Tyler's Blog

Tyler

Hey I've just gotten back into Los Angeles after the last few weeks in Hawaii -- both Oahu and an 11 mile hike along the cliffs of the Napali Coast of Kauai where we spent the week with no internet or phones!

I shot what I think are some of the best videos of my life over the trip and you'll be seeing them RIGHT NOW and next week as well.

Today's vids will be...
-Why game after being 10 years in?
-How rising above depression / social anxiety / negativity is like crawling out of a pit (compared to "Dark Knight Rises")
-Amping up the macromomentum to stay out of autopilot and fuel your adventurous self

Then next week will probably be (not sure yet)...
-Meditation vblog (around 40 minutes and answers all the questions from RSDN)
-Dealing with vague / ambigous situations
-A compilation of various lessons in the game
-Wingmanship (shot with Julien)

I've also got upcoming programs that are going to be absolutely insane.

The most obvious is the Real Social Dynamics World Summit which is coming up SOON in Las Vegas August 19 - 25.

This will be a week of non stop insanity with every instructor in the company in Las Vegas. If you attend this promises to be the most insane and educational week of your year -- don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this.

www.rsdworldsummit.com

I've had countless people who attended this break down in tears by the end in gratitude, the event is inexpensive and there's ways to keep down costs. I strongly urge you to say "Fuck it!" and get on the damned train, it's an experience you will benefit from for the rest of your life.

(You've got plenty of time to get "work done" -- this is something that will totally blow you away, and it's experiences like these that make life worth living. People go abslutely nuts for this event -- GET ON IT!)

Next up is my list of upcoming Free Tour, Hot Seat, and Bootcamps for the rest of 2012.

September 6, 2012: Los Angeles.
September 20, 2012: Chicago
October 4, 2012: New York City
October 18, 2012: San Diego
November 1, 2012: San Francisco
November 15, 2012: Albuquerque (first time in New Mexico!)
December 7, 2012: Las Vegas
December 13, 2012: San Francisco
December 20, 2012: Orlando

www.rsdfreetour.com / www.rsdhotseat.com / www.rsdbootcamp.com

I also ought to mention this more, but we have a 3 person team that handles all questions about our events -- Stuart, Huey, and David -- all guys in their 20's who are highly active in the game and pimp it with instructors personally, call them any time to talk game or ask any questions you want!

NORTH AMERICA (Toll Free): +1 (888) 546 7286
EUROPE: +44 (0) 2079 934 034
AUSTRALIA: +61 280 155 522
ASIA: +81345789305

I also really want to emphasize that while I'll always be involved in RSD, it won't always be the case that I'm available to run programs like this.

THIS SHOULD BE EXTREMELY OBVIOUS TO YOU. What you've been seeing here has been a wild "phase" of my life but I also have a lot to do.  The other instructors are so damned good at what they do so it's all good, but if you want to learn from me personally BOOK IT NOW.

Anyway let's get into today's vids!

<>=============================<>

So first video today is on why you'd stay in the game after 10 years.

It's funny to me that most guys who talk to me about it will do so as like a "heightened version" of what they'd personally want to get out of it.

Like "You must get MORE sex.... MORE social skills... MORE validation...."

Which of course is cool.  I like sex.  Then again I usually like sex best with a girl I love fucking and have been fucking for a little while, so it gets really good.

So if I already have GF's in most cities I visit, as well as a girlfriend and rotation in Los Angeles, why would I KEEP going out night after night to play the game?

Pretty weird huh?

Well the answer is right here...

CLICK THIS VIDEO TO LEARN ABOUT WHY I HAVE SO MUCH PASSION FOR THE GAME 10 YEARS DEEP...

Really enjoyed recording this one.

Julien's camera is pretty sick but doesn't have good audio, so we recorded the audio onto my regular camera which we pointed at me during the shot.

I liked the grafitti covered wall I was talking against, it reminded me of South America.

Anyway hopefully this gave you some context of what you might get out of continuing with this for a long period of time.  Personally I've had more fun every single year, and it's just gotten more and more sick.

Sometimes I bump into guys out from back in the day and they're SHOCKED that I still go out so often.  I bet they probably think my life has stalled out or something, but nothing could be further from the case.

