$1500 a month, hahahahahah.

Goals should be big man.  Make that $15,000 a month.  Or, go for broke and make it $150,000 a month.

Making money is easy, and it doesn't require any more work than other jobs.

But, it does take effort to find out what's effective and what isn't effective.

Working 12 hour days is bullshit, especially if you're not getting compensated for it, like ownership shares, etc.  Otherwise, work the regular hours and pursue other goals.

If you have to wor 12 hour days, you're doing it wrong. You should be able to do days work in regular hours.  Otherwise, you're just giving your time away and taking a paycut.

Appreciate all the input. It's a difficult decision though, because the job is what I have sacrificed the prior 3 years of my life working towards. Can you guys who've gone through this choice give me a better picture of how you finally made the decision?

I'm one year into a career which is characterized by long office hours, early mornings, dull work and fucked hierarchy.

I'm trying not to blame work but it's so hard to go on 100% with this PUA transformation journey when you'e tired, your head is fucked and your confidence is trashed every day after 12 hours in the office. At least I have weekends off but as we all know we need constant reference experiences to condition ourself into heroes. Makes me consider leaving this job and pursue happiness instead.

Anyone in the same situation? Success stories? Appreciate support

He works a lot more than 40 hours/week (12 hours/day is 60 hours/week or 84 hours/week if he works 7 days a week).

I commend him for putting in the work but if he wants more free time then he should back out.

Hey dude - I know exactly where you come from. I did 8 hours of work today (A Sunday for fuck-sake!).

First off, if you enjoy your job and see something special in it KEEP DOING IT. Dont listen to these people who are not as driven.
Second off, here are a list of tactics I have been writing for myself to help me keep my quest for while working 50+ hours a week:

1. Merge the your work life and game where possible. Meet girls at work related events, talk to girls in the elevator, during the lunch hour, at any event, on the walk to work etc etc.

2. A prolonged warm up - Warm up for a while first. Dont be afraid to treat the night as just a gathering of friends, and then move forward from there. Dont pressure yourself. Keep things chill, and talk about your work with the girls if necessary before turning up the heat later on. DO NOT make pick up a source of pressure in your life! The job already does enough of that.

3. Realize - Social skills and women are pleasure. Dont let that go. Do you want to be a fat guy who does well at work or a enjoyer? is much more enjoyable. Yes it may be tough and frustrating at times, but the pay off is waaay better. So stick with it.

4. Keep up the momentum. Learn to switch swiftly between work mode and the illogical crazy playfulness of game. This means always have women in the back of your mind. Meeting them serendipitously counts too.

5. Another way to balance social life and pick up is a lunch schedule - See if you can for atleast 1-2 lunch dates a week with new girls. Meet a bunch of them and see if you can go with them and enjoy a lunch instead of eating at your desk. Also, its OK to spend this money, after all you are meeting new people.

6. DONT obsess about what you could have done better or worse after a night of pick up for longer than 30 minutes. Come back here to the forums, write out what you did and your feelings if you dont have a girl with you, and then go to sleep and focus on work. Make a point to do this!

You might not only be pissing away those 3 yrs but the rest of your life as well.  Your 20s are for having fun while setting yourself up to earn beau coup dolares in your 30s-40s.  You really want to be living in some crappy studio apt driving a POS car when your 30, 35, 40?  But of course you'll still be able to pull b/c you got game.

Unless this career is going to be something you will absolutely hate doing then?  At some point you are going to have to realize that work sucks/they call it work not fun for a reason.  Work to make the money to own that house w/ a pool so all your stripper friends can come over and sunbathe naked when your 45.

A LOT o surfers go through this dilemma. Do I put surfing over work while Im young and try to get a job so I can surf everyday or I do I put work over surfing so when Im 30? I can go on trips 1/2 way around the world to surf perfect waves, stay on a posh boat or at a plush resort, etc.

I guess Id say try and start a business related to a passion of yours while you are young but have a backup plan/career and realize not everyone is Bill Gates/Tim Ferris is kinda full of shit (i.e. your business could tank despite your best efforts leaving you w/ nothing to show for it). Or and this has been covered elsewhere, find a career where you will be around a lot of hot snatch (fashion, ?).

This is copied from another post of mine that's buried.

The main point is is that you have reserve tanks of energy (Julien Las Vegas Vid on being exhausted) that you've never tapped into because you've never had to.

When he says reserve tanks, you have 3 or 4. Even right now @ 1am I'm wide awake. I've been up since yesterday. Went out last night , didn't get back in until 530am and got straight to business. Been up since.

I have my own business. I'll work 16 hours days / 7 days a week @ times.. Literally Physically killing myself to make shit happen. I don't fucking care. I'm relatively young and I've got a lot to accomplish. 2 to 3 hours of sleep for WEEKS on end if that's what it calls for. Going out 5 to 7 nights a week pushing it. Dont get me wrong, get as much sleep as you can when you can but don't use it as an excuse.

Doing this schedule @ first your brain will literally throw fits @ you but eventually this will make you extremely mentally strong.

The same way you discipline your mind to work @ your job when tired is the same angle you take when you go out. The mind becomes very weak when exhausted. It may throw feelings of impending doom if undisciplined or that true "I don't care , I'm going for it" mindset once you you recognise your own thought patterns for what they are. Typically bullshit.

You must force your brain to get on track. Once it knows there is NO other option, it just gives up, stops fighting, and gets with the program. Once this actually happens you can do some pretty amazing shit in field.
As Julien stated, Do not trust in your faculties. Your mind will fucking LIE to you and give you every rationalisation to not do what you gotta do, LIKE YOUR POST. You must discipline your mind. Once your in the bar you have to be relentless. The first girl you see. GO. No questions asked. Jeffy made a vid a while ago about the flight manual. Your brain will stop resisting the situation and will be FORCED to work in your favour.

I took julien's advice. Swiss Char, Spinach, Broccoli, and Kale. Juice it. You will feel like GOD.
Clarity of thought and it's great for your skin and hair too. It's like swagger in a glass.

One more thing. You are making a very big deal about this. Calling it a PUA transformation journey??? Fuck that. You're going out and talking to girls. Nothing less nothing more.  You're confidence is trashed? That shit's in your head.  NOTHING will build confidence quicker than going out and facing whatever fears and insecurities you have.
