Uh... Looks matter. Plain and simple. If you think otherwise you're an idiot, in denial or both. Can you improve your baseline? In other words is there a way to improve what you're conventionally considered? Yes. Hit the fucking gym, eat healthy, dress well, get a good haircut, take care of your skin. This shit isnt the holy grail but it will fucking help. Hit the fucking trenches and hit it hard. Be the total package. The perfect you. If you haven't hit that mark there's work to be done. Period. Game will help you handle shit like a fucking ninja. I assume rsd preaches that looks don't matter for multiple reasons. I'll list a couple: 1) itll scare a lot of people away and help them rationalize not even WALKING down this path, which can consequentally reduce the number of consumers/clients rsd will undertake. 2) looks alone won't get go laid, generally speaking. 3) There are legitimate areas to which game can help you improve. So unless you're the total package version of yourself, you can improve.

For every scientific study that concludes "Looks matter," you'll find another one that says, "Not exactly."If you're not in the position to judge, which belief you'd ratehr hold on to? See this: http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2013/10/29/flirting-trumps-looks/This blog cites this article as source of commentaary:http://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-flirt--backed-by-scientific-research-2013-10

When are people going to realize that it's not good business for RSD if they told people that looks do matter?

OP: some things to consider--1) the first paper you cite used a 20 second video. Do you think that status can be communicated via a 20 second video?2) the 2nd paper you cite actually makes a nuanced and IMO interesting point that women's "sociosexual" attitudes predict their preference for facial symmetry. That says nothing about what they'll do in a real-life interaction outside of a laboratory. 3) the 3rd paper you cite used questionnaires, not behavioral data. Do you think that women will say they prefer something other than a physically attractive male?4) the 4th paper you cite is not even a controlled study. They conclude that partner physical attractiveness was the most predictive of attraction. But it also says that the results depended on self characteristics for women and partner (i.e. the woman) characteristics for men. This is probably because on average women are the selectors in mating. You assume that because science is "objective" that it's conclusions are "true". No. If you went out you would see a huge variety of factors other than physical attractiveness at play in attraction.  Kill yourself
