I was checking out the books/authors you said you were going to read and a lot of them are books i have either read or want to.
I think it would be cool if you just posted a book a week or a big list of books you think would lend themselves to expanding your perspective and consciousness.
Thanks,
John

Hey man --
I've read Nathan Branden's stuff on his website, but haven't gotten to his books yet because I'm still plowing through Robert Bly and next week Daniel Goldman, and next week Maxwell Maltz, and next week Milan Kundera, etc etc...
I'll probably get to his book next month.
Which one did you read? Was it the Pillars Of Self Esteem?
Also, I think that bootcamps can help a TON with success barriers, but success barriers are also something that have to CONSTANTLY be kept in check by your own habits and willpower.

Six Pillars is EXCELLENT! Filled with Branden's sentence stem completions. I would, however, suggest that you pick up some of his earlier works too. Raising Your Self-Esteem capsulizes his concepts about self-esteem very well and is very easy to read. Not a large book but a 'go-to/reference type of book. I would also suggest for more in-depth reading his The Psychology of Self-Esteem and Honoring the Self---VERY in-depth. I think you'd get alot out of them.
There's another book and I just can't remember the title. It's an autobiography and in it, he covers his relationship with Ayn Rand (more like a nightmare to be honest about it) in great detail. Clue: he now views Ayn Rand much in the same way you do. In other words, he learned alot from her that was valuable even though her hold on him (until he finally broke free) was just this side of traumatizing. Like you said in your blog, you can take the good and throw out the bad. --- MS

Yeah, Aussies LOOOVVVEE Chappelle - esp his Rick James - the DARKNESS episode was one the greats! A truly untapped talent...
Untapped?
You dont want to know how much he was going to get paid for his third season.
Might want to check out the site below...looks pretty factual. Seems likely.

As Chappelle began production on the second season of Chapelle's Show, strange things started to occur. Scripts for the sketches began disappearing, featured players weren't showing up on the set, and illnesses were plaguing key members of the crew.
Additionally, Chappelle voiced his concern to one of the extras of the show that one of the replacement cameramen looked like the Nation of Islam bodyguards Farrakhan had with him when he visited the set earlier in the year. Upon confronting him, Chappelle's learns that the replacement camera man was originally from Chicago, was a fellow Muslim, and was a member of Farrakhan's congregation.
After this incident, Chappelle confided in cast member Charlie Murphy and head writer Neal Brennan that he thinks some powerful black people are out to get him to tone down the show's content, and that they may have infiltrated the set. Both tell him not to worry — that it's just the pressure getting to him. But personally, both worry that the pressure to succeed may have been getting to Chappelle, and express concern to other crew members."

It's easy to say it's "pressure", but when your life or your family's welfare is at stake. What would you do?