LOVE IT!

<>===============<>

Next up is a video I shot on my old favourite body boarding beach from when I lived in Honolulu, Makapu Beach.

It's on the topic of how rising out from the haze of depression / social anxiety / negativity is like crawling out of a pit.  I was inspired to create it after watching "Dark Knight Rises" so if you've seen it you'll probably think it's really cool.

CLICK THIS VIDEO NOW TO SEE A VIDEO FOR HARDCASE NEWBIES CRAWLING OUT OF DEPRESSION...

It's a bit weird to get all emo on camera, but my view is "FUCK IT! SOUNDS LIKE A COOL EXPERIMENT, SO LET'S GET ON WITH IT!"

The way my brain works is "Decided to make an emo video cause it's new and different, DO IT!"  No questioning myself, I just GET IT DONE.  Load up the camera and let the fucken thing rip.

(Same way I do game btw... See the girl I'm intimidated by -- OH WELL -- go in and HIT HER UP!  No questioning myself or getting all second guessing myself.  DO IT!  Used the same skills to record this vid -- whatever I'm gonna do I just fucken GET ON WITH IT!)

I've been trying to just make the videos as DIFFERENT as possible -- new environments, new topics, new emotions, etc.  Try to match up the emotions with the environment and topic. With this one I took the orange shirt and balanced it with the blue ocean and then took a totally opposing topic of escaping from depression.

I liked matching this up with the enviornment and color scheme because it shows me having reached paradise (I actually lived here and surfed this beach a few times a week for 3 years...) having come from the pits of depression.  I could have easily made myself cry in it but figured it was cooler sort of "hinting" at it -- maybe in the future I'll do like a FULL MENTAL BREAKDOWN on camera so people can see how real it is the place that Icame from.

It's sometimes funny to me how people will analyze my shit and say "Well this seems a bit off about him..." and it's like NO SHIT DUMMY I came from some of the darkest shit you'd ever want to see (actually NEVER want to see...) and lived to survive the tale.

Anyway I just want to keep pushing the envelope and seeing what I'm capable of as far as the "video blog" medium.  I want to keep amping it up, challenging myself to experiment try new things.  Someday I'd love to take what I've learned and create a movie type video out of it, I have it all outlined in my head.

I was also really touched by the response on this btw, especially the people who planned to pass it onto a friend.  OTOH I realize that if you haven't been through something like this it would be really hard to relate to it, but hopefully it gave you some insight about what people you know may be going through, or maybe insight if you've been in this zone for even a small period of time in your life.

<>=================<>

Finally in this last video I take you on a FULL ON ROMP THROUGH HAWAII.

It was such a bitch to record this due to getting lost in the bush, but then I realized...... Why not include it in the vid?

Again, just wanting to try new things and make it different.

CLICK THIS VIDEO TO LEARN ABOUT MACRO MOMENTUM AND FUELING YOUR ADVENTUROUS SELF

The ending makes me look a lil crazy, walking along a cliff while looking into the video and shooting.  As I was doing it I thought "Man it would be dumb if I fell down while looking into a camera and not the path" -- but overall I'm not really afraid of that shit cause I have good "situational awareness" and do so much risky shit all the time.

This topic is also really personal to me -- I've watched so many of my best friends over the years become such pussy / losers and it's totally depressing to watch.  It sometimes feels like they're dead, or maybe partially in a coma.  Usually when it happens the relationship is done.

Personally I'm going to be a gangster with all this until the day that I die. I'm going out doing some sort of crazy shit -- gonna push the limits and it is what it is. :)

It's pretty crazy though how the human brain is wired to just do as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE and CONSERVE ENERGY as much as it can.

Yeah we'll live life to the fullest -- but when we get whatever money or resources or girls we need to scrape by, suddenly we just want to "chill".  Which is fun until it becomes a PERMANENT RUT and we're FUCKED! ;)

Use the general ideas in the vid, or at least your own version of them, and you should be good to go!

<>======================<>

Okay so I'm out of here and really hope you enjoyed these.  I put a lot into them and plan to keep putting out more for the next little while.

