how many sets are you doing a night?

number of sets you is indicative of your game. as you progress in the game you will do less and less sets. pu will become easier almost effortless.

i had a community guy last week for bc. he was used to doing 10-20 sets a night. ejecting too early, reactiveness(pussyness) to first signs of resistance, not solid internals lead you to this type of game. we did 3 or 4 on our first night. we hooked up with 2.
on second night of bc, we did some sets but i literally could have stayed with any of the sets we did for the whole night. first set, girl numbercloses me in front of boyfriend and the whole group wants to hang out with me for the rest of the night, i eject politely(bc to attend), then we proceeded to some hook ups and make outs. we could have stayed with virtually every other set. at the end of the night i had to pull him out of a set he had hooked up with. sorry little girl, debrief time.

if you are doing too many sets you should go back and re-evaluate your game.

When I'm collecting contact closes it seems pointless to me to stay far past the hafl hour mark. So I don't. Is something wrong with this strategy?

At the same time, I'd like to point out, no matter what you should always BE IN SET.

So that means if you get blown out, don't think "Well I should wait so I'm not in 10 sets tonight." Ozzie means just to stay in each set as long as you can.

i probably do between 4-6 sets where i engage past an opener. Typical night i'll probably get ~2-3 phone numbers out of those sets.

I want to raise the quality of these girls, 7's consistent. I just realized i need to social proof more before i jump straight at the top notches in the club.

When i walk in and go straight for the hotties i get blown out a couple times, then i warm up with 6's/etc and work back up to 7's and 8's by the end of the night.

I'm thinking if i peacock harder i.e. look more like a rockstar i can just walk in and talk to a 9/10 without having to walk aroudn the party social-proofing. Think this is true Ozzie? (or anyone else with experience)

Ozzie, or somebody else, could you give some examples of that? How the guy reacted wrongly and what he could have done instead..

like Tyler says in Foundations, ideally you should be doing just one set a night.

Ha awesome Ozzie. If you read any of my posts lately or the last FR I posted I've been saying the same thing. And it's totally true.

Approach to close.

Don't tell yourself you're going to approach to improve your "social calibration". No. Why would you want that when you can pull? haha.

Guys if you are approaching 20 girls in a night you are doing it wrong. Because you are doing what I call "THROWAWAYS". You're throwing the entire pickup away by eject too early.

Let me guess..you'll go in for 5-30 seconds..say youre "material" (hopefully you're not just using routines)...and then eject as soon are you tell yourself "what do i say next?"

If you're going to eject anyway stay in...doesn't matter what you say. Just make yourself stay in for a minute....SOI a bit...and then go for the close. See what happens. ;)

this is old school mistakes. the 12 set a night goal. so even if the guy was doing well he would eject/blow himself out to "accomplish" the 12 set goal. fortunately we have grown smarter than this.

most community guys end up doing so many sets because they dont plow thru resistance. if there are no iois in the first 5 seconds they leave. fishing for iois we call this mistake.

i re-sent my guy back into a set where he was "blown out" and he got a make out. he couldnt believe it. was he really "blown out" or did he really "blew himself" out conviniently?

i strongly disagree with this mentality that i "need to do something" to hook a set. it means you are not trusting yourself or your internal compass. looking like a rock star will get you attention, no doubt, but you will still need to have your internals right to get any type of girl. the rock star look will give you "the confidence" to approach those sets. it goes along the lines of "if i look like so and so i will get so and so girls or they will be into me"... do you really need to look like somebody you are not? i strongly disagree. again peacocking seems to give guys the confidence or "permission" to talk to people. in my opinion not needed or overkilling it.

What works best for me is

I open as many sets as I need to get comfortable.

If I haven't been out in a while I might do 10 sets on a Thursday night then I may go back and reopen the best 3 encounters.

I make it look like a social guy non needy guy

Friday & Saturday night because I'm already relaxed, I may open around 3 to 6 sets and concentrate on doing longer sets

I usually do 3-6 sets a night. Oftentimes I'm guilty of ejecting too early. It's not so much that I'm waiting for IOIs, but sometimes the girls are rather boring (ok, you might argue that beint interesting, i.e. investing into the convo is a kind of IOI, too). If they don't play along well with my games, are not creative and don't seem to have a life (i.e. when I ask them what they do in their spare time they don't know what to say) I get bored and I leave the set.
I'm also guilty of not escalating enough and not fast enough. If the girls is not at least a 7 I will not try to escalate, not even a # close - I know I should and it would be good for my game...
