Comes down to very arbitrary things that happen early in their childhood. Like Tyler says in the BP, maybe the kid steps up in class, or in the playground at recess, and it works out; he gets a positive reference experience out of it. This creates a positive feedback-loop and by the time he's 17 he's getting laid.

I don't know. My little brother is pretty damn good...
He's not extroverted AT. ALL! Not at all. Growing up, I wondered if he would be able to make friends because he and I were kinda exactly the same. I'm the girl version, he's the boy version, lol. In the end (up to this point), being that quiet guy has worked out very well. There's something about him that all his little girlfriends can't get enough of.
I think definitely a sense of "I trust this guy" -- whether he's fun and extroverted or quiet and mysterious. During the interaction, a sense of trust is triggered somehow.

At times, I feel I have this switch if I can trigger this social trigger I feel very relaxed, at ease. But in my natural state I am just so nervous, negative, full of anxiety. As I grew older, I became aware of everything going on, but when I was young I didn't focus on anything but enjoying life. Can you guys shed some light on this? Thanks!
