nice definition bro... but are you aware that in any act of perception there is a creation?

Ok thanks guys that all helped a lot. I already have read the power of now and so try to think less as much as possible. Although I do want to be spiritual and not in my head too much, I feel like I need to have a positive voice on top of that to maximise my confidence. I get obsessed with trying to read every single book on inner game that I feel like its procrastination on my inner game itself. Before you ask, its not affecting my outer game too much as I am still going out and approaching a lot. I know a positive attitude is the right way to go, especially with the reframing and all that.

I just was really put off by seeing all this psuedoscience law of attraction so called evidence of people staring at water when it freezes whilst feeling happiness and suddenly the waters molecular structure changes. Knowing that the experiments were not done properly and so could not be credited. DVD's like 'The Secret' claiming if you think positive that the Universe will make things come to you. Plus this article I read stating that if you act happy when really you're not it could make you worse as it feels like you're lying to yourself. http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wired-success/201305/do-self-affirmations-work-revisit

From now on I'll try to act as if everything is in my favour. Reframe the negative to positive. Try and think less. And apply this attitude of positivity and productivity as much as possible.

Its not about just repeating "I'm happy" - its about only indulging in positive thoughts. Just use negative thoughts for course correction, but DO NOT indulge in them for long periods of time.

Delusional positivity as far as a life philosophy is pretty dangerous.  But there's a difference between focusing on the positives and delusional positivity.  If you stop showing up to work and feel "positive" about your relationship with your boss because you're doing anything you can to avoid negative thoughts and emotions then that's delusional.  If you hate your job but like your coworkers and when there focus on the fact that you like the people you work with, that's focusing on the positives.  As Tyler would say "Use your FUCKING BRAIN!"

Also, when it comes to helpful beliefs that are not necessarily true - i.e. "All girls always think about sex" or "I'm the most attractive man on the planet," there's nothing wrong with using these beliefs to pump your state - just remember what they're there for - to pump your state, not to describe objective reality.

Positive thinking leads to resourceful states where you believe things will work out well for you, which allows you to make awesome decisions. IMO this is the most important benefit of positive thinking - Good decisions.
