 Hi,

ok this probably is a wierd question but i want the answer :)

like the topic says; what makes something cool?

I can buy into that you can make everything cool, like Tim says in Transformations about adding words like" of glory" etc after your words. for example the clicker of glory, like he says.

So what are the underlying thing that makes it cool? wanna grasp this concept :)

cheers

what makes something cool is that people want it in there lives. It changes with perspective. The baggy jeans you used to wear become tacky. Cool people can win people over. It depends on how strong your reality is. If you say the glory thing with conviction even though a girl might initially think its stupid you can change her mind and she might start saying it to her friends. I also think if it comes from you it will automatically be cooler than stealing other peoples phrases. It will be your reality not someonelse's.

if you're doing something because you want other people to think you're cool then it's not cool.

Being cool is not things you do, it is the way you behave.
Not being effected by others reality is one way, adapting not reacting is something relevant I heard lately.
Finding your own style and having unique mannerisms is cool. Being passionate about your interests is cool.
Being a leader, even if you have no followers is cool.
Of course motorcycles are cool too!

In my mind, what makes people cool can also be the same that makes them attractive, things like having high status, not giving a fuck about other peoples opinions/judgements, and basically everything that you can find on this site and in videos that makes people attractive.
Then, things like cars, clothes, etc. become "cool" when cool people uses them. Hence the reason why leather jackets and pilot sunglasses might be considered cool, atleast for a while, but becomes tacky when they become mainstream, and everyone wears them just to "become cool" It's the same thing Tyler once mentioned in a video, that having a patch on your face became cool because the rapper Nelly did it. Pretty standard stuff.
Anyway, that's just my two cents, hope it answers your question.
