Tyler's Blog

Tyler

Hey there!

Uploaded a lot of new video content so took a while, but just finished up and I'm ready to post!  I shot 4 new videos while in the Napali Coast of Kauai with Julien, and will release 3 of them TODAY.

Including the long awaited "Meditation" video that I've been long promising.

Then on Friday I'm off to the Real Social Dynamics WORLD SUMMIT in Las Vegas, which will be the movie "The Hangover" played out in life, but significantly more extreme.

August 19 - 25 -- World Summit, Las Vegas!

www.rsdworldsummit.com

If you haven't signed up yet, consider doing this event.  It's something that will not only be the most fun you will have the entire year (pretty much EVERYONE who goes agrees that there is no more fun to be had than Summit) but also a learning event that will pile drive you towards your goals all year long.

Again I really want to emphasize how FUN this event is, like the WILDEST week of your entire life.  And the learning you gain from it is PRICELESS.  Do it.

I've also got the rest of my Free Tour, Hot Seat, and Bootcamp dates lined up for the rest of 2012.

September 6, 2012: Los Angeles.
September 20, 2012: Chicago
October 4, 2012: New York City
October 18, 2012: San Diego
November 1, 2012: San Francisco
November 15, 2012: Albuquerque (first time in New Mexico!)
December 7, 2012: Las Vegas
December 13, 2012: San Francisco
December 20, 2012: Orlando

www.rsdfreetour.com / www.rsdhotseat.com / www.rsdbootcamp.com

I ought to mention this more on the frontpage, but we have a 3 person team that handles ALL of your questions about RSD events -- Stuart, Huey, and David -- all guys in their 20's who are highly active in the game and pimp it with instructors personally, call them any time to talk game or ask any questions you want!

NORTH AMERICA (Toll Free): +1 (888) 546 7286
EUROPE: +44 (0) 2079 934 034
AUSTRALIA: +61 280 155 522
ASIA: +81345789305

I also really want to emphasize that while I'll always be involved in RSD, it won't always be the case that I'm available to run programs like this.

THIS SHOULD BE EXTREMELY OBVIOUS TO YOU. What you've been seeing here has been a wild "phase" of my life but I also have a lot to do. The other instructors are so damned good at what they do so it's all good, but if you want to learn from me personally BOOK IT NOW.

Anyway let's get into today's vids!

<>================================<>

So I'm back in Los Angeles after a week long trip into the Napali Coast.

Some people will take boats into this thing, but for those who are a little more daring, you can do an 11 mile hike along the sides of trecherous cliffs and through backbreaking switchbacks of valleys that go up and down.

LOVE IT.

Then we camp out there for a week and enjoy the area, which is IME the most beautiful in the world.

I've been doing this every summer since 2006 and always thought it would be mad cool to bring out the video cameras.  The packs are brutally heavy on the steep parts of the trail so for a long time I resisted it, but last year my buddy Aron brought out a camera and we shot a video which people absolutely loved.

So this year Julien recommended we bring out our own cam and (as Aron would say...) "shoot the shit out of it". :)

I think it was Jeff or someone who was saying it would be crazy to do a video blog on the side of the cliff, so I did a few of them and put it together as like a "full journey video blog".  I actually talk WHILE walking along a cliff where I'd plunge to my death if I missed a step, but I figured it was worth it to get a "cool looking shot" LOL.

I'm always trying to do something different with these, so you can let me know what you think.  I feel like the points I'm trying to make in the video really get HAMMERED on well by the fact I'm hiking and the environment -- you can also really tell I'm "in the zone" as far as pushing myself while I talk.

The video covers the topics of "Pushing through pain, earned breaks, focusing on what you want, and finishing what you start."  Have a look!

CLICK THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW TO WATCH TYLER ROAM AROUND THE NAPALI COAST AND RANT ON IMPORTANT TOPICS ABOUT SUCCESS

Fun stuff huh?