I'll see you back next week with the videos from the Napali Coast, which are really breath taking, and will be prepping my game to stunt in everyone's faces at World Summit.

Pimping ain't easy, but what can I say, I love sex and can't stop.  Plan to put it down hard in Vegas -- will be a MASSACRE.

HIT ME WITH COMMENTS / QUESTIONS ON THE TOPICS OF YOUR PASSION FOR THE GAME, CRAWLING OUT OF THE CAVE, AND KEEPING YOUR BRAIN IN IT'S "ADVENTUROUS SELF!!"

I want to know your experiences, connundrums, and what's on your mind!

See you soon, hit me back!  Thanks for reading and there's more to come!

Tyler

PS:
World Summit is coming up VERY SOON!  August 19 - 25 is approaching fast.

Honestly it's NOT that big of a deal to just COME DOWN and experience this.  You will learn soooo much and the experience is second to none.  This is the type of adventurous shit you will never forget, GET ON IT NOW!

I think in TDKR, he actually has to cut the rope so that he can REGAIN his fear of death.

The doctor says "You do not fear death, you think this makes you strong.  It makes you weak.  How can you move faster than possible, fight longer than possible, without the most powerful impulse... the fear of death?  Make the climb again... without the rope.  Then fear will find you again."

I enjoyed the video though.

Hi Tyler,

How do you reconcile keepnig the macro momentum with say getting a lot of success then getting a girl friend for a while and losing your momentum cuz you were enjoying that side of life.

Its funny how you think you'll get right back into pimping when you want to but you actually regress much further than you think in time spent not doing this and worse still, now with the ego of a guy whose supposedly already good with girls.

LOL yeah I should take more time to enjoy vacation, but like I mentioned in the video, it's a good feeling to have a lot of momentum with something.

To be honest I feel like a vacation must be earned and I've earned a few days break but not a full on week vacation yet. When I've accomplished what I want to accomplish I'll think about taking longer breaks!

The job is pretty fun regardless so the whole thing is a vacay.  I used to take long vacays it was fun but I feel like I've had as much relaxation and fun stuff as I ever wanted out of life, what I want now is to absolutely crush it :)  I also had way too much sex this year, like just so many hours of my life plugging away into wet holes, it's not really needed to gain more R&R.

We use the good Sony's as well as Canon DSLR.

The one with Julien shooting at the start uses the DSLR in the longer shot, the first few seconds is the Sony.

It's always been the same Sony but the DSLR is recent.  I don't own it so you'll see it more in Julien's vids.  Personally I think it had pros and cons, like it's absolutely jaw dropping but also can blur out the background (whole point of being there to shoot right?) if you don't set it right, as well as looking a bit cartoonish.

Again though, when done right, it is really just amazing.  I want to use DSLR for the BC infomercial, should be fucken sick.  Alex recorded a few vids of me in dark clubs when we did our BC's this year and they look sooooo good.

Love DMX.  But his shit was so much better when he was younger, he's an example to me of a dude who fell the fuck off.

Look at this shit when he was young!  The emotion in this OMFG!!  Dood was one of the best.

Wow, you were not kidding when you said 'Jaw Dropping vids' ... during the second one I felt tension in my stomach, I felt blown away, and I realised I'm not even half through the video.

Maybe you don't have an audience as big as Tony Robbins, but let me tell you this, you are as good as him (or better) regardless.

Btw - I may be wrong, but I kinda felt that you, yourself got a bit emotional whilst explaining the batman analogy.

Awesome video Tyler! You are a true inspiration for anyone who has been through a lot and lives in the pit of depression. You are a great leader, an awesome business man, and I can only guess your children are very very blessed to have you as a father.

This might seem trivial, but what do you say, as someone who is just crawling out of the pit, when the topic of childhood experiences comes up in Social settings? This fucks me up a lot. Ppl at work or groups in a bar talk about good childhood memories and I have nothing joyful to contribute. I know sharing these things is a great way for ppl to connect, but It makes me feel apart. Do you remember having this experience?

