Yeah this is a touchy topic.

I was looking into it and I realized I demonstrate almost every trait of someone with an autistic spectrum disorder to a very minor degree.

What does that mean? basically I do a couple weird things like lean in my chair and flip pencils, I dont always walk on sidewalks/ cut across grass
I am about 80 percent normal, but have like a 20 percent problem with communicating
like I will often communicate the wrong emotion, make slightly off facial expressions often under/over expressing emotions with my face/voice *this is the main one
i sometimes have trouble reading social cues and can alienate people easily
I also feel alienated myself, like I am an alien. Like the selfish or ignorant ways a lot of people act come off to me as COMPLETELY insane and i cant perceive why someone would act like that. I do make an effort to be more understanding tho

sometimes I just ignore other peoples feelings about things, other times Ill be OVERLY compassionate and effeminate

like I do these things barely enough to be weird, so I can socialize pretty well for someone with aspergers
I do have empathy, and I dont prattle on. But its still a problem, and it can get in the way of socializing a LOT
ESPECIALLY with women.

also a lot of sensory things like pain are much more intense than normal, and crowded environments can be draining

Ive read on other's experiences. The concensus is that people with asp. dont naturally "get it" and they generally have to act a LOT (whenever they are talking to other people) and it is mentally draining
but a lot of the social skills self help stuff is about just being yourself and confident. I cant do both.
does anyone have experience with this?

I know this place isnt designed for that, but it seems somewhat related

I mean aspergers means we pretty much ENTIRELY act based on logic, and logical emotions, but the emotions are more intense and we cant convey it
RSD talks about nothing BUT shit like this.

You're really doing yourself a disservice with your "self-diagnosis." You can go through DSM and "discover" you have just about every psychiatric disorder in the book.

I saw a documentary on someone with asperger's and it was EXTREMELY obvious he had asperger's. It wasn't very difficult to recognize he had a disorder, a very serious one, of some kind.

I have aspergers. I've been able to get a greater degree of competence socially than any non-PUA neurotypical guy I know, most neurotypical guys can't just walk up to an attractive girl and makeout with her straight away or fuck her the same night, they're also mostly far less confident and charismatic. Charisma, social dynamics and getting girls is a skill just like anything else, having aspergers is not a barrier for mastering these things, at least in my experience as somebody with clinically diagnosed aspergers. Any bullshit about aspies being unable to feel empathy or learn social skills or master this shit is just a bullshit limmiting belief.

i mean I show  ALMOST EVERY symptom to a bit of a lower degree.

like I feel like I HAVE to monitor myself and my own actions, or I do something really obviously strange,
like an unusual opinion/joke or something. Or like Ill get WAY too into interests, but i dont talk forever about it because I cognitively understand nobody gives a fuck

... psychyatrists pretty much cant do anything. Its obvious I have it, obvious enough that going to a psychyatrist sounds redundant
psychyatrists will just give me pills to fuck with my brain if anything
i dont want that

Just about every person I meet in the computer industry exhibits some or many of these symptoms. It is EXTREMELY irritating dealing with these people.

What's happening nowadays is that there are SO MANY a) dumb, illiterate people, and b) socially awkward and/or emotionally underdeveloped people, it's very easy for people who are incompetent in one or even both areas to consider themselves normal, even "cool."

It's really, really sad what's happening to people these days. The average person in the US is extremely fat, quite dumb, has very poor social skills, and is often quite hostile to boot. Fucking terrible.

no you idiot, they make you take a bunch of tests and have therapists/psychologists eveluate you. Then they will refer y ou to a psychiatrist and they will find the best way to treat your disorder.

So unless you want your disorder treated, then STOP Bitchini about your "self proclaimed" disorder
