Girls stare at me sometimes

So I get this every once in a while where a girl holds her gaze with me and I hold it back, but then it turns into some kind of weird staring contest and I wonder why these girls look at me.  It makes me nervous sometimes.  Does this ever happen to anyone else or does anyone have any idea why girls might be staring at me like this?

 Yeah I too notice girls will stare at me when I'm in conversation with people. Probably because I'm usually having a fun conversation(i'm usually pretty expressive and loud when I'm feeling good), and I guess they admire it and are probably attracted to it.

if you REALLY observe it, youll notice that they are ALWAYS staring at you or giving you quick glances then trying to look away....it might even trip you out a little

They like to try and avoid eye contact too.  After I know they've seen me. And yes it does trip me out a little. lol
