I have some weird friends at the moment. All chodey. None with much skill with women. None willing to go out to pickup women. The few that have seen me in action are gobsmacked that it can be done but slightly sceptical. Sometimes when I take them daygaming they amog me without even realising it cos they are so clueless.
They generally have low self-esteem.

So I want a new social circle (on top of the current one which is cool but not that good for me). I want to be very well socially networked. This goal is probably a higher priority than getting laid. And harder.

I DONT WANT friends with all these inhibitions. I just want cool, laid back guys who are willing to go out and have fun without intoxicants (my current set always get drunk or stoned or whatever).

Plan of Action:
1) When I go out to clubs and bars I will approach those groups that look like they are having the most fun and being the most wacky. I will befriend them. I will number close the fuckers. These groups are likely to have HBs in but this is not too important.
2) During the day I will go to the student union and talk to random groups who look cool and laid back. Not the chodey types.
3) I will stop wearing my headphones so much. And generally talk to randomers more and number close number close number close.

With girls I look for laid back, cool, confident, funny etc etc and good looks. With guys im looking for all that MINUS the good looks. And yet even though Im searching for FEWER characteristics in a male friend than in a sexual partner, it seems the cool guys are harder to find!

If anyone has any more specific tips or comments please post away.

your head is in the tiger´s mouth. no escape. you bit the forbidden fruit, whatever.

any friends you had from before the game you will outgrow them and systematically ditch without you knowing it. it is an unconscious process.

after learning this skill set, the volume on everything else in life gets turned down.

you will steer clear of people that are not cool enough or not share your values, etc. it is a natural process like growing up. some friends from childhood you will keep, others will never see again. just once in a while.

you WILL get a whole bunch of new friends whether you like it or not.

in general your old friends knew the old you. they dont know you have skill now, they dont know you have a new set of values. they related to the old you, not the new. it will take some time and getting used to it.

i'd like to add that who you relate to and associate yourself with ,i believe is a sub-concious reflection of who you are.

you're on the right path to me..if i wanted to expand my social circle that's precisly how i would do it. I notice that in order to attract people to you that you are in search of attracting, you must also look like you belong to that crowd.the way you dress and look plays a big part.stoners attract stoners, clubbers attract clubbers, thugs attract thugs..like attract like in other words.

I agree with Ozzie, I used to have some friends who were all chodey. They were doing nothing with girls, when I look at them they're unsanitary metal listening guys who are scared to talk to the girl behind the counter in the superstore.

You outgrow them within time. People around you notice that you got game and will befriend you, even without knowing it. I got non chodey friends, one friend of mine got so tight game but he doesn't even know. He can make every girl laugh and like him but he cannot close the deal.

But back to the subject, you will befriend people who are just like you in a matter of time. Just do your thing and like Tyler said on his free seminar and like you said. Just get some numbers from cool guys, hang out and kaching.

shit, i used to hang out with a bunch of thugs..not exactly chodes if you ask me,but not exactly the type you could trust with your girl either. it's pretty fucked up and i got away from that element, though it will always remain a part of my mentality somewhat.they were brutes..we were brutes actually and i used to think that was kinda cool in a way, just be tough ,act hard and get what you wanted and just fuck someone up that messed with you. i am glad i got away from that mentality :D

I was thinking about this yesterday. ALL my friends, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them smokes. They all drink, get high etc.

I find it pathetic to watch these guys these days. Every single day they talk about how they are gonna stop. They stop for a day, then start their shit again. It's so sad.

I use to smoke for a year, then I just stopped (not even for a reason). Now I don't smoke, and I NEVER get drunk. I don't even THINK about getting high. I was actually thinking to myself, "I must have really good frame control, cause they never influence me". But that's all besides the point.

Find a set that you would like to hang out with. Approach, get attraction and rapport. Meet their other friends. BAM your in a new circle.

PS - I love it when my friends ask me for money to buy cigs. They always go like: "Please, I need a cigarette" and I'm like "well I don't, hahah!"

So true. And necessary for growth.

I sympathise with all of this, as it happened to me too...

I actually caught up with a lot of old friends over christmas, and it taught me some interesting things.

The more I humbled myself, the more they liked me. If I go into a club with them I will actually build them up to girls I talk to, not to try and help them pick up the girls but just so they don't feel inadequate being around me. Even a year ago, most of my non RSD friends would have avoided socialising with me and girls in a club because it would force them to CONFRONT their chode realities head on (as far as their skills with girls go). Nobody wants to be reminded of their weaknesses in life, and though it was unintentional on my part it still made them feel that way

Learning to relate to people who haven't cultivated as much value as you have is very tricky at times, but for me it has been the next step in my development. Plus with your new skills you will be able to get cooler friends as well as keep your existing friends without them resenting you.

You will be surprised, some of your chodey friends might well be about to hit their Chode V-max and will soon start cruising the net for help....and come across a forum.....and be on the same path to improvement that you have come along. You can leave your friends behind, you can wait for your friends to discover the way, or you could maybe give them a nudge in the right direction. Noone wants to be a chode, just most people out there don't know how to break out of the cycle. Give them some advice.....send them an E-book on this stuff...ask them if they have any goals in this area of life. I say give them a leg-up, so to speak. But it is really your decision.

Yeah, but it´s not easy to nudge them either... most simply don´t want help. They look at me sometimes as if I´ve gone out of my mind when suggesting they should read at least, the game, or something. I sent out a pdf downloaded copy of it to my friends for free, 4 guys. None of them read it.
Now I´ll mention it once, if they don´t latch on I won´t push it.
Granted, in the beginning I was so pumped by the stuff I went a bit over board describing it I guess.

it would probably be easier to get them to climb Mount Everest naked...Personally I don't believe in smarting up the other poker players, but that's me...no one wants to believe that what they have been lead to believe all along is pretty false.

After the game was released I thought that certain blatantly silly pu tactics would be dimnished. I was in this bar recently and a really striking (perhaps model) was there with her friends and some guy in the bar ordered a bottle of champagne (or something close to that) My guess is he spent at least $75 on the bottle. He then had the bartender pour four drinks from it and then he brought it to the girls. Later on he bought them shots as well. what he spent on drinks on those hb's is probably more then I would spend in six months on booze on myself..

so as long as this is happening , it is a good bet that most others are under the same influence.....Most pua tactics are just to far outside what they believe so they won't chance it
