I agree.

The videos are oftentimes boring and I my attention just fades away.
On the other hand the content is good he appears to be one of the best instructors. See reviews. Weird.

I almost only watch videos of Tyler, Julien and Jeffy. Entertainment + Infos.

everytime i see ops name, i get hungry

also

I find his videos excellent, straightforward and not boring at all. The amount of value he provides is sick as Gsaad says.
He is not trying to entertain, but to provide clear useful info.

I think his articles are much better than his videos. Nevertheless he's putting out shit ton of free content which is seriously amazing. I dont know what motivates someone to pretty much give everything they've worked for away for free.

Fully prepared for the inevitable wave of RSD fanboys hating me for saying this, but I cant really listen very long to his stuff its just boring, some of his vids are epic especially the shorter ones when he cuts the shit and gets straight to the point, but on a lot of them he just mumbles on for ages and it all becomes a grey goo of sound...

What annoys me is that there is so much value in there but its always buried in 10 tons of verbal crap.

Alex I for one respect everything you've given us too much over the years to let this go unnoticed, fix this because you videos are too long and your public speaking is just not on the same level as your contemporaries, the value gets lost in the grey soup.

Much love, You are better than this.

+1 not hating though. Alex have had better times.

I get what everyone is saying. He does kind of ramble sometimes. BUT the few longer, recent videos he put out are AMAZING! They could be hard to follow since they don't have structure. You'll notice a lot of public speakers set it out so that a retard can figure out what the main points are. Whereas Alex just has a conversation with himself and vomits what is going on in his head. And I realllyyy resonate with his 2 hour video. I think about it everyday, and review my notes from it all the time.

I just checked a few of his videos and they are fine, it is actually better for you that they are formatted like that.

In pickup, it is not "new data" what you need to learn, you need to transform into the best you can be, little by little, through a long period of time.

By listening to the conviction of his belief and the way he hammers the same idea in different ways through your head, you have a better chance to actually get what he is communicating.

If you just go by the plain info, textbook advice, you just won't get it, unless you gain the same reference experience he has. Which at this point it will be very hard to do.

You will have to read all the books he read, travel to all the countries he went, teach all the bootcamps he thought, and meet all the people he met or of similar level to the people he met.

Alex is trying to influence you into be a more calibrated, cool guy, no one wants to make you weird and creepy, it will be bad for the company and for him because he works for the company.

If he just gives you data, you will be creepier instead of cooler. What helps you is influence, not data.

There's nothing wrong with his style. Tyler is particularly wrong in his criticisms. There is not a "correct" format for making a video blog.

Agree with all of this.  Its hard to watch Alex's videos as a result even though I know there is alot of value in them.  #nohating

Tyler's tips are just his personal preferences, not some sort of best practices. If he didn't run the company there would be no reason to even consider them.
