Testosterone Weakening Your Immune System, how to deal with that?

Similarly to a lot of guys here I have chosen a lifestyle that pumps my testosterone A LOT (be that a goal in itself or a side-effect).
I lift weights, take cold showers, eat paleo, have tons of sex. Even taking massive action and being decisive pumps our testosterone.
However, I have encontered a serious problem with that lifestyle. Basically, testosterone suppresses our immune system. One of the many articles on that: www.news-medical.net/news/2004/11/08/6138.aspx
And not surprisingly, I get sick and catch colds quite often.

Since there are a lot of guys like me on this forum, did any of you experience the same? Could you list some of the practical ways you've found to deal with this problem?
For example, I had to FORCE myself not to take cold showers, despite it feeling fucking awesome, because it's just too easy to get sick.
How the does Tyler manage to get sick so rarely, especially on very low sleep? He said something like that in his vids.

 Tyler eats lots of vegetables and greens.  He's really into the green smoothie thing.  I think he basically conquered it through diet.

I think you're probably getting sick from making out with tons of girls (where probably some just happen to be getting sick or getting over something or whatever) and you're putting a lot of stress on your body, not because your testosterone is high.

Cold showers are stressful on your body.  Similar to how you're supposed to wear a jacket to avoid catching a cold.  There may be tons of benefits as well, but it's definitely stressful on your body in the short term.

Lifting weights also put stress on your body.  If you don't take a break every once in a while your body is going to get worn out.  You might be over training.

If your sleep schedule is fucked up from going out all the time, that will also put your body under a lot of stress.


1. Eat more vegetables/greens/liver/foods packed with micro nutrients .
2. Every couple months take a week off of weight lifting to avoid over training.
3. Sleep more (yes, you'll have to sacrifice things to make this happen)

 I read that article and I think it is bullshit. All these institutes and cancer foundations are all controlled by special interest groups all about making $. There may be some credibility to that article but i dunno dude, without testosterone u basically cant even live, the body needs it to survive.

There are also plenty of studies out there that show that low testerone causes cancer, it means there is something wrong.

I've read a lot of health books and the underlying cause of all disease is bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, pathogen, chemicles, etc (TOXINS) when u have too much toxins thats when the body gets out of wack, hormones, immune cells, and organs start to malfuntion and the toxins take over which causes cancer.

wash your hands very often and never touch your face with unwashed hands (youd be surprised how many times you touch your face in a single day). You will still get sick but it helps a ton.

Actually, that was just a random link I quickly found on the topic.
It's a well-known scientific fact, I originally got it from R.Dawkins book ("Selfish Gene"). The dude is one of the biggest researchers on evolutionary biology and human mating strategies, so I guess he knows what he's talking about.

 Diet is going to be key. Make sure you are eating enough food to allow your body to function properly. Lots of vegetables, lots of fruit (I take a concentrated greens supplement to help) Costs around ~$1.50 per day and makes you feel fucking amazing. Although if you have the time/resources I'm sure eating the ACTUAL vegetables would be better for you. 

EDIT: Ya this has nothing to do with higher testosterone. It's the lifestyle of making out with dozens of girls, no sleep, going to dirty bars and etc.

 Richard Dawkins looks like a scrawny faggot, I do not believe that testosterone weakens your immune system, in fact, since I've been working out hardcore I NEVER get sick. Show me some study that confirms this, otherwise I simply do not believe this.

SLEEP never gets discussed here, and it's better that way because the last thing we need is reasons for NOT going out... but the truth is that following your circadian clock is vital, and can really compromise everything else that you're doing right, like diet and workout.

Okay, I have been lurking forever, but this post annoys me. Not because of the OP, but because it's yet another example of a study's results being bastardized by media.

Yeah, testosterone does weaken the immune system: the Th2 arm of the immune system, which is overactive in 99% of people in modern society and is the reason for pretty much all auto-immune problems, from asthma to eczema to allergies to dandruff.
We can all do with this arm of the immune system being weakened.
