Sam's Blog
You’re out. You hit up the first set you see with a buddy. They don’t know you guys at all, but a couple of minutes pass and they love you guys and they are all over you. They’re asking you questions, she’s moving in closer, touching your chest, and keeps trying to get to know you. It was only 20min ago that she was standing aloof without a care for anyone else, but now she’s trying to win your approval, trying to figure out what you like/dislike, and trying to impress you. She’s itching to be part of your world and she’s changing herself in hopes of getting in.

Similar thing happens on a far bigger level…. it’s weird, but maybe lately you’ve been noticing that most of your buddies have been adopting your mannerisms. It’s always the little things. You started using a specific word, typing a certain way, wearing something different, walking a different way, or speaking in a slight accent – for no reason at all, just at a whim, but you notice that they follow.
This is your brand in full effect on auto-pilot. It’s your vision, your idea, the REAL YOU. People are trying to be a part of your world 24/7.
Very important concept to digest here and it will make you or break you. Ask yourself – what comes to mind when people in your social circle think of YOU? What’s going through a girl’s head a few minutes after you’ve approached her, what’s her impression of you, what’s your world like?
Branding isn’t about gay company mission statements and cheesy commercials. It’s about vision and core values. It’s the single message that you’re sending out to the world. I AM XYZ….
One of the biggest things you’re reminded of in marketing, psychology, NLP, hypnosis, list goes on… is that people could process a limited amount of information, both logically and emotionally, at any given time, and also that most people are ADD as fuck. Because of this as you think about what exactly your overall style/brand/message is and how you can improve it, need to realize that the more singular and unique it is the better.
That said though you should never “try” to be different for the sake of being different. Needs to come from a place of genuineness, not insecurity. Do something and be something because you love it at the moment and others will follow. This is also why this is often a process of self-discovery for many guys, because as your game, personality, and personal style strengthens you also become more aware of who you really are and what exactly that message is.

So, to cap off here….
RULE #1 – The strongest message *ALWAYS* wins.
RULE #2 – Your message is infectious. It’s VIRAL. Masssive domino effect.
RULE #3 – People want to be led and are always looking for new people, things, and trends to follow.
Final point… GAME = INFLUENCE = YOUR PERSONAL BRAND = LEADERSHIP
Yah, the term “pick-up artist” is prettty chode-y and def has a weird ring to it, but you know, thinking it over I actually like that it uses the word “artist” – but NOT thinking about it in the way that it’s typically thought about.
Your personal style, your wardrobe, your mannerisms, your lingo, your passions, interests, and hobbies – your presence, brand, message, and self-identity are all part of YOUR ART.
Game is art because it’s self-expression.

I noticed that there was a certain way some people talked, they'd have a specific type of humour, and I'd try to make them laugh using their humour, trying to impesonate them.
I think this is why it's so important to have a clear idea of who you are and what you want. Half the battle is knowing when you're being pulled into the above and resisting it, remembering to be your own guy.
Whenever I'm totally my own guy, no compromises, that's when shit goes right.

You are reacting to your core not to the environment. Some people will be like "fuck society" and be a polarity responder to any social standards, but at the end of the day, they are still in reaction to society. Tap into something inside yourself for your expression.

That is fucking money. Definetly hit home with something I'd been struggling with. I just hadn't been able to be put a finger on it.

I really loved the Rob Dougan clip. GREAT song, and I was amazed by the music video for it! I read some of the comments on youtube, and a guy posted that he didn't really understand what it was about. I thought it was a really magnificent video, and most of the underlying messages and motifs really seemed obvious to me. Anyways, heres what I came up with. Hopefully it will inspire some people too.
To me it seems all about growth. In the beginning the hero sees these large men, and he turns and sees beautiful women, things that he wants, he wants to be great. And so he's being pushed back, he's pushing against gravity and the world around him.
He keeps pushing and pushing, while everyone else is going backwards he is going forward, looking ahead to greatness and glory. Finally he breaks out of his personal gravity and crashes through his biggest obstacle. In the end the hero returns, grand and glorious as the great men he looked up to and admired, before him.
Through out the movie there is the motif of the black family, which is a form of symbolism itself, for coming from poverty, or experience great resistance in life, from racism, and various forms of violence from the world. Then there is the black child, who in the end is found to have a disability of her foot or leg of some sort, and she drags her foot when she walks. The grand hero looks down at the girl, and she looks up at him, and you can sense a connection of sorts, she sees what he has become compared to what he was, and she is inspired, just as he was.
It's about glory, greatness, realizing that conventional wisdom and most societal conditioning is garbage, and that to achieve glory and greatness, you have to push forward on your own path, RELENTLESSLY. Then you will more glorious than you have ever been before.

i like the way you bring out and emphasize the similarities between success in the business world and success in "the field". really eye opening to me as i'm hard working on my career right now.
success principles are universal...

I'd put heavy emphasis on "don't try to be something you're not" , but in my experience, it takes some years for most guys as they develop their lifestyle, values, relationship skills, social circles, etc.
I think from my own experience, these are generally qualities that are valuable as your "brand image":
1. Busy (goes with #3)
2. Positive
3. Always has a lot of options (girls, parties, venues, activities, friends, networks, financial sources)
4. Always Fun and Easygoing but don't take disrespect, BS, or flakery from the boys, unless it's a party.
5. Generous and non-judgmental
I've learned this mostly by modeling Natural social circle leaders in my hometown.
When you're naturally HV and busy doing many productive things in life, even a simple txt or quick coffee break with them can be considered generous by many people, because your time IS scarce and options are many.

This is all about LEADERSHIP
Period.
Women are a bi-product of it, they follow naturally.