Hi Owen, thanks for the videos, the crazy thing is i started crying myself when i watched the "rising" video.... weird but mirror neurons at work and i relate to this stuff because i had the violent dad and the negativity and depression in younger years, too. This reminded me to keep on fightig towards the light every fucking day and i've just ordered "first rate madness" :)

Btw I see you are running bootcamps until 2014? That is so great. The content you'll put out during that time will be just so damn good and improve every time. I don't know wether I'll meet you someday on bootcamp, but a man can dream.

Btw do you take all your instructors to Hawaii? That's nice :)

I could never imagined your "the hard case newbie" would be like this. it's pretty harsh man.

everyone who is someone, has been in a lot of pressure growing up. breaking the barrier need lots of force. when you break it though, no one can stop you.

 Hey Tyler. Great videos.

About the momentum one.

I'v been going out a lot when I was living in Australia.
Then I came back in france and Game lightely for about a year.
Now I got my tocket to travel the world and game for about 1 or 2 years. Basicly a WORLD TOUR OF GAME.

And in this video you say, "if you're out. you're out for good. you won't come back"
Does that mean that I'll never have the succes I had before now that I slowed down my learning and practice ?

Thanks

Yeah After re watching it  I kinda understood better. Caus I didn't really stop momentum. I didn't went back to a chick less, game less, negativ life. I traveled to the USA, red lots of good books, started working on my spirituality, did P90X, now full on yoga, waiting to fly for Thailand and australia again.

It's just that the way he puts it, it seems like, if you were going out 24/7 and then stopped, you'r not coming back !

Hey Tyler!

Thanks alot for the videos, really like pretty much everything that you put out :)

I have a suggestion for a topic: Could you please make a video about how to stay in good health? Because it seems that you almost never get sick, but still have a really hectic lifestyle. For me personally, I get sick like three times every year, and relating this to creating macro-momentum, I think this is my biggest problem. Cause when you get sick, you can't go to the gym, you can't do pickup, you might need to stay away from work etc.

I would say I live a really healthy lifestyle overall, I work out (when Im not sick), I eat very healthy, don't drink or smoke, do meditation every day, but nevertheless I get sick. The only problem I can think of is that I sometimes sleep too little and that this weakens the immune system (and also perhaps that I live in Sweden, and it's easy as hell to get sick when its dark and cold), but you seem to be alot more sleep deprived than I am, and still not getting sick. So, what's your secret Tyleeer?

Thanks once again for the awesome videos!

Tyler, the 2nd video was extremely touching and inspiring. I'm not a hardcase newbie at all but something in it really spoke to me and the way you expressed your soul was just beautiful, I'm not kidding!

It's actually a cool change because lately, I've got to be honest here man, I got fucking sick of all your bragging and extreme statements on some of the free tour videos (like some shit I think no normal human beings could ever relate to, in spite of what your male groupies tell you).

You're a true leader to me, because you lead by exemple and I can't thank you more for putting yourself out there to inspire people to step it up like you did. Keep it up, friend!

Here are some topics I would like to see you cover on future video blogs :

- Talk about YOUR game! Sounds stupid as heck, but you're on the best level you've ever been in your entire life at the moment in terms of game. Why don't you take some time to explain how you do your stuff in the field at this moment in time? How you open, how you pull, how you push the envelope in clubs? Please talk about what you've been experimenting recently and how you go about your night right now.

- I dare you to do the emotional breakdown video!! As I mentionned previously, I feel like you've been bragging a lot recently about all the girls you're fucking, etc. Why don't you give a 30 minutes talk on how much pain you've had to handle through the years, the humiliation, the rejections, the horrible nights of loneliness, the incredible embarassements you've had to go through until today! I feel this is truly the other side of the coin of greatness but if all you talk about is your greatness then the full truth of REAL greatness is missing out.

- Hotseat is amazing but man, with all the hours of incredible footage you've shot of yourself, it certainly wouldn't do too much harm to share maybe a 2 mins clip of infield footage here and there and do a small breakdown, just as a one off little change from the free tour/landscape videos. Just to spice things up a bit and create some wonder - like you did for the last hotseat launch which was AMAZING! :-)

Keep it up, you're the best.

