Not quite sure what you mean by hot topic. I'm not a fan of opinion openers, but I think I can figure out how to get the general idea into my style. Will definitely do the FTC thing too.

Hot topic is when you and the girl talk about something with passion and can´t wait to give your oppinion, like when you're with your two best friends and you're talking about, uhmm... what you guys have in common ? :D
Like talk about the week you went to Spain and how cool the beach was etc. then when she relates you totally give her back enthusiasm in your response, and it just grows and grows... when it's milked out, you continue to another topic you noticed while she was speaking and that you noted mentally before, make sense ?

It's hard to tell immediately what someone I don't know would have in common with me. So I guess I try to do the high energy bantering stuff enough so I can either a) get something from her to vibe off of or b) attract her enough to be able to ask a more personal question and not get blown out (and usually one question is enough for me to vibe off of for a while). Definitely not consistent at this though. Not sure how else you figure out commonalities?

Met up with pimp101 at union sq. On way there chatted up random people, no attractive sets though.
Got there, went to Barnes and Noble. I asked a couple chicks for toothpicks, they didn't have them, I busted on them for not having everything in their purse like they're supposed to.
One chick was in christmas colors I remarked on that.
I told another chick to read a book I was holding. It was about salt. SHe was passing by and didn't stop but just laughed.
I stopped one girl. "a girl with no purse!" "haha, yeah, the thing is I work there" "but you're holding your wallet" "yeah I'm getting food" "your story's not holding up, I don't believe you" bantered a bit but sort of stalled and she kept going.
By the DVDs, wing asked a chick if she saw Fight Club there. He stalled and she started walking off and I started talking. I pointed to a DVD with a picture of a chick wearing black stockings and a black dress from behind and said "do you think she's hot?" "yeah" "so you'd do her?" she laughed and asked if I think she's hot "yeah, the stockings are good, they match her black hair well so she does the sexy mysterious thing well...you on the other hand, don't wear black stockings [she had light hair and fairly light skin]...you should wear red..red stockings and a green bra and a santa hat..since it's christmas" she laughed and said "thank you..I'll try that" At no point did she stop during the convo she was just slowly walking by and eventually off.
Met some friends randomly. At one point I merged an asian mixed 2-set into our group by saying "guys, come here, you're Asian, my frineds are asian, you'll get along..c'mon c'mere don't be shy" and I just held the frame while smiling and they fucking seriously came over and we all introduced ourselves. But turned out the set was together so didn't plow it.
At Virgin megastore pimp101 opened an asian 2set. He kinda stalled and I told them to buy the Jay-Z album, because he's my brother. Chick pointed to me a disk she was getting. A lot of bullshit high-energy bantering with these two. I don't even remember much of what was said, but everything we both said was bullshit, there was lots of laughing, some shit-tests, some of them passed. It was dying down and she decided to go downstairs. I tried to close "what's your name? [as I was entering in the phone]" "huh?...I don't know" "cool, I'll call you that. what's your #?" "I'm not gonna give you my number" "I'm sorry was that the area code?" my wing said "you were hitting on us for 15 min!" she said "we were just chatting" and no go.
Downstairs there was a part of the store playing techno. I saw the 2set again, and brought one of them to dance. She was all shy. I told her she's no longer on the dance team and that she's fired.
On way out I see an Asian mixed 4set, one dude. "holy shit dude, you're the tallest asian I've ever seen..." he laughed "you're standing there [he was on the curb]" I stand up to where he was "nope, you're still way taller man [I put my arm around his shoulder] and look these girls are so small, you put her on her shoulders and you get you [everyone's laughing at this point] you must drink your milk bro..."
[I start talking to one of the chicks] "you need to drink more milk" "hehe, ok" "really, I'm worried about you...need vitamin c, make you tall and your bones strong" sporadically kept on that with her while walking and sometimes talked to wing and eventually sorta lost them in the crowd.
On way back I sat next to a chick on the train. "hey...you seem tired" "I'm drunk"
it was really amusing. I wasn't flirting enough though, though did bust on her a bit, threw small paper airplanes through her circular earing, and other random shit. Towards the end she started rambling about politics and I cut thread a couple times (one of them the earing thing, actually) but eventually gave up.
It was cool getting out there int he city again. Felt kinda free. A lot of fun. Technically, though, I obviously was way too high energy rather than chill/unreactive and had big compliance problems.
