Yeah, you'll have to ask him about the deadlift comment.

My guess is because it's mostly a lower back workout, and some legs, neither of which are going to help you fill out a shirt.

Again, my entire life revolves around gaming hoes and nightlife, so all I care about is filling out a button down shirt or v-neck.

Who cares what my jeans look like, and I don't wear leprechaun pants like Julien, so legs aren't as much of an issue.

I always laugh when I hear guys worrying about getting disproportionate in the gym, or getting too big.

I used to think that shit at one point, but seriously, unless you are taking roids, or maybe a pretty short dude, you've gotta work your fucking ass off to look super jacked to a detriment.

My own routine actually DOES include a leg day.  But that's cuz I actually was starting to realize I was a bit "top heavy," especially my skinny ass calves.

So I started doing calves 3-4 times a week at the end of workouts, and squats/leg presses more than once a week.

It's pretty easy to balance your work out when you are going that regularly, but that is like the 10% who will go that far.

I guarantee 80% of the guys who read that regimen, won't last more than 2-3 months in the gym consistently.

Which is also what Dubbaldown was probably thinking.  Get the goods while you're there...

I hope you don't really eat that many meals a day. What a pain the ass. Why not just eat three big meals? It makes it so much more enjoyable and less of a hassle.

Lol at the guy who made the post about digesting protein. I have one meal with no protein at all meaning I eat 100grams at my other 2 meals. I'm doing pretty good.
For me it's purely a lifestyle situation.

More often than not I only eat ONE meal.  With shakes, lunchmeat, and an omelette or other protein based meal to quench appetite.

But it's also a matter of if I'm on the road, traveling, at home, if I worked out, if I didn't, if I'm heading to a restaurant with friends, so I'm not nearly as routine as some have the ability to.

Like I said, I try to get one awesome, huge, high protein meal during the day, and surround it with more protein to get my grams, and also trying to get close to a 16 hour fast, as I'm more focused on fat burn than huge mass building at the moment.

"Big shoulders, big arms, lean six pack abs are things that women go a little crazy for…"

Then there's no mention of abs in the workout confused

If you aren't wearing swim trunks regularly it shouldn't be a problem. I do squats and presses to get a better ass. Hoes notice that shit :)

doing legs helps you get a big in general

if you only focus on your upper body you will quickly reach a plateau

big compound lifts like deadlift and squat stimulate testosterone and growth hormone - which helps build your entire body

you want your workouts to be based around four core lifts - deadlift, squat, bench and overhead press

this also saves time in the gym as they are compound movements which work multiple muscles at once

5/3/1 for life

I have rotator cuff tendonitis from swimming in high school over 3 years ago.
it still hurts when I do any pushing exercises.
I can't do bench press, lat pulldown, and anything that is similar in motion.

Is there anything that is comparable to a bench press or chest exercise that doesn't involve that pushing motion?
thanks.

I love squats and deadlifts. When I was working out I could lift girls up who were way bigger than me without breaking a sweat (I'm 5'7 and pretty light). Biggest girl was over 6ft and thick, though my forearms (of all things) nearly buckled
