Hey so I just recorded what I thought was a breakthrough video yesterday, but had similar audio issues to the Vegas Free Tour (the one below).  It's totally disheartening this happened again but I was curious how much you guys notice it.

(This one was messed up by microphone signal interference, whereas the one from yesterday the sensitivity was set too high so it slightly distorts when I speak loudly.)

Do you find you just zone out after a while and adjust to it and not notice, or do you think when a video comes out like this it's worth re-recording?  I tend to be a perfectionist and I wonder if this irrationally tilts my judgement towards being too critical, or if it's somewhat unprofessional and worth redoing a topic if this occurs.

Personally I remember watching my first ever Ken Wilber video online and the sound wsa tinny because it was recorded without a microphone, and I wound up losing attention and not watching it.  Then from that one impression I never watched another one of his vids, which I think is funny how our human brains work on that since I've heard nothing but cool things about the guy.

I'd assume different people have different opinions on this, but was curious what YOUR thought are.  Thanks!

I guess this is bound to happen a few times but man just listen to other podcats/videos online and the sound is totally shitty most of the time. Your videos are fine

I notice it but doesn't really bother me. I can imagine a few people getting angry and throwing their mice at the screen, but  I can filter it out and focus on your content. But then again, i'm a really good listener

Thanks for posting these,.. I feel like i'm one of those who couldn't be fucked to hear another piece of pick up advice but still find value in these

Edit:
{
Just wanted to make sure there is no misunderstanding. I had watched the video earlier and the sound was OK for me. I replied  to your question by proposing options, should you want to do something, because that would be possible.
But for me you don`t have to change anything. The only thing I would suggest you consider: If you have audio problems regularly, it is pretty likely that one time you have a speech you want to put out but the audio there is too bad by your standards. That could happen.

It`s not free, you have to know how to use it and it costs time or money to do it yourself or hire somebody.
But I have been editing audio for years and know what is available. This is amongst the best apps out there for this kind of job. Kind of overkill to buy and learn though for some youtube videos. On the other hand this is you present your company to the world.

I can live with some audio glitches. In this clip here the noise is indeed annoying because it happens so often (at least in the section that I jumped in to check the audio). You have to keep in mind that you can edit out noises, but if the signal with the voice is not there, you cannot bring it back in any case.

As a backup you could wear a lightweigt audiorecorder. They are getting really small now, are inexpensive and have microphones. If you like I can check 2-3 reviews in pro audio mags and make a recommendation. Depends of course how much you would be willing to spend.
With that you would always have another audio copy that can be edited into the video.

Content over audio quality any day.
Would only be annoying if every vid had shit sound, but I for one am not so spoiled as to complain over one vid.
We will survive.

Didn't bother me at all I barely noticed it.... get it posted!! :)

I love Ken Wilber he's awesome, I've got his book Integral Life Practice which I'd highly recommend getting and his audio set Kosmic Consciousness is great too.

This vids one of my favourites, I know your into meditation and state training so you might like it...

I'm a self hating fag so I'm gonna say that your audio quality ruined the experience for me.

Srsly tho, as long as I can hear your voice I f*ing love your vids bro (woooo! tyler!)

I didn't think it was bad at all.

I don't think anyone who is already into your stuff would mind, however if you do suspect a new guy might be so impatient that he would be turned off by the occasional static I would make the intro shorter, since the same impatient person might get discouraged by its length and give up.

For the people who know you deliver quality content, it won't be more than a little nuisance. Doesn't bother me too much.

For people who have never heard of you, on the other hand, it creates a little "barrier" to them watching the video. Will they watch it nevertheless? I don't know. But I find it extremely clever you put a couple of seconds explaining the problem in the beginning of each video that isn't perfect - that way that explanation is linked to the vid whereever it may go, and other users (eg random youtube audience) know that it's usually better sounding/ looking content you deliver.