That pack had all the camping gear and a week's worth of food so murdered my back, but luckily my chiropractor is pretty bomb. :)  Just a few days back in Los Angeles and feeling good as new!

btw if you found this one interesting, pass it along to a friend.  It covers a lot more than pickup so they may gain value out of it.

<>==============<>

Next up is a video I shot on the topic of making decisions in the face of vagueness / ambiguity.

This is a really important topic to me personally, cause it's a part of my day to day LIFE.  The reason I'm constantly reading, talking to people, brainstorming, trying new things, etc, is NOBODY TELLS ME HOW TO DO MY JOB!!

Papa and I basically invented the BC industry out of nothing (although Mystery and Juggler had done small programs on occassion before Nick and I came along) so we always had to figure out how to grow this thing just by taking EDUCATED GUESSES.

This is a skillset of entrepreneurship that SHOCKS me when I see people lacking it.  Why the fuck don't people constantly read, constantly try new things, constantly educate themselves?

OR CONSTANTLY BE WILLING TO FAIL!!

Look here's the reality.

The game is fucking tough.  Hell yeah you'll be fucking cute girls within the first year, but the reality is that when you're not sitting behind a keyboard, and actually out there in the meatgrinder with your elbows in the mud, there's an endless array of little "fuck her or don't fuck her" decision points happening IN REAL TIME.

Guys will always try to say this isn't a case, and that getting laid is easy.  And again, IT IS.  But to play at OUR level the game is taken to a much higher level than that, which is what high paying clients want to see from us, and we always overdeliver by continually pushing ourselves to improve.

The big skillset that's helped me over the years?  Making split second decisions that aren't always clear.  And the better I've gotten at it, the more often I've gotten laid, and by hotter girls.

CLICK THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW TO LEARN ABOUT WHAT I MEAN!

I LOVE THE GAME.

It is fucking insane, being out there night after night, in the PIT OF INSANITY and pulling the hottest girls. Fucken crazy shit, like being in a movie of complete mayhem. The shit I pull off it NUTS and I often either win or fail with split second decisions that may or may not be the right move.

After years of doing it, you learn that there's moves that MAXIMIZE your ability to pull and fuck the girl, but that ultimately you can't ever fully be in control. You'll always have tons upon tons of fuckups and blowouts, and this is what makes the game FUN!

The day I have it mastered, I'M DONE!  Will never happen though, cause every layer of the onion you peel is just bringing you closer to the centre of an onion that has....NOTHING. :)

<>=================<>

Finally I'm happy to finally be posting up the long awaited "Meditation video" today -- which has been the most highly requested video topic I've had all year.

Basically the SINGLE HABIT that I had outside of going out a lot that gets me laid the most is this:  MEDITATION.

This improves my results around 5X to 10X -- to the point that when I slack on meditation, my results after a few weeks will crash so hard (compared to the epic results I typically get) that I get all confused and can't figure out why, until I remember "Oh yeah I forgot to meditate again.  Woops."

Now that probably sounds strange, but again the results I've had this year -- CRUSHED IT.

Like just PULL PULL PULL banging out everything in sight, REALLY hot women this past year too it's been really time consuming have sex this much and fucken insane.

So to go from that to.....pulling here and there?  LAME.

DO MEDITATION.  How many times do I have to tell people this?  I guess many people just LIKE wasting their time by going out 4 - 7 nights a week (16 - 28 hours a week spent on going out) to not gain the fullest possible benefits, since they're too dumb to do the 20 minute little habit a day.

Of course the fact this also makes you happier, smarter, sharper, wittier, HEALTHIER and RARELY SICK, etc, should be reason enough I think.  BUT NO, all this PLUS the ENDLESS SEX WITH HOT GIRLS is still not enough to get guys doing it.

So I figured....why not make a video to encourage people?  Since maybe all that plus a cool looking video might put people over the top to implement this god damned habit. ;)

Enjoy the vid.

