Read between the lines. Tyler seems to more open minded than most people (understatement) and isn't against drugs as much as he's just decided they're not for him.

I think most of the big players on here, whose opinions actually hold some clout, are of a similar persuasion.

I've got to agree with OP in that psychedelic drugs have a lot to offer some people (I'd in fact argue that we as a species have evolved to the point we have partly because of our intimate relationship with psychoactive plants) but, still, they're not for everyone.

It comes down to being a man and able to make your own, informed, decisions based on your own self-trust - which in itself has far deeper ramifications for game than many insights that may be ascertained from psychonautic endeavours.

Eye contact. Reading small changes in eyes. Feeling the girls emotions. Feeling the femininity of a girl in the David Deida sense of the word. Easier to be a natural when you "breath in her femininity" and all that esoteric David Deida stuff. And CHILLING THE FUCK OUT instead of being uptight.

I used to be really into Joe Rogan's shit until it got boring and repetative. And I know why people still listen to him. Although he has an immensely open perspective about life, it is tainted with an air of low-consciousness thinking or "durr-ness" to it. The onl wistom he seems to be able to spit is that, because he's done DMT or whatever, is he realizes how little he knows. So he keeps repeating that. "Yeah man it's crazy we don't know anything at all and the universe is HUGE." That's all well and good, but when you keep repeating this same line, you substitute wisdom for a broken record. He's stuck on holding the highground because he has found out he can question anyone's perspective or point of view, because, let's face it, any perspective or point of view can be questioned. Little kids know that the best.

Again - definitely don't mean to sound like I'm hating on Joe. I've been to his show and a long-time podcast listener. Just my 2 cents and what I've noticed as a pattern.

Also, if you want to see what drug abuse can do to you, just check Eminem's most recent interviews. The guy can't even crack a smile anymore. I'm guessing his personal problems have a lot to do with it too, but the transformation is crazy. He used to fuck around a lot in interviews back then, now he's stone cold emotionless. He's been off drugs for over a year now though, I hope he keeps it up. Oddly, he looks a bit younger now. Not sure if he's done surgery though.

I got into game and really see the matrix as some here call it, and was really focussed got laid all that good stuff then I got smoked some weed and it always slows me down after experiencing how calm I can be it changed my life!! I genuinely love myself more than ever because I have control of my emotions in pretty much any situation I take a hit every once in a while because I always have huge epiphany EVERY time.
I'll watch infield footage and everything makes perfect sence" so I just mimick as much as I can (being vs gaming) still I have decided to stop smoking for a while I can tell my mind is clouded with a lil bit to much "idgaf" just a lil on my experience.

I've tripped a couple of times, I like to do it every so often. Most of the time, it forces me to have to completely face my self without my ego being there, kind of like looking at myself from outside of myself. It's not always "fun" but I always come down from the trip knowing exactly what I need to fix in my life because I get extremely  transparent feedback from the experience minus my biases and ego constructs. The third time I tripped, I experienced mystic union, started to feel and understand God's mind for a couple of minutes and I laughed harder than I've ever laughed in my life like an insane person. If I am not being honest with myself about anything, the trip will shatter that and I'll know what I need to change. It helped me understand and come to terms with my spirit and my humanity when I was a disembodied intellect philosophy student. Not everyone would agree whether or not these kinds of experiences are desirable but I think they've helped me grow as a person. I think hallucinogens are supposed to be learning tools that are available to us to help us have a short, intense period of learning, then change and grow. They aren't necessary but they are just tools. If you want to go into inner space and see what's there, it's just a choice. It's not necessary and can become a distraction.

Drugs kill feelings. Emotions are very important in game and for being. If I don't understand my emotions or I can't feel them, than I won't be able to relate to people. This is supposing I use drugs as a handicap, or "every weekend I must take shrooms to cope with day to day life". It fucks me up on an emotional/spiritual level, and because I have an addictive personality that I developed from using drugs and alcool, over time the addiction and using will the rest of my life socially, vocationally, etc taking me down a self destructive path to purgatory - that's me, however, you may be able to use hallucinogens like the Erowid Ibogaine, preferably with a Shrink present - for guidance through your trip.
Some people can use drugs and weed and Alcohol socially without becoming addicted ( they can stop at 1 drink and carry on)
Some people can... and become addicted (they can't stop at 123 and end up acting out)
Unfortunately I'm the latter and therefore IMO...

In my personal opinion a huge chunk of becoming a man circles around the term of responsibility.

As a man you are responsible for everything that is and everything that is not in your life.

This involves facing uncomfortable things in order to evolve.

you're not a victim of circumstances or bad upbringing.

So, in that sense, it's pretty difficult to argue against the notion, that drugs are just an attempt of neglecting responsibility: I alter my perception/interpretation of the world, so that I don't have to face what's actually going on.

I fully believe drugs are just another excuse. And their popularity proves it.
