I just had a nice realization and I wanted to share it with you guys. I was reading Anthony Robbins when it hit me.

Lately, I've been having problems with procrastination. I want to exercise, get good with women, get good grades at my uni and get good money from internet marketing. Even though I have made a schedule with the action I should take in order to BECOME this guy that I have in my mind that I want to be, I wasn't following through. And, of course, as a person who is into RSD would do, I started searching for answers non-stop.

I always used to identify with being a smart guy who learns REALLY REALLY fast and when I got into game I actually DID learn fast (one day I found out about RSD and listened to Tim's speech on transformations and the next day I pulled, I actually didn't have sex because she was on her period, but it still counts as a pull, plus, I really really sucked with women before that). Things like that always gave me enough motivation to keep going and I would get devastated and quit if things weren't going well. I recognize I was lucky, but thing is, I ALWAYS get lucky. I always had luck on my side and I don't really think that luck is random. Another time I got lucky, was the first time I went daygame with a friend, first time I ever went out to "game". I got a girl's facebook and we went on a day2 to a cafe and a day3 to her place (I was too scared to make a move but it was still too good for a newbie).

And it's not even on this area that I got "lucky". Many of my friends acknowledge the fact that I'm "lucky" in general but believe that "this guy is lucky by chance, something that can not happen to me". This is not fucking true.

And I wanted to try and explain why these things happen to me.

I am going to call this, "The Chosen One Mentality".

What this means, is that I always had an underlying belief about myself that I am the chosen one. I know this sounds kind of stupid and it's not really something that I usually openly talk about, but I always felt that and I wanted to share it. Just like the chosen one in movies has things happening to him that were not supposed to happen and surprised everyone (examples: "the force is strong with this one", "he got the sword out of the rock!!", "the boy who survived with just a mark on his forehead") I, too, would achieve things I wasn't supposed to achieve and everyone would be amazed at my "luck", which later served as reference experiences to back-up the belief that I was actually the chosen one, or at least lucky. I would also go as far as to question other people's existence, do they really exist as individuals or are they just there to play a role in my life? (this is really far fetched, I know, it's just some thoughts I had).

When I think about it, I also had reference experiences that showed me the opposite, and when these were too many I actually started doubting that I was the chosen one, which would me. I now realize that the mistake here was not that I thought of myself as the chosen one while obviously I wasn't, the mistake was that I let those thoughts create a doubt in my mind. Whenever I was feeling good about myself/positive, I would block these reference experiences, a.k.a. blind spot and I was walking through the world with ease, as Tyler says.

So, I got into RSD, which changed my life. It gave me so many new things to think about, gave me new ways that I would become what I wanted but it basically took from me this mentality, because I learned that it's good to trust in the process and that you need time to get results at this. So, without this mentality, I didn't believe that I could get lucky, which led to me to not getting results and lose my motivation, therefore procrastinate. Don't get me wrong, I believe that these beliefs are true and help you a lot to keep on doing this, I know they helped me a lot! But I let these beliefs "put me in my place", tell me that I'm a newbie and I'm not the chosen one.

What I previously thought was that I could get results in one night, pull even if you are a newbie, even have threesomes and girls that are dying for you, while being relatively new to this. I OWN this game, this game is meant for me, the people around me are going to find out that I'm the chosen one soon, those are the kinds of beliefs that I had when I started. I believe there is a way to achieve great results overnight and that is LUCK. What if you can always have luck by your side? What if every night is "the night for you"? Of course that's not going to happen every night, but again, you have a blind spot for everything that shows you the opposite.

Tolle, Tyler and the other guys talk about suppressing the ego, but what if you have your ego by your side, working with you, providing you with the things you want? You can achieve this by identifying with being the chosen one, as seen in the movies, and having a blind spot for everything that is contradicting.