CLICK THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW TO LEARN THE ONE OTHER THING I DO THAN GOING OUT ALL THE TIME THAT GETS ME LAID CONSTANTLY BY EXTREMELY HOT WOMEN, TO THE POINT I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON SEX AND NEED TO STOP

btw this video was a tough one to shoot.

Partway through the camera filled up as the hard drive was loaded with important files, so I had to keep checking it out of the corner of my eye to see if it had shut off.

Then I had BUGS crawling on me while I did the meditation, but you can't see this in the vid, so had to concentrate a lot LOL.

There's a lot I'd do to improve the video, but overall it works as a first draft and I hope I've got you intrigued.

DO IT!

Start now.

<>================<>

Okay that's it for me today, I'm getting ready for World Summit and crashing out!

I hope you enjoyed the videos and I'll have one FINAL video from the Napali Coast next week with Julien and I talking about WINGMANSHIP!

Of course I ideally you'll be watching this from the RSD World Summit while having the time of your life.

www.rsdworldsummit.com

And to everyone who isn't going to be at Summit, well sucks to be you, but I'll be sure to bangit out for you and pour some Ol' E in your honor (or something...). :)

(Seriously though, if you can't make it this year, plan DEAD SET to be in Vegas with us next year.  The crew WANTS you to come attend!  WOLFPACK!)

PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE 3 VIDEOS -- PUSHING THROUGH PAIN FOR SUCCESS, BEING DECISIVE IN UNCLEAR SITUATIONS, AND MEDITATION!!

I'll get back to you on comments as I've been doing and appreciate them a lot!

Thank you for reading this, and have an amazing week!  I'll talk to you soon!

 AWESOME VIDEOS!

I would say the second video kind of works more for pick-up, but when it comes to business, some quick decisions can cost a lot of money! So, I wasn't able to resonate with the second video when it comes to businesses.

I'm 21 and I do pretty much alot of stuff  you guys show here, like eat healthy foods, no alcohool, meditate, go out alot, not complain about life simply because I have no reason etc.

Of course I'm not on the same level as you, but sometimes I wonder how would be like back in the school if you started doing all these at yours 21. Fun huh?

Cool vids.
Key points:
1. Hustle, Hustle, Hustle. Unlock your 2nd, 3rd, 4th... 999th reserve tank.
2. Meditation 101: Don't try to stop thinking, just shift your awareness on your breathing.

Love the metaphor of having to 'fall off' to be able to see why you must meditate and have green vegetable juce in the first place. Whenever I get complacent, I get Negative thought loops, unable to hold basic eye contact - might aswell put a gun to my head and shoot.

Why is there 300 page books on being present, when it's basically just shutting off that mental chatter for 20 minutes to strengthen your will power.

Awesome vids. I can't believe you guys still deliver topnotch vids for free :D .

Normally I would want to leave when I numberclose a chick, but now I'm going to change my gameplan.
Learning lesson for me next time: number close a girl solid and game the whole club (like the dirty little that I Am)

The meditation vid is pretty good and should be a tutorial for everybody on the internet who wants to try out meditation not only rsd fanboys.

thanks for the tips,

One love

Absolutely ASTOUNDING.
Thanks Owen :)

I especially loved watching you meditate cos I was shocked by how present it made me feel. Seriously. I knew presence was infectious but I really didn't know it was to this extent!
I'd definitely love for you to meditate into the camera again, but for even longer (10 mins or more) for the next time you do a meditation vblog. And the ocean in the end was brilliant btw. So beautiful.

Also, just wanted to mention that even though I don't have a phobia of heights, and am generally quite an adventurous guy, it fuckin TERRIFIES me to watch you walk on that narrow cliff edge. Lol. It even really scared me to just read this:
I actually talk WHILE walking along a cliff where I'd plunge to my death if I missed a step, but I figured it was worth it to get a "cool looking shot"

Logically, I actually think I'd be able to manage walking along the cliff because the reality of the situation would FORCE me to stay present. But when I imagine it from the comfort of my desk right now, I get these images immediately FLOODING my mind of walking along the cliff and being overwhelmed with fear, and therefore losing focus and falling to my death lol.

