Language in pickup
This is really interesting. I think it might have to do with the fact that your native language becomes a kind of fescue
or native psychological habitat you become entangled in. Language, words ARE what your thought processes are made of.
So, when you're thinking or speaking in your native language, you're treading the same psychic paths that are habitual
I.E. you're following currents of self-doubt, insecurity, neurosis etc. which are absent, not reinforced or hammered into
your brain when you're speaking/thinking in English. I often wonder, if a writer set out to write the same story in two different
languages, if he would have gone down the same narrative paths,if the story would have come out the same. Writing, or imagining
something in two different languages, it travels a different path, it becomes a different thing. I am really into poetry,
and people say that poetry is what is lost in translation, and while I don't exactly agree, I understand the point when people say this.
Pablo Neruda is Pablo Neruda because he's from South America and he writes in Spanish. His entire way of thought would be
different if he wrote in English. He could not attain the same tones and associations in English.
The sound of words are percussive and sonorous, they are imitations of sensations from real life. Different languages have different
emotional resonances. For instance, many words in Spanish have vowels on the end, which is not at all common in English.
German is very guttural. People associate French as being romantic or Spanish as hot. Women can have physical reactions,
get turned on by the music of other languages even if they have no fucking idea what you're saying. Words, tonality
are maybe the most powerful tool you have in pick up. You can really affect women, rig up
different emotional states in them if you are good with words and can paint a picture. It's almost like singing.
What I'm trying to say is, you are something of a different person when you are speaking English because you
are basically using a different mind. Not completely different, but different enough. The negative thought processes
aren't as dominant when you switch paradigms to this different language/mind/person.

It is because, since your english is not as strong as your swedish, you are forced to be more charismatic when speaking english.

Just figured I need to vent about this, perhaps someone in here has got some input that would make some sense.
I've been "gaming" for roughly a month now and I've noticed something odd.
Now, I'm swedish and I'm currently living in sweden, swedish is the language I speak mostly during my days but I do speak plenty of english as well.
When I've met women out at clubs there's almost always been one non-swedish chick, which means I've been forced to speak english and by god I have no idea why the hell I feel so smooth and pimp when I'm speaking english, it's my 3rd language for gods sake and even chicks from England and so on are suddenly so amazed by the fact that I speak english very fluently. But mostly, I feel no AA or anything, nothing standing in my way when I'm speaking english. However, once I have to speak swedish to someone I feel nowhere close to being a boss, I just stand there and shiver.
I'm as said very new to this, last time I ever hooked up with someone was 4 years ago with my now ex-gf and now I've basicly been without sex and anything for over a year. So why is it that while I have to speak english I feel basically no fear, yet when I'm speaking my daily "main" language I'm scared shitless?
Anyone experienced anything similar?
