THE FORUMS
This is a very articulated post, coming from a seemingly very smart poster.
Thank you for this. I put it in my list, and I'm gonna re-read again.
It especially resonated with me because I've been involved in the same kind of endeavour, and I can vouch for almost everything you wrote here. Same experiences, same conclusions, for the most part.
Your post gives me a few ideas I need to work on.
***
Your habit list is interesting. As a coincidence, it is exactly what I was working on these days.
(FYI, and to add to the discussion, this is the current state of the list I'll be focusing on in the following months:
-Personal management (goal settings, journalling,...)
-Have a good sleep
-Exercise
-Good diet and cooking
-Green smoothies
-Feeling good, draw state and happiness from within
-Meditation
-Read
-Write
-Optimize social circles (Keep track of the people I know, make masterminds, build circles, etc)
-Get laid often
-Cold showers
-Positivity
-Library / Information Day (I spend a few hours every week in a place where a lot of information is offered, and I read and listen to anything that interests me in the moment - serendipity day)
-Process mindset (I view everything as a result of my actions, every outcome is the result of a process)
***
I take from your list:
-creative recreation
-reasonable spending (which should be a part of personal management for me)
-brain buster (had to look it up, tried a few, it's stimulating)
-practice a new language
***
For the implementation part, I've found that taking one at a time on a long enough period of time is way more efficient than taking a bunch at the same time.
IMO it's KEY to focus on one habit eveyr 3-4 weeks, and make them compound over time.
When I did the contrary, NOTHING STICKED.
***
Your "falling apart" part is so true it made me smile.
***
I think you should elaborate a bit on the meta-meta-cognition part. I'm not sure of what level you're talking about, and of the practical application of it.
***
I hope this will generate a good discussion on a topic I am fond of, and very interested in.
Thank you again.

I liked everything but the spreadsheets. Makes things robotic.
Are you F-ing kidding me? This is HUGE VALUE, thank you very much. You deserve a cookie.

Yeah this looks great. Dont suppose you have it in a word file that you can upload so I we can print it out do you? Quite a bit to read online.
My $0.02: i used to really organize my time but then i found it was getting micromanaged... you can fall into a trap where u spend more time planning all the details of your day than executing them...
i am way more successful when i have a few goals for the day or tasks, but don't assign them to time slots... 16 things is a lot buddy i hope it works for u based on ur effort... i find specializing in 2-3 things at one time, if not only 1, is how i'm most effective...
hard to have that laser vision on 16 things that are often unrelated

I've been thinking about my habits, and I think it's the key to succeed in life. There's so much you can do in a day, it's something one realises after a day without Internet or TV.
What do you study? Just wondering ;)
