. If you haven't heard of him I'd be surprised.

He said what had to be said ie. the truth about the economy, endless wars etc, but the establishment didn't like that ofc, and did all in their power not to let him get the nomination. He's the mfucking embodiment of getting out of political group think and woke alot of people up to the corrupt political system, giving people the illusion of choice. Presidents are not elected, they're Selected.

Fucking great to be pulled out of the group think.

I guess one of the pitfalls with group think is that again and again you see alpha males in your peer group who pulls gorgeous girls fully buying into different things in the group think.. Like loving alcohol, loving football, loving meat, hating vegetables, playing video games all day long, watching tv series.. etc, etc. etc. And they look fucking successful, pimp and happy.. It seems like they are able to pick what they like from group think and use their strong frame to make it awesome and it pulls you in. And it makes it hard to break out, when you're around them.. However, when you know these people for years you do begin to notice how they normally don't develop much as persons.. how they get stuck in beliefs which are hard for them to shake out of.. and how they begin to look to you for answers, when they see that you are advancing and evolving. Anyways.. always cool posts, completely packed with value

Good video on group think. I don't know if you've looked into Cognitive Dissonance, you probably have. It's natural for people to have confirmation bias where they selectively look for information that reaffirms pre-existing beliefs, which also means they filter out opposing information that is incongruent with their beliefs. Probably the reason group think gets so bad.

Pretty interesting topic which explains our biases.

The funny thing with unplugging from groupthink is that doing so is so unconventional by nature. So ya gotta trust it even though the process can seem like a blind dark alley at times.

Almost every time I watch one of your videos I have a personal breakthrough and end up making notes and writing for hours.

My personal goup think is:
If some one tells me some girl is easy or if she seems so because of general goup think; that is if she behaves in what society would call a slutty behaviour I would be more then eager to approach her and talk with her.
On the other side if she is in a situation where I percieve that a lot of energy has to be spent to fuck her (for example: she is with some dudes - society says dudes are going to kick my ass if I approach her. NEver happedn to me but that is what society says. So an attempt to fuck her is percieved as too costly) i probablly will not approach her.

awesome awesome video. it put a lot of things i knew but couldnt dictate into words. i went to jail for a bit of time and in jail, you have a lot of people who are unplugged from groupthink. i decided that i wanted to go the opposite route after i got out and be the best person, in the group think context, i can be. school, gym, polite hobbies, money hungry etc. and it worked. but as im going along, i see a lot of shams and i feel like a wolf in sheeps clothing. its a really great feeling.

once again awesome video. this shit is gold. if you gave me the choice between a diamond, a bar of gold, or the knowledge of RSD ingrained in my mind? id pick the knowledge.