Cant wait for the meditation video am downloading now.

Regarding ditching one girl for the one who flaked you and ending up with nothing though, I thought you deserved that haha. Greedy like the dog with a bone fable. Plus when a you cancel a date with one girl to see a better one isn't that coming from a position of chasing the prize rather than being the prize?

I mean I would have thought you'd have just as much, if not more chance if you'd have held your frame and said you were busy as you were???

Plus, it builds integrity and karma. Like Todd's video of setting the precedent. I will be a man of my word and not  flake others as I hold myself to a higher principle and I don't need to chase any girl kind of mentality.

Although it may just be I am conservative and would have taken the easy lay, who knows! Anyway thought it was an interesting angle.

Is it bad that all I could think about during these videos was how much I miss Ambiguity from the forums?

But srsly, good shit on meditating, bro, and good shit on making decisions when the right answer isn't obvious. To make those kinds of decisions is so humbling; it reminds me how small I am that sometimes the right answer is impossible to know, but as a man, I have to do it anyway.

Tyler,

Your conceptualizations provide hookpoints for me to grasp concepts which I didn't even know existed before. It sounds strange but until a few months back I didn't even understand that there was a possibility to improve in life.

A few months back I viewed life more as a constant struggle to merely find the things I needed. Your videos made me actually realize that you can reach out to achieve what you want. For the last two weeks I've been on a total rampage to get what I want :) Love it!

Though I must say that it is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING RIDICULOUS how almost all the people I know are wasting their time away, it just seems pathetic. There are some friends living in my house watching their lives fly by in front of the TV or playing video games.

There is a girl living here as well whose whole self-image relies on her outside beauty and has NOTHING else going on for her. Almost everyone walking in the mall looks like they are going somewhere, but actually have no 'place' where they are going to. Afraid to confront reality AS IT IS in this exact moment, because they abandoned all hope, dreams and glory and mentally escape to the future or past experiences.

Tyler, just how can you cope with those people? I mean do you want to confince them, or just literally let them suffer in their own pity? Argh, never mind, but sometimes I just literally want to drag girlfriends away from their boyfriends when the CHODE can't  decide to eat fries or pizza.

If there are all likeminded guys like you on this website, I'm definitely going to consider to join the Inner Circle stuff!

Now that's out I'll finish my work for today...and then on towards my date for tonight ;)

Thank you Owen, your content is the best, more and more amazing !!

You said meditation simulates abundance, and that got me thinking: Maybe it is the other way around. Women do not want a player, but they want a man who can let go from the fears and insecurities of meeting a little sexy princess, i.e. a present man. However, most of the time, having four other women waiting for you to be f-pleased is the most effective way to sustain that attitude, plus those other girls gave you practice and useful tools.

Thanks again, priceless stuff for free.

I loved the medidation video, thank you Owen! I've been doing medidation for a few months, but with my eyes closed in a dark room. From now on I'll try with my eyes open.

What about de newbie website? I've been trying to go back to basics and cut shit from my game. That'd really help me, even if I'm at intermediate level.

Good stuff as always.

On pretty girl vs. really pretty girl, it got me thinking about how at times we mentally hype-up future events.
Like you said, when it works it can be an amazing feeling, but when it doesn't it hits like a ton of bricks.

This to me is a mental-momentum-gambil (MMG) and has the potential to cripple or skyrocket momentum.

I 100% agree however with the notion to make a decision and ride through the good and bad consequences as this will make you stronger.  Ruminating can be a definite sticking point/struggle of mine at times.

All good fun to think about ;)

I'm on with Villainous here, it'd be better 1 video for every post. I'm not saying I don't like these articles with 3 videos :), it's just what I prefer too.

Also Owen, I miss your long text article too. You could mix it up a litte.

I like all the new content. Absorb it at your own pace!

