Fa sho. Definitely do it separately. With meditation, stick to good ole conscious breathing, feeling the inner body, and watching the thinker.

Also, do visualizations in your everyday activities (i.e., while you're talking to girls, lifting, running, whatever it is).

Visualizing, btw, is more of a way to mentally approach things, rather than an actual activity. It shouldn't be strenuous.

As far as I know - and this can be completly wrong, since it could be hear-say (heresy?) - if you visualise while lifting weight, you get better gains. Like, if you concentrate on the actual muscles you are tryign to work while working them, in your mind and shit like that. Also, this could be wrong, but I THINK I rememebr reading soemwhere about an experiement with lifting weight, and that a dude was basically pumping iron with one hand, and with the other he was jsut "stressing" it, and the gains were the same on both arms. Now, if we for a second assume that what I just wrote above is for reals, then from there follows that if you can "trick" your mind into "believing" it is doing something, it will, errr, believe it - the thing is, you will have control of the "plot line". Now, I think some forms of therapy work that way? Where they convince you that a certain thing is happening, and your mind actually buys into it?

Anyway, I suppose that "visualisation" is a matter of hijacking sensory inputs, and injecting "false" "sensory input" directly into the brain... Curious, that idea. So visualisation... Is kind of... Hacking *chuckles*
Yeah, reminds me of the placebo effect. A doctor could prescribe you a sugar pill for a debilitating disease, and if he convinces you that it will cure said disease, it very well may.

Dude, check out this legendary vid from Frank "The Tank" Yang on visualizations:

Because only 20% of people are visual types. And visualization and imagination is not the same.

Well, they're not the same, but visualizations reside in your imagination. Everyone formulates pictures in their mind that they are affected by (either positively or negatively), whether they're aware of it or not.

I disagree. Visualization and imagination are two entirely different concepts and you can see that clearly in hipnotic session: If you ask person to visualize and he/she is not visual type, they cannot do it, and think how session is unsuccessful because they can't do it. But if you use words imagaine, you go around that problem. Everyone can imagine and not everyone can visualize. I personally cannot put visualization clip in my mind. All I see is some unconnected pictures. But never the less, I am not talking about my experience, but facts.

I have used visualization while learning swimming and public speaking. It has helped me tremendously. I am starting to use the same in sarging as well. I will put my reports sometime.
