I don't know if this fits into pickup, or anything on this forum, but tyler really sparked some ideas in me with his last view vids + the blueprint. I'm 17 and I'd want nothing else than to travel the world and work on the go and meet people and discover new places, etc. I'm a tyler fan, but his last video about walking the path least traveled really brought something out of me that i've been thinking of for a while. HOW DO I DO IT?! I feel like i'm being told how to live my life. Go to high school, make good grades, get a degree etc. I'm NOT SCARED TO WORK, I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I'm smart, and i'm pretty good with programming/webdesign so i'm planning to go to a tech school for the first two years and the second two i may transfer or something. Please guys, if anyone has any input on what they wished they wouldve known at my age it would be greatly appreciated. I just need to know what i should do, go out and get a degree and then work a corporate job? or try to do something else? Thanks.
Get a technical degree that is in demand and doesn't require graduate school (thus minimizing debt). Engineering or statistics are probably the best.

If I could do it again I would do computer science because it has freelance potential.

But petroleum engineering from a state school (like the New Mexico Tech, which costs $7,000/year) basically guarantees you a $120k job working for a major oil company. Little freelance potential, but some potential for entrepreneurship, and you can work anywhere there is oil b/c there's such a demand for engineers.

Asking "what" to do is a shitty question.

Today everybody aks what to do. What do i have to do to get the job i want? What should i do with my life? What do you do if my girlfriend cheated on me with my dad?
Or people talking about what they want to do, what they did or what they gonna do.

Fuck that.

Ask and talk about the "HOW".

It doesnt matter if you go into programming, in playing music, in sports, in marketing, in sales, in cooking, in teaching pickup, in making youtube videos about aliens, in writing books about not finding you purpose.

If tyler wouldn´t be a pick up and selfhelp teacher he would be something else but similar successfull.

It´s about the attitude. The area where you express it is secondary and there will come the thing you very like and you are very good at. But its secondary,

Do not try to figure out "what to do", before you start doing. It doesn't work that way. "Discovering your passion" is bullshit.

Start with what you know. You like a certain kind of thing or subject? Start with that. Develop your skills in this specific area of your live. Others will automatically follow. Experiment, try things out, work in different jobs, have internships, read about things.

Realize that looking back, the experiences you have in your life always make perfect sense, so trust that those that lie in the future will do too.
