Konstantine,

A couple months ago you helped me out figuring out this exact same situation you're in.

Let me tell you where I am now.

I'm 19. I dropped out of my CC after just attending 2 quarters. I attended the MMI thing you suggested and now run my own business and making profit.

My dream is to travel around the world and just do pick up and fuck hot bitches all over the world just like what you told me yours was... Let me just say I am close to reaching that dream.

Here is what you wrote to me that I basically guided through my decision, I hope you can follow your own advice:

Here's the truth: You don't learn shit in college. You don't even remember wtf the whole semester was about 3 days after finals. You are not your college and you are not your major. Also, going to college to study X, Y, or Z doesn't mean you'll be successful as well.

I can tell you that, once you find out what your passion is, everything will be easier. Right now, I'm finishing my last 3 semesters off. I'm taking 21 credits and have been taking 21 credits since the fall. I have such good Academic game that I can manage all of this and still run my business. I just closed a 3k design deal on thursday. I might close another 3k design deal on tomorrow.

How can I do all of this? Cuz I got a good reason. I hate having a boss. I can't stand to follow someone around. I can't stand to sell my soul from 9-5 for a paycheck. I also can't stand waking up in the mornings (I'm a night owl).

I've gotten fired 3 times and only had 3 jobs in my life. The last time was because they caught me clocking-in, taking off to get my oil changed, and coming back. lol.

I realized that the problem isn't me or that I'm a terrible employee, it is that employment isn't for me. I'd rather be take my financial life into my own hands.

I also wanna bang mad chicks and travel the world. Imagine how cool it would be to travel the world FOREVER. You only need $66/day in passive income to do that. That's not a lot.

And because of not wanting a boss and because I want to beast forever, I take 21 credits and run a business.

You see, its all easy. Its all a game and, if you have good game, it's easy to win.

Yo OP, you can either live under social conditioning or you can live your own life.

Social conditioning route: Go to college, study some major, get a job, work 9-5 for 40 years, retire, die.

Your own life: Go beast hard, have a source of passive income, pursue your passions.

Both options are VERY different from each other and you can't be half in one and half in the other.

From reading your post, it sounds like your issue isn't you don't know what you wanna do, it is that you don't have a reason WHY you should do something.

The only reasons you have why you should do X, Y, or Z is because your parents want you to have a good paying job. Thats a terrible reason.

"The bigger the WHY, the smaller the HOW" they say. Like, if someone has a good reason to lift up a car (such as to pull their child from underneith) they can do it as if its a miracle and lift the car up.

I think you should sit back and not look at HOW's but WHY's. Like, WHY do you want a job (if you even want one) or why do you even want to go to school or why do you want money?"

Find out what your purpose is in life. Then pursue it to the bitter end. If you are sure of your central mission, there is no weighing of pros and cons. Do you think Owen had to poll people on the forums to start his business? He just did it. Along with successful people. Search your core for your true purpose, be honest with yourself, then ask if staying in school is helping you get there. You are asking the wrong questions OP.

lol I actually know a lot of people here IRL
It doesn't matter. You are the master of your fate. You are the captain of your soul. It is your life and you should be asking yourself these questions. It's really nice to get guidance and I have sought out the people I love for encouragement before, but I don't think you should leave a major life decision in the hands of someone else. I think you should ask yourself what path will bring you more deep and rewarding happiness in the long term.

I don't see what's wrong with asking for advice on an important life decision. Too many people are saying "durrr Just do what you want to do bro." As if Howard roarks philosophy should be taken 100% seriously all the time. That being said, I also have a semester left and am feeling the same way about college. I'm not getting paid to go like konstantine is, but I decided to finish what I started. It's only one more semester.

Kons, I would stay in College in your situation. I quit college and would not go back but my school wasn't that great in the party environment and I was living with my parents. I needed a full time job (or be self employed working full time) to be able to afford leaving & and being able to party 5+ nights a week and travel when I want.

I think in your position you can have the best out of college. I might go back one day but I'll definitely get more into the party scene and other extra curricular activities to get involved with people but at the same time I would rather just focus on making $$... But maybe I can find a program I would enjoy, business school is a joke.

Education for school is great for credibility if you are going to corporate job.

I can graduate in December with a degree in Psychology (a joke of a degree). Or, I can stay in school for another 2 years to get a degree in Psych and Business.

Things To Consider:
-Because of my Scholarship Jiu-Jitsu, I actually MAKE MONEY going to school (like they pay me 6k a year to get a 3.0gpa).
-I go to a school that was rated Best Party School 2011 by PlayBoy.
-I live at the heart of where all the parties are.

Other Things To Consider:
-I could care less about a degree.
-I want to travel and see the world but... dude... girls at my school are SOooooo hot.
-Boulder is a semi-small city and you become infamous quite fast...

You need to "follow your heart" on this one.

P.S. A business degree is ALSO a joke degree. If you don't know what you're doing after college, your soft-skill degrees are a joke.
