I usually have better results with contacts, but I like to mix it up and wear glasses.
My face looks bad with glasses and I can only pull off a very specific type of glasses. Sucks balls but I try not to care.

Yo man, I wear contacts and glasses.
I mostly go out with contacts, but a few times I went out to the bars / clubs with glasses - I hated it, had a bad time, felt like a dork. First off, maybe getting a "hip" frame would help a bit.
A fun expirement you might wanna try, is to wear your contacts, and buy glasses with no correction to them - see how that might change your frame. Then eventually transitioning to only glasses with correction.
Suppose it could work with hipster art school chicks, though good luck with typical club chick.
But yeah, I don't like going out in glasses, I feel vulnerable.

I've been wearing glasses since Gr.6, never worn contacts in my life. I can't relate with this issue you're having at all.

I deliberately found the most dorky glasses I could. They're slightly too big for my head. They're bulky and plastic. They make me look like the consumate nerd.
The thing about these glasses is that they force my self confidence to be bulletproof. If I have the slightest insecurity, I look like a totally awkward dude. But, when I am totally confident, these glasses are the coolest thing ever. On my good nights, at least once a night (usually more), I have girls telling me how much they love them and trying to take them off of me and wearing them. A lot of times girls will open me on them.
On my bad nights (and at this point, there are still more bad nights than good nights), I still get called nerd and dork; the blowouts are frankly brutal, and a lot of time it feels like they focus in on my glasses as something to blow me out over.
I know that it's not the glasses themselves; the glasses are just something that people latch onto, to rationalize. It's all in my emotional state. But the thing about these glasses is that they're so ridiculous that they always force my hand. If I'm not 100% on my game, it's fucking brutal. If I am, then I'm the guy who is so suave and cool and confident that not only to ugly glasses not look terrible on me, they look sexy.
So you might want to get some specs that are really bold, just because it forces you to be on your game by really hitting you over the head when you're not.

I think I remember reading something from Jeffy awhile back where he said he purposely dressed up as nerdy as possible to show that it had no effect on his game.

Europeans and hipsters wear glasses and it actually improves their game because it gives them more style, they stand out from the crowd more.

I usually wear contacts, but now I'm wearing glasses since I'm getting Lasik on Monday. It has affected shit for me...except when I makeout with chicks I bump my glasses in their face since I'm not used to wearing them lol
i have glasses but i never really wear them outside, mostly out of habit. I've worn them to the club a few times out of curiosity and did the same face bump thing as drama lol. Last time i wore them out was on bootcamp so i could see the sets Ozzie pointed out, but they really make no difference.

I feel really confident about myself and shit, but when I'm wearing my glasses, I lose some of it. I feel like I look like a cool guy without glasses and that goes away almost completely when I'm wearing them. It probably also has to do with the fact that I was teased about them relentlessly for years during elementary- and high school when I was a kid and all that. I still go up to girls and approach them in the same way I do when I'm wearing my contacts (i.e. I do shit most guys don't), but I just feel like I look kinda dorky with them. I hardly ever have success this way, but you know, I still go for it when I feel I should. Always. No excuses.
When I'm wearing my contacts, I don't have this issue at all. I feel like I'm the fuckin' man. I know that's the easy solution, but I feel I should feel awesome all the time, regardless of assecoires. Plus I have seasonal allergies and contacts simply aren't an option during this time.
And don't get me wrong, I know it's horse shit. I have a friend who wears fake glasses because he thinks it looks cool. He's into the whole hipster look.
Are there any other guys here that are having the same issue? Anyone some tips for me?
