I have a wing who does the double claw in nearly every set he approaches. He's a maniac and lovesss to hit it up. It's a lot of fun cruising out with him. He gets many many many quick make outs a night. He's a 6'4 ROTC cat with a gigantic wingspan as well w hich is hilarious. I however do not claw like him right off the opener, I have many times but not nearly as much as him or others. I still get a little nervous, no bueno I know but I don't care. It's jsut not me. This is what I do do however and love it. I've found it works EXTREMELY well.

I believe I got this from Tim. So after I've opened a chick and talked to her for a second I'll whip this out to really hook the set. If she says anything, and I mean anything that's somewhat cool I'll be like "no way, I'm making you my girlfriend for the next five minutes" followed by a claw and stick it. If a girl is down for you at all she'll reciprocate big time and it's a little bit less direct than opening with the claw. It helps you also get in a perfect position to make out. I can't tell you how many times I've had gotten a makeout with a chick  within 5 minutes of opening her with this. It's extremely playful and flirtacious yet fun for the both of you at the same time. i fucking love role playing and have started to see the powers of it more and more each weekend. As long as you make strong eye contact while in this you can do all kinds of things like "how would we hold hands", "you're the cutest gf", "we're breaking up, how are you going to get me back (bam make out)".

What are y'alls thoughts? I still rock the claw on the approach every now and then but if you're trying to calibrate a little then try this. Big ups to Tim, guy is insane.
