rofl H-bomb im def. incorporating that into my vocab.

I don't really get the obsession people have with building impressive resumes for employers... Imo if you're into the mindset of trying to impress people at human resources you're very likely to settle for a middle-highish income and a 70hour a week job. Yes at the end of your career you will have a pretty big salary and ''high status''.. but that is many years of soul-crushing work. By the time you retire you may not even know what you like anymore and you'll be like my rich fat uncle who runs a big firm; he'll be on vacation in mexico, with waves hitting the sand, beautiful sun, people playing volleyball and he's at the lounge reading unimportant e-mail from his subordinates. Proves you can't have enough of what you don't want..

This is a big generalization of course, and sounds negative, but it represents a decent chunk of young upcoming professionals. Sure there are many ways around this uninteresting path, like working for a start-up and getting massive success, accessing top positions fast.. basically working in an unsaturated market the possibilites are many. But such startups probably won't just hire you just because you've got an Ivy school diploma.. they are looking for creative people who are motivated as hell and these attributes don't necessarily come with the diploma..

Imo human resource people like to hire people with impressive diplomas and curriculums because they're lazy as fuck and that's good preselection for them.. like if the candidate ends up being shitty at his job, they can say ''well I don't understand he's straight from Harvard and got XYZ score..'' and get away without too much negative repercussions. Otoh if they hire some guy from a random school with just average grades, an he ends up being a top performer, they're not so likely to receive congratulations from his boss.. he'll put that on luck.

Now im gonna get a little weird but here's what I think about people being ''impressed'' or giving you ''high status'' because of your job title :

-Yes there are retarded people who think you're a god because you went to Harvard. But most solid, well-rounded people (a.k.a. confident, happy people who have chosen their path in life not necessarily based on money and status, although it can be a side effect) are unconsciously ''impressed' because they're FUCKING GLAD that you do this job, because they would NEVER ever do it no matter what salary or title.. they're like wow im happy this guys wastes his life doing that job because people like myself (happy, confident) would never do it, so nobody would do it and the world would fall apart. They can happily look impressed without it hurting their ego because unconsciouly they see no value in so called high status jobs..

- OTOH, go tell people you make 200k a year playing poker and traveling the world, or that you make the same amount doing internet marketing and working in your underwear from anywhere in the world, now you get A LOT LESS people impressed, because they are unconsciously JEALOUS of that lifestyle (high income low hours). Yes some very cool people will be genuinely impressed but most will be subconsciouly envious.

now that i've written this lovely novel, I wanna tell you that this is just my opinion and that if you don't resonate at all with that ive just said, ignore all this and move on. Im sure there are many happy ivy boys out there too, but im also sure there are happy hamsters running in a wheel all day :P

P.S. does dropping the H-bomb REALLY get you laid? like in make the girl's eyes go bright and wet? or it opens the door up for many dinners at chique restaurants and a meeting with her parents before you even make out with her? If you can honestly tell me H-bombs get you laid consistently, FUCK ALL THIS GAME SHIT i'm going to Harvard

peace,

That being said I understand your pain, because it seems like you've put a lot of effort into it, but what is done is done and focusing over what you have no control on is totally useless. I'm sure you'll find new opportunities and come out of it stronger. Who knows maybe you'd have been ran over by a bus walking to harvard ;p

Dude, who cares.  You are probably gonna be dead in 50 years anyways and your status won't mean jack shit.  Just go to a different school, get your diploma, and work a soul crushing job 80 hours a week like all of the other guys with sweet diplomas.  I knew a guy who went to Harvard once, he was a pretty cool dude and made really good money.  I fucked his girlfriend while he was working late.

in theory, high end jobs with sweet little diplomas are aweome. IN THEORY.

a shit ton of people get the same exact diplomas, because our parents who never went to Uni all tell us to go Uni, to do what they never had the chance to do..

IN PRACTICE, which is where it counts, way too many people are qualified for the jobs you apply to straight out of college, so there's ALWAYS another guy willing to take your job and do more hours for a lesser pay.

nothing to cry about, but yo I remember back in highschool people with ambition to go to Uni thought they'd be driven in limousines straight outta college.. lol

Gotta remember my first day at work for an engineering firm. Was like wtf now im doing this till I die? It has gotten way better over a couple years but anyway I had to stop lying to myself thinking that was gonna make me rich or something

Thanks for this inspirational post. I needed it. I've been so down lately after the rejection; my confidence has gotten so low that I'm having a hard time talking to girls at bars. I guess I envy my friends at Harvard Business who are living the life I fantasize about; they are constantly partying, travelling, hanging around interesting accomplished people, and getting chicks. As a matter of fact, I think they have more fun than even the RSD instructors.

Seriously.

Learn to really have the Nimbus and life will give you whatever you want. Studying pick up gave me such confidence and value that I just landed a sales job where my low estimated income this year is $100,000. My goal is $250,000, and that's only working 6 months out of the year. And the owner of the company is completely confident that I can meet that goal. (side note, the only reason I even can meet that sales quota is because of what RSD taught me). 5 years ago I was a shy little basement dwelling fuck. I don't even have a college degree (yet), not even a bachelor's degree, and these sales companies were falling all over each other kissing my ass trying desperately to get me to work for them instead of their competitor, all because of what RSD taught me.

Take Tyler's book list and read every book on there. Then go to any university, any one, it doesnt matter. Get the knowledge you need from them. Fuck the stupid diploma. Tony Robbins didn't need that. Steve Jobs didn't need that. Owen Cook didn't need that.

What I am saying is this; yes, not having an ivy league diploma will set you back, but it's nothing that learning on your own can't make up for. And furthermore, the skills you will learn getting good at pick up will benefit you far more in life than anything a university could teach you. All the smartest engineers in the world lick the boots of the most charismatic amongst us. Elections are won solely on charisma (its the only fucking way Obama got a second term after fucking up literally every campaign promise he had except for one, and its exactly why that awkward fuck Romney lost, lmfao) In fact, why is JFK seen as one of the best presidents? He didn't even do anything! Lincoln got shot too and that motherfucker FREED THE SLAVES. Yet JFK is more fondly remembered. Why? Becaues he had so much charisma it was pouring out his asshole. Charisma rules this world. RSD teaches charisma.

Also, you said you won't get as much pussy? I have a brother who graduated from Stanford, who gets no pussy. But my Dad dropped out of college. He also went to prison for selling cocaine (it was the 80's). Later on in life he became a millionaire and for most of the time that I have known him he consistently juggled usually around 5 girlfriends at a time, most of them pretty damn hot. He's banged supermodels ok? (His game didn't rub off on me cuz my mom got custody in the divorce, lmfao ((incidentally, I am very glad she got custody. I would not want to be raised in that environment, and thanks to RSD I can make up for the lost lessons anyways)))  Harvard means nothing on the level of you can get. You will get as much as you learn to have the charisma to get. Work hard at pick up, you will fuck tons of bitches, trust me. WAY more than any harvard degree could get you.
