The bootcamp started on a Thursday evening – I was severely jet-lagged but jittery and wide awake nevertheless. I knew that I was about to be put through the fire and my heart was pounding. I tried to remain calm – I’ve been through a LOT of trying experiences in my life! – but this type of endeavor can be extremely unnerving. I mean, you’re really putting yourself out there! There is no halfway point.

I was sitting in the hotel lobby when Tyler walked in. I could tell that he was a man on a mission, and like any general commanding his troops he quickly laid down his concept of operations and the rules of engagement for me. The goal of the weekend was identity-level change. Not just a bunch of quick tricks to use out in the field, but fundamentally shifting my concept of who I am and how I approach and attract women. To bring this about I was to follow his direction completely. No questions. No hesitation. After spending the kind of money I spent to fly out to Hawaii and meet up with Tyler for this bootcamp, that wasn’t a problem. I was going to do whatever he asked! Besides, I had already learned to trust his judgment from his vast body of work on the subject. When someone like Tyler wants to impart his wisdom unto you, you’d be a fool not to listen intently.

After some discussion of what I hoped to accomplish for the weekend, we jumped into a cab and headed to Waikiki Beach for dinner. Almost as soon as we arrived at the restaurant he threw me into approaches cold. No setup, no direction. Just do it. Haha, I was chasing down Japanese girls on the street, approaching mixed sets sitting on the side of the road – you name it. I think that I had five or six finished before we sat down for dinner. I think that Tyler wanted a baseline, or starting point, to gauge where we needed to begin. Oh, did I mention that he was filming everything?

During dinner we touched on a number of subjects. Tyler is a very deep person and I appreciate his cerebral take on human nature and social interaction. It’s one thing to hand someone a set of lines, stories, or openers (and Tyler makes it clear that he’s not necessarily against these things), but it’s something completely different to understand why things do or do not work from a fundamental level. It’s the latter that I was hoping to extract from him and he certainly didn’t disappoint. I don’t know that anyone has all the answers, but I believe that Tyler and his RSD folks likely have the keenest understanding of the subject in existence.

Later on we left the street game and hit a local club. We did LOTS of approaches. Probably another forty or so by the end of the night. Again, Tyler threw me into all sorts of sets with intent on providing me with more pieces of the puzzle and more experience from which to draw on later. This time he gave me openers to use. Some were good and opened easily; others were designed to fail miserably! By the end of the weekend I had just about every extreme that you could have with respect to approaching! Before bootcamp started I felt that approaching had been my weakest point, but no longer is that the case. As long as you aren’t looking for validation from anyone, approaching is about as easy as it gets. Not everyone opens, but if you are a fun person offering value to the interaction then most do, especially if you give off the vibe that it’s your party. Harder for me was gaining attraction, but that started to work in my favor toward the end as well.

I can’t possibly go into a laundry list of every experience, but suffice it to say that I easily performed over 150 approaches during the weekend. I did have one extraction to my hotel room with a pretty solid HB8 within about 30 minutes of meeting her, but she got cold-feet because of a boyfriend back home and I didn’t know how to handle it properly. Of course Tyler gave me some great advice afterwards (he wasn’t filming that one!), but it was a little late by then. On one end of the spectrum, I had girls run away from me and finally hit me after Tyler sent me in again and again and again to the same set (funny!); I almost got into a fight with a jealous boyfriend who stood aghast at how almost instantly I gained massive attraction from his girlfriend with the most absurd, rockstar approach; I broke into couples passionately kissing and was blown off by fat, ugly girls. I also learned to turn potentially negative AMOG experiences into positive ones by extracting the nature and mannerisms of these so-called naturals. On the other end, I gained attraction from some really interesting and attractive girls. Had circumstances permitted I’m sure that I could have gotten a couple of girlfriends out of the deal. Oh, and on a side note, breaking open sets with Roxana at your side is like stealing candy from babies. If you can get a gorgeous, Mexican girl with great social skills to act as your wing I’d highly recommend it!

Overall, I was extremely pleased with the bootcamp. Tyler was definitely the man, and provided me with great value for my money. Further, he and Roxana are two of the most genuine and giving people that I’ve met. They both made me feel so welcome and I am truly grateful for their kindness and generosity. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending a RSD bootcamp to anyone. Honestly though, if you are serious about getting this portion of your life resolved or at least well on the way to resolving it, the experience is ridiculously cheap given the value they provide. I’m not a huge fan of self-help, but can you imagine what it would cost to spend the weekend with someone like Tony Robbins? Or maybe Donald Trump if you’re a businessman? I feel like I got that caliber of instruction on social interaction, life, and even business from Tyler at a rock-bottom rate.
