I agree it is a little out of context or i didn't provide the right context. What I meant was I'd rather do something "pickup impressive" than actually get the result (i.e. going for the lay) or I would blow the lay to have a fun story when I coulda had both.

Many people that decide to take the journey, I think it's when you realize that one day you are going to die. Realizing that you only have one life. Realizing that your greatest fear is not not of failure but the fear of success(this one is pretty big). When you realize that you can do whatever the fuck you want and achieve anything you want and that is fueled by your passion, nothing will fuckign stop you. That's where the iciness comes from like Tyler always saids. That's where the I don't give a fuck mindset comes from. When petty shit get in your way that's blocking your vision, you will do whatever takes to get that out of the way so you can get to your goal.
Many people get it twisted with the journey. They think they are taking the journey because they are "challenging" themselves. Go out like 5-7 nights a week but then come home and still do the regular bullshit that any chode does. Still lives with a mindset liek every other mediocrity person in society has. Naw man. Journey is about having a vision/dream and going for it. LITERALLY going for it. It's easy to talk about having dreams and going for it but when you actually make the sacrifices and change your whole entire route and thinking in life to get and chase after that dream, it takes you to a whole another level of thinking. You gotta burn the bridges like Tyler saids. You gotta really want it. Like to the point where there is no going back. You have to trap yourself away from negativity and bitches that will get in your way(family, friends, people who are lame/mediocrity). You got to develop a hustler mentality. If you're still living with your parents, you're not on a journey. if you're going to college to get a degree to land a job, you're not on a journey, you're playing it safe. Everythign RSD teaches here is universal. It applies to anything you want to succeed in life. But i think the biggest realization is that you'er going to get old... You don't wanna be 55 years old wishing you could of, would of done something to live a more exciting life. What, you're gonna work for coporate america and sell your soul for a 9-5 and pimp hoes on the weekend? Is that really your purpose and what you want out of life? hahha some do i guess but there are far more greater ppl out there who want the best and will not settle for less.

Maybe this is really what Im missing. Ive been noticing a fuck tone of holes in my game. Congruency, consistancy, etc. Maybe instead of becoming a 'scumbag'. Maybe I should just do like you said, treat this as a light hearted journey, steering away from pushing for that street/forum cred, which while thinking about it, means diddly-squat.
