Perhaps you're right and he was assuming too much and overreacted.
However, ask yourself this - if she was really a fan would she walk up to him and say 'Hi i really love your music and your books etc.' or would she shout ' get in the van, get in the van'
Plus - she shouts 'Henry Rollins is here' and then they all start laughing.
I interpreted it as her mocking him infront of her friends, in which case he was justified and put her in her place.
Maybe I'm wrong and he overreacted and got all butthurt, but maybe I'm right.
