Hello.

Some quick stats : I'm 18, full primal except some diary and potatoes, don't drink alcohol, training convict conditioning 4days/week + the fives rites of rejuvenation daily.

I'm having some problems with my sleep. I always feel shitty waking up. There were only a few days in my life when I felt good waking up. All refreshed and fully rested. That's how I want to feel every day.

I meditate daily 10mins after waking up and 20mins before bed, no electronics lights etc 30min before bed. I have no major problems falling asleep. Usually I drop dead.

I go to sleep at 22:30 pm and wake up at around 7. I've tried using Sleepyti.me but doesn't seem to do much.

I sleep in a dark room, no noise, fresh air.

Any ideas ? If you need any other information I'd be glad to provide it. Thank you.

I've had sleeping issues for the last three years, I know my body needs the full 10 hours, stupid body clock...
Been taking 5-HTP, the extra serotonin gets rid of the morning headache with deeper sleep.

Sleep problems are serious I'd say EFT that shit. I used to be unable to fall asleep but today I fell back asleep twice (at 4:00am and at 5:30) after being woken up by my kittens.

Thanks EFT!

You could add some additional "extras" like earplugs and better pillows/bed...
But yeah - you're already doing pretty much lots of healthy stuff like that. So i think this issue needs another type of solution.

Have you tried magnesium? Maybe you're deprived on it. High magnesium foods are seeds, beans, wheat, nuts... most of which you don't seem to consume. My suggestion is: hit the Almonds, Spinach and Beans hard every day, madafaka - and yes you CAN consume beans with Low-Carb diets because the GI (Glycemic index) is so low - they actually don't act as most carbohydrates and thus you can eat all you want of them every day. I say - don't go overboard but make sure it's at least a decent amount.
Also - buy some magnesium vitamins and some minerals as well if you have the money. Take the magnesium 1h before bed. I don't remember the amount in mgs you need to take but i wouldn't suggest you to read about that in the common goverment internet guides - doctors usually have it all wrong.
I will try to find out about the dosage from my friend who's very into that (and into healthy lifestyle, no drugs or steroids, hardcore training) and reply again :).

I've tried eargplugs for a bit. Only helped a bit with falling asleep but now I have no problems with that.. During the night they get unconfortable and make me sleep poorly.
Truth is they aren't good quality, it's hard to find good ones around here and not worth it I guess.

True story about other type of solution. I was thinking about sleeping in a hammock.Heard good stuff bout it. Too bad I still live with my folks and can't drill holes in my shitty bricks apartament.

I haven't tried magnesium yet. Been thinking about it. Not really a big fan of supplements but I'll probably get some soon.

Oh and yea forgot about beens/legumes I used to eat em but lately I've kinda dropped them since they don't make me feel well and bloat me. I eat nuts everyday, walnuts, almonds, caju, pistachio whatever I can get my hands on.  Also lots of spinach.

Thanks.

do you wake up with an alarm, or naturally? i'd almost say you're sleeping too long, but it depends on your cycles

do you sleep the whole night through or wake up at like 6 and go back to sleep?

I use an alarm or else I would wake up late and that makes me feel bad. I enjoy my early mornings.  I've also done a whole summer waking up with an alarm at 06:00 and going to bed at 22:30. Same shit, didn't feel any better.

I sometimes wake up thoughout the night, for like seconds because of a bad dream or something.

do you need to get up at 7? or could you just set your mental alarm? i used to not use an alarm when i worked a flexible job, and i was pretty refreshed as i'd wake up naturally rather than being jolted out of my cycle. eventually i could kinda make myself wake up at a certain time, or around that point

you might also be going to bed too early. i think people have a natural sleeping time and don't feel right if they don't abide by it. mine is probably 1 or 2am, but at the moment i have to go to sleep around 11 which kinda sucks

During holiday I don't really need to, but I want to as I said before. My mental alarm doesn't really seem to work I tell you. I'd love to wake up naturally feeling all good to go.
