I used to do something similar, where I put everything I know is healthy and mix it - cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, curry, omega 3 and even use green tea instead of water. However, I realized that we don't know if those things interact chemically with each other or how your body absorbs all those things all at once. Now I mix it up - sometimes have a banana shake with cinnamon, other times a green smoothie with ginger, other times I add just omega 3. Seems more natural and better.

Anyone have any idea how the commercial things like this, such as "The Green Machine" compares to the general home made stuff.

So ya just read this thread and ran out and bought a majic bullet at target.

I put some Kale, some spinach, some cilantro, some water to get the bullet going, then I added a bannan and 2 Tabelspoons of Organic Cashwer Butters.

To be completely honest it was so tasty, and creamy (no homo)
I could see myself getting excited for these each morning.
I wanted to go on a 15 day juice fast but am now thinking of just doing a Green Smoothie, and then maybe juice the of my meals for the day.

Hey guys - will a 250W Blender be suitable for the job?
I'm on a really low budget for quite some time, so i need cheap solution. Also it is 1litre container (the 1,5litre is 230W for almost the same price).

Frozen veggies are excellent for this, assuming your blender/smoothie maker can handle them.  Makes the smoothie nice and cold so you can't taste nothing and they have more nutrients.

Thank you, my friend - i really appreciate your reply.

Now can you just look if yours is 250W (or more) and more importantly - can you blend ice and frozen veggies in it as well?

Thaaaank youuu! :)

Blllahhhh. Started up on the green smoothie (kale, spinach, brocolli, ginger, almonds, apple, banana, sometimes blue berries, ice) and it was going well for a day or two. By the fourth day, I got this HORRIBLE stomach ache and headache. Literally felt like doing nothing and completely depressed(!!!). Had to take the next day off and went to buy some subway. From what I've read, this is the negative affects of detox and my body being so used to eating crap. Think I'm gonna go with a 3 or 4 day on, 1 day off schedule for a couple weeks until I can handle this so that I can continue eating the green smoothie for a long time and not be completely disgusted by it.
