Todd's Blog
Hey happy 2013, Todd here,
In this article you will learn how to strategize your night for maximum success and maximum learning. Find out exactly what I am thinking as I move from set to set and club to club throughout and evening of love and chaos. Find out the best ways to manage your state.
I’m just coming off a bootcamp in Washington DC, which has been both hectic and amazing. There were literally MULTIPLE girls being pulled by our crew EVERY single night so you can imagine the stories and adventures that ensued. I also had some very interesting wake-up calls with the students that really reminded me to be on my toes as an instructor. So overall, definitely memorable.
Now I’m off to Singapore and Australia, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve never been to Asia and I have not been to Australia for years. I’m also REALLY psyched to see some warm weather again. Southern hemisphere FTW!
My game has also been reaching new heights lately with no end in sight. It’s amazing how fast you can make progress with a singular focus. I can literally feel the game flowing in my body now and I am really getting finely calibrated to just what brings me success and what falls flat. I’ve also been fortunate enough to see some great game examples first hand (in particular Jeffy in San Francisco) that have been eye opening.
I’m working on putting these new insights into blog form, but that is difficult as they are currently more words than feelings. I’m confident I’ll figure out how to express them soon, so keep an eye out for my future videos.
Speaking of videos, another great place to see my PRACTICAL IN-FIELD COACHING videos and to ASK ME LIVE QUESTIONS is through Inner Circle. I believe it’s the best program dollar for dollar (only $5/month) that we have at RSD.

Ok. On to the video.
This video took me more time to encode and upload than any video EVER, so it better be worth it.
Basically this video explains how to conduct yourself strategically throughout a night of pick up. When to stay in set and when to bounce. When to number close and when to try and pull. When to be persistent and when to move on.
It’s not the sexiest sounding material in the cold approach game, but it can boost your actual results more than just about anything. So have a look at the video.
The main gist is that you should first build your night, then try to capitalize… within reason. But it also goes into how to run the sets, how to manage your state and how to pull. In hindsight one topic I would like to cover that I did not, was how to screen the girls for logistics and “down-ness”, so perhaps I’ll handle that in a future video.
The other theme in this video though it is not explicitly stated, is that of keeping the newbie mentality even as you become advanced. It’s so easy to develop an ego or to get lazy once you are seeing consistent success; but it’s really been brought home to me lately, how much more can be achieved if one keeps that beginner mindset and just goes hard at all times.
Before I sign off, I want to mention that if you want more unique thoughts and information I put out ideas and lines on both facebook and twitter daily:

Okay, I’m off to catch a flight, so I’ll talk to you soon.
Thanks again, and until next time,
-Todd

All you have to do is be good on the fundamentals and not get in your own way really.

I also like how you flashed the main ideas of the points you were making. It made it easier to follow.
The "Fucking Bitch" in the middle of vid was priceless man, lol.
Keep pimping!

I was sitting at the bar not drinking, and watching the game when this drunk lady orders a beer and it explodes right next to me and my coat. I actually was feeling very sick and tired at the time so I barely even reacted, and in fact I didn't even say a word, I just grabbed my coat and looked at her.
The then procedes to verbally berate me yelling SUPER LOUD over the entire bar: "Nobody gives a fuck about your 20 dollar coat you bitch, I'm wearing a 300 dollar jersey, fuck your little 20 dollar coat!!!"
I still don't react at all or even say anything, I don't even change my expressions, I just look at her.
So women in bar actually say "look at him he's not reacting to overeacting to her at all!!" and had 3 women come up and approach me. I pulled one of them from the bar, but set up a day 2 because I was super sick.
But what a great example of how not reacting to a situation causes attraction. So I was thinking I can create awkward situations and then not react to them like you mentioned in the video. Awesome!

I like your fight or flight analogy where you can put the awkwardness on to somebody else.
Stay at least 30 more seconds. Thanks Todd! You are a great instructor.

Btw maybe you should double check your articles before posting them. I believe in the sentence "... these new insights... they are currently more words than feelings." you meant it other way around and did you mean that i can meet wingmen if I participate in Inner circle events? I don´t know who Wigmen are.
Anyway thanks for the article!

You might not have as many video views or be as funny/stimulating as Julien or Jefft, but you are definitely one of the most well-rounded, moral, understandable and relatable instructors.
I can really relate to you in the sense that we have similar views of what success is, or, better yet, what we want out of the game.
Anyway, just figured I'd leave this comment and say this was one of your most solid freetour videos. The content itself is great and the way it's presented really elucidates your ideas. Keep up the good work I'll be watching!