Just to comment on the meditation video. I think that what you said about it being more of a peaceful thing rather than a blissfull thing is true to the extent that on average it is something peacefull and restfull however some times after the meditation you can truely feel bliss. Iv literally cried because of the happieness I felt after  meditation.

It is important to meditate free of outcome, do not be attached to anything you could get.
Also there is a strong correlation between how awsome I am and how much I meditate.

i was always unsure how to do meditation but now i guess i know how to start with it. Thx Tyler!
this stuff also reminded me of the fact that I am a stimulation junkie myself. always listening to loud music, most of the time just not enjoying the moment....

AND doing it with open eyes is awesome! so its more realistic for the field...

the other 2 videos are bomb too. i think its one of the major ramifications of a huge amount of reference experiences: to be able to make quick decisions in the moment without thinking much!

Absolutely top notch stuff as always. Love the chilled out vibe and little personal habits shared Would love to see personal tips for self compliance in future content!

Also don't know if you know but Daniel Golemans destructive emotions talks about when they put a long time meditator in an MRI scanner and got Paul Ekman (foremost expert on facial expressions) to test him. It turned out the monk who was studied was the only person Ekman had discovered who did not have the 'startle response' and what's more he was the best at detecting the emotions of other people better than anyone Ekman had ever given the facial expression test too. Quite amazing.

Lastly, curious why you laughed after mentioning Russell Brand... Not a fan?

About the video on meditation, just a tip for you guys for shifting your awareness and not think: You can focus on any of your senses. The most common one is kinetically by follow your breathe (in your belly, chest, nose), or on just feeling and relaxing your body. But you can also just focus on your sight or focus on sounds. Being present in the moment for me is all about the perceiving.

I usually meditate with my eyes closed. If I get distracted by thoughts and visualizations that my mind automatically produce, I shift my focus on my sight, seeing the back of my eyeslids. Owen described this perfectly with his analogy of zooming in and out with the camera. I see the point of meditating with my eyes open, so gonna practize that from now.

Just one question Tyler, and not really about meditation. But seems like you do a lot of stuff during the day, and still finds time to go out and meditate. How many hours do you sleep on average?

 Really awesome Vids Tyler...

really enjoyed the meditation video.
(Do it exactly the same way. I guess because i also read Tolles books and love his stuff.)

I totally share your point of view on that topic.

You mentioned Russell Brand as an example of a guy who stopped using drugs and staretd to meditate. I saw many youtube videos of him and think, he is totally hilarious. On one hand he is very down to earth because he has experienced a lot in his life and on the other hands he seems to be a very spiritual guy.
He advocates the david lynch foundation and is practising TM. Does anyone have information about that stuff? I am pretty pleased withe the "Tolle approach on meditation" because i think that that being present to the moment and experiencing the "inner body" is what every guided meditation ultimately aims for. But i am really no expert on this and never really looked for other ways to meditate.
Has anyone knowlage about TranscendentalMeditation? Just curious. There is a critical movie on that topic called "David wants to Fly"... didnt see it, tough... I guess this is just spiritual woo woo stuff....

Related to this meditation piece, I help run a forum called Truth Strike Central.

A guy named Ciaran Healy, who used to work for RSD, found out that by recognizing one specific thing in reality (that your thoughts about a self refer to nothing) you can pretty much trigger a permanent, 24/7 meditative state.

Ciaran's gone, but his work is still solid. The forum I mentioned is dedicated to helping people trigger that recognition, but you can do it yourself by looking at the reality of that no-you thing.

Nice vids. But where was the beer n girls? lol j/K.   I finally get "focus on what you want.." Thats same thing as intent right?

Sir we all know your intent/ "what you want"  is  "having sex with girl" but more precisely what does that mean to you? Do you focus on the situation as it develops? Like for example if you're in a 2 set is your intent  to "engage the obstacle" then your intent is "isolate" or is it always " "have sex with girl" and nothing but "have sex with girl", "have sex with girl", "have sex with girl"........."  from beginning to "closing"??