The "crawling out of the cave" video was pretty crazy, could def tell you were emotional about it. It's sweet that you've done what you've done so you can help people now.

Tyler, you're the shit. Realizing now the extent of my own "depression tendencies", and your stuff is helping me a lot. Grateful.

Can really relate to that second vid. Nice work.

Just curious, can speaking into a camera like that improve your social skills? Mine are awful due to my shyness.

It is amazing to me, as years go by, and as i follow RSD's evolution from a distance, how so much of Nietzsche's philosophy just sticks to what you're building here.
Basically all of his major concepts are compatible with your belief system, your techniques, your goals, your life hygiene, your way to teach (metaphore, aphorisms).

I am a medical student so in no way a philosophy specialist, but for me when you say that the state of adventure, and challenge should constitute your new confort zone, is for me like " Your foot and your will to go beyond your foot. That shall constitute your new honor". Or the principle of eternal return, what would you feel if a demon crawled into your dreams at night and told you that your life shall repeat itself again and again, would you break down in angish and sorrow, or would you feel content, eager to live this life again and again, proud of your choices, in total accord with it. This is meant as a test, but again, watching you, earing you, always seems like this test is perpetually and naturally sent our way "Are you your best self?" "Are you making the fucking effort to be?".
This of course because the way to the superior man is through total destruction of oneself, the death of man, of our history, of our flawed soul. Through active nihilism, wich in itself alone would bring nothing but despair, a conservative society, content, consuming forever itself in easy pleasure and boredom. Active nihilism need will of power "you adventurous self" your vision, your challenge, "your path of heart" as you and Castenada call it.
Once you find this path, you build up your core, your new self, through active reinvention in total accord with the world, the real world, "the earth", the field, wich will match the real you. Through flames, through sorrow, pain, and with a constant need to test yourself through the veracity of the world, to accept the whole truth "I suck shit", to really become what your need to become in order to reach this ideal of the ubermensch.
Furthermore,as you walk this path, you said we become something of an "etheral being" not really rooted in anything else but our will to change, innovate, create. This is so right to the point.
I felt this feeling of insecure footing as soon as i decided to go into the game, to change myself, to activelly change my core values. I discovered Nietzsche at the same time as I discovered Mystery.. then of course the crazy dark magicians (fuentes.. omg), deAngelo.. then back to some reality, to juggler, to RSD. And at the end.. i realised. Man, you guys, you broke it down...
Who needs to improve the game anymore, you did it. It is done. (and i dont mean the outergame, mystery almost had it pretty well owned, I mean the real shit)
Transformation, being in the moment, having fun for yourself, being on your path... blueprint..
And now.. i feel that the general way, the global path is to actually GO BACK to reality, to what people use to expect from you, to have a life of value and meaning, in a sens of calm and freedom to say : Okay, this shit is fun, i need to make shit happen.

Then again, being in medschool i realize most of the hardest path need total dedication, you almost need asperger to really own medical studies. You need to cut yourself from the novelty, and exitation, the circus of everending new in your life, and COMMIT.

In this regard, your bit on momentum is gold. Yet i do believe that you can get back on the horse, even if it's really hard. As long as you are willing to feel pain at your core, and climb.

As a philosophy major, you probably have read Nietzsche, does he inspire you?

Thank you for everything man.

When I saw that you where also moved by the Dark Night Rises I was so excited. When I was done watching the movie I was inspired by the movie so much I can not stop telling my friends and family about it. I battled with anxiety and depression for years the metaphor of climbing out of the pit touched me a lot the fact that you saw the same thing in the movie shows you really did have a hard time. I also loved how you recalls his dads words of "what do we do when we fall bruce? we get back up"
I cant wait to take a bootcamp with you in december.

It is so cool seeing the sort of things you guys get up too. Seeing places like Budapest or Australia and other awesome places is amazing. These are definitely places I want to experience seeing. It is so difficult with work, with reaching goals, balancing cold approach, pick up, and dedicating myself to the many goals I have for myself.

The last video was awesome Tyler. Seeing you go through that extra bit from one spot to the next spot and going on to explain it was coincidental to your topic of macro and micro momentum. It also shows your character and dedication to success. Awesome!
