Read the whole post. Nice stuff! I lived in Honolulu from 2002 till a few weeks ago and it's a great place. Pipeline is indeed a dump.

The W seems to have some of the most bitchy girls compared to the other clubs that I used to frequent so doing field work there was a huge plus.

What other clubs and bars did you guys to go?

The thing about the W was that 99.99999 % of the people in there were Asian. So when a non-asian person 'intruded' they would look at you funny.

I don't want to list the names of all the clubs since Owen does BC's there. We had a bad experience on the last night when some dude exclaimed, "OMG IT'S TYLER FROM THE GAME!!". Following that there was a crowd around Owen. Not good.

I kind of regret mentioning the names in the FR

I don't know if remembering everything is such a good thing :) Owen told me that he did not even REMEMBER his rejections. His mind automatically filtered them out.

I remember all my rejections but I honestly don't care. So I guess it evens out.

I suspect those Swedish girls were probaly from Switzerland, since Zurich is the capital of Switzerland. Americans rarely get that right.

Ahh... I feel like an idiot :o

I wish I could edit it.

I don't think the color of your skin matters too much at the W. It's without a doubt more of a 'chill' crowd though than at other clubs.

As for not naming clubs, there aren't too many clubs in Waikiki and the surrounding areas so I don't think you telling the names would make a difference. ;)

I've read reports of people doing bootcamps now at Zanzabar, Pearl, W, Fightline, and I think Fashion 45. In terms of decent-sized clubs, there aren't that many more.

Did you guys stop by Lotus at all? It's my favorite club there. Friday nights are the best.

Yo well done man. I took a bootcamp in Honolulu back in May and it was unreal too. I laughed my ass off when you started doing the oh oh oh eh eh eh olah olah olah oo olah olah eh. I remember showing Owen that song from my Dominican adventures and he loved it. Good to see it's still getting use. And good to see you had such a good experience.

Great post, I thought there was an ironic undertone towards the Sweden - Zurich thing but apparently there wasn't, so once and for all

Sweden - Stockholm/Gothenburg
Switzerland- Zürich, Geneve, Bern
