THE FORUMS
This thread is pissing me off. Is it realistic to get into a metal machine and fly three miles in the air across the country? Is it realistic to walk into a room and flip a switch to make the whole room fill with light? The mundane people who don't accomplish anything are the pussies who are spending more time making excuses about why they can't do something rather than actually doing it. If you put in the time and the effort, even if you don't get it the first time, you'll learn from your mistakes, and eventually you'll get it. Don't wallow in your own little pool of self-despair, you're only shooting yourself in the foot by doing that. Dream big, guys, come on.
Amen, just realize you are going to fail at whatever you want, 1,000's and 1000's of times. Put in the time, fucking dream big. Kill it __________________

You really can't love anybody else unless you're Goddamn in love with yourself. Be delusional. Be really delusional. Consciously, I know I'm not the best looking guy in the world, but when I walk into a room I'm so convinced I'm good-looking that I *will* go home with your girlfriend. " Gene Simmons
Start an oil company and make millions. (seriously)
I'm currently getting my petroleum engineering degree at a really good school and I got connections in the industry. Gotta start somewhere bro.

Could you elaborate on this or at least give a place where I could find more information on start ups in the oil industry?

I guess, it is. I have done it a few times.

If you are a heavy metal guitarist playing generic music with a small niche (heavy metal is mostly dead) and expect to be the next mettalica, you are fooling yourself. Heavy metal is a dying genre and lacks market potential. If you are a guitarist however and have a incredibly awareness of the music industry and what people like and what might come `next` in the genres, you might have a chance to market that.
..had to LOL heavily at this. Metal and a lot of other mainstream-hostile/underground music genres are vibrant and THRIVING. Sure, not a lot of Metallica-sized paychecks for most artists these days, but plenty are making a living out it due to affordability of studio software, a passionate underground scene and an active live circuit. Just cos you don't see it on the Mainstream-bullshit-Grammys-VH1-gay-MTV-fag-radio, doesn't mean it's dying. __________________

This is by far the most inspirational thread here for me. I'm currently working on chasing my dreams and sustaining my business. Not even close to done, but at least I'm driven to put in work. Great to get tons of advice from people who are on their grind. Cheers!

But of course my goal ATM isn't be the mother fucking super mega #1 DJ, that may come later, but for now, I just want enough cash to LIVE off of my productions. I study people in the top of there fields a LOT. THE ONE COMMON factor is hard work, lots and lots and lots and lots of hard work. Massive time. Even the " rappers" that seem to pop out of no where, usally put in the time. Im posotive anyone can be anything, period. But do you have the balls to fucking give up it all for your dreams?
I met a multi millionare dude over the weekend, 21 years old, sells fucking beer pong kits, his secret ...ready, how to make it happen..........be mother fucking obessive about what you want, and never take no.
-Cheers.
Also, I would like to note this, lot of this work, is MENTAL WORK. I spend almost all free time, making songs in my head, over and over and over and over. This " passion" has really consumed my life, my social circle, and anything that gets in a way. You must love what your doing, or it wont work.
Tyler is a great example of all of this, the man mother fucking puts in the hours. The Pie is bigger then YOU think.