Its unbelievable that we can cal up RSD and talk about "game"! I might do it sometime. Pretty cool. Peace!

Your an amazing dude Tyler, the content you put out is life changing stuff far beyond just picking up chicks, any chance you can do some vids on dealing with relationship insecurities/jelousy issues?

What I got from the meditation video was that your just calm when meditating, I thought you had to be euphoric in the present moment, also loved the plateaus analogy with game…

I liked that you said you made a choice to meditate every day no matter what! I think that It would be actually helpful to listen to more specific parts of your journey; long term and short term goals (like the decision to meditation every day)... I would love to hear them and they would probably inspire people (me) to take a similar path...

thanks for they great videos, they truly help : )

Thanks Tyler, a lot of high quality material coming out of RSD, love it.

In regards to the remark that meditation replicates an abundance mindset, hell yeah.
I've known about RSD for, going on about 6 years,I choded out, and procrastinated for a long time.

I've meditated solidly since about 2008, and while I didn't get all into the spirituality fluff, I ended up pissing my life away for years, purely from the feeling of abundance , that meditation was giving me.

Most days, a bomb could go off next to me, and at the worst it would amuse the fuck out of me.
I very rarely have a startle response to anything.

I recently read a post about holosync and lifeflow, and a poster mentioned that he had to stop doing it, because it was too good. Some guys couldn't understand why he'd give up something so effective for his state.
Personally, it fucks up your life, if you feel too good all the time, there's no incentive to take action on anything, except eating and breathing.

Put it with taking action, and holy fuck.

A lot of very key points in the video, thanks.

Thanks tyler Loving the videos -   The utilization of the title screen on the first video is on point, good stuff  - Now it is all about a little attention to the Title font to make the videos  stronger.
I would say to make the fonts a little smaller (equivalent to post headline for the video title  and the size of the video title-subcategories the same as the post content.)

The meditation video is amazing. just had a 20 minute session and it feels like I am high.. good stuff.

I'm not some mad spiritual enthusiast but i can honestly say ive had some fairly weird experiences
whilst meditating sometimes even a little freaky lol

Most of the time if i focus on my breath for long enough i will randomly start chuckling over nothing

One of the most intesnse experiences i had was once when i was driving i drawed most of my attention towards my breath then started brething really heavily in and out...after about ten mins my eyelids started vibrating aswell as my neck and hands was getting that intense i had to pull over and get out the car heaps whacked out!!

has anyone else had similar experiences?

I love you, you post this videos for free, I feel like it's unfair that you don't something in return from this free info. But I'm sure the universe will return it 10x in the future :), thank you dude

I really liked your pushing through pain for success video. Without knowing that success is on the other side, it is hard to push through the pain, e.g. on any given night when I'm pretty tired from approaching it's really hard to keep going. But knowing that success is past the pain is very motivational and makes taking action more common sense.

The being decisive in unclear situations is definitely something for me that is really challenging. I have very little confidence in "being a boss" and making decisions and managing emotions and not letting emotions affect me. So a really good video, but haha it points at some really weak points for me. So if you are thinking about doing another more extensive video on "how to be a boss" then I bet people would really get a lot out of it.

Meditation video was so epic, I loved how you put in the end of the waves the last few minutes. That's gotta be an epic video. That video helped me to change up my meditation a bit. So tonite I tried to just observe my breathing and let myself breathe rather than doing conscious breathing. That was really fun I thought. I also used a timer that I could see for the whole time, for the first time, just found one on the internet. I found that it was a lot less stressful to see how much time I had, b/c with my cell phone the screen turns black so I can't see the timer. Sweet! So I had some cool little new things to try that made a big difference.

Great stuff Owen, I've only been around a short while and have went through 3 pages or so of your previous video stuff. Seems like you are making leaps and bounds in your personal development, big inspiration. Nice to see a meditation video how to from someone who's a gangster too! ha ha....  Keep it rolling!