What the Chosen One Mentality is all about:
- Being ARROGANT when it comes to achieving things. This is key. You believe that you know everything, you guess things you are not supposed to know and if you are right, you are right and everyone is amazed. Reference experience gained. If you are wrong, you were not supposed to know that anyway, another blindspot. (a note on this, don't take your arrogance too seriously, it's mostly a joke, otherwise it gets annoying for other people)
- You are 100% ambitious. You are the chosen one, you can achieve anything. You never played ping-pong before but you can defeat the fucking world champion!! Again, if you can't defeat him (which is probably the outcome), you weren't supposed to be able to defeat him anyway, nobody is going to tell you "see? you couldn't defeat him" and even if they do, they are probably just going to motivate you to try again.
- You LOVE big challenges. A challenge for you is a chance to achieve something that will blow people's minds and therefore prove to them (and yourself) that you are the chosen one, or at least lucky. You are always in the "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED" mindset. (Don't take stupid risks though, it wouldn't be very good for you if you bet your house or your life in something improbable).
- You DON'T GIVE UP! This is fucking obvious, the chosen one never gives up, he doesn't even have a choice.
- Everything is fun for you. Because of the fact that you are challenging yourself so much, taking on challenges that you know you don't have a big chance of achieving, you give it your all and you see it as a joke.
- You IMITATE people that you like and that are good at what you are trying to achieve. You see their behaviours, their body language, their movement, their way of talking and you try your best to do it their way. (I believe that this is not the end goal, you basically find your own style after you become good) This mostly happens subconsciously though. You are so fascinated by the things these people can do and you adopt their behaviours.

A downside for this is, when people see that you think of yourself as the chosen one, they will almost always try to give you reasons why you are not. Those reasons are pretty logical and sound VERY true, they may even PROVE to you that they are right, but you know better. They don't understand that this world is made for you and that you can achieve anything RIGHT NOW without previous knowledge. So again, another blindspot.

Another note on this is, you are not trying to impose this reality on other people, you respect them and treat them properly, you just show them at times what you can do, or how "lucky" you are.

Anyway, this is the whole concept of "The Chosen One Mentality". Hope this helped you, I am not really a writer, but I gave it my all. Tell me what you think!

Some people need a bit more narcissism whereas some people need a bit more humilty to help them in their growth. Ive fluctuated between the two over and over

That's dangerous when it comes to ego, working with ego is kind of dangerous, but possible
I think coming from this frame you will achieve a certain level and then stop growing, but from there, you have to lose ego and stuff to jump to good from best

I believe that it is dangerous only if you take it seriously. Think about it. You assume this crazy identity that is so extreme, it's so far from the reality which society imposes on you, that you really can't take it seriously. And that's exactly what makes it easier to have a blind spot. Are you going to take seriously things that show you that you are not the "Chosen One"? Really now? You will most likely laugh at people who try to "put you in place", because you realize how stupid they are for taking this reality seriously themselves!

I hope this makes sense! :)

CALIBRATION>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I´m the chosen one/I´m the coolest motherfucker in the world/etc and etc.

I have more than enough of "I´m the chosen one" in me, and calibration  trumps all. Feeling that you´re great is definitely not sinonym with game. Game is game, and it´s not thinking highly of yourself.

I like this one mate. I agree with you about the ego, I realized the thing about the ego a few days ago. I also have been using this mindset alot. Ever since I was a kid I always thought that I was the smartest kid ever. I allways knew I was the smartest but I just didnt know how to project my thoughts (Still don't know, but working on it).
Every time I hear people rationalize why something doesnt work or that they want to do someting but cant or saying society sucks but doesnt do anything about their own life to change it, I allways think that they are doing and saying so because that's how the brain works - the brain doesnt want change because it thinks change means dead. It thinks going out of your comfort-zone is going to make you die, so it tells you to not do anything "stupid" and live your ordinary boring life.

And I don't think you were lucky. I think you are (just like me) supposed to "know" certain things. Other people do not understand this kind of things, but don't worry about them, they will be fine. Just keep on fighting.

That's exactly how I felt too! Pretty cool how you find people who think so much like you here!

I don't think this is the only way you get good, whatever mindset you have, I think you are going to get good as long as you keep at it, but the lucky results I got in game (and generally) are based on this mentality, I'm almost certain about it.
