Yeah, i bought and downloaded this product after the OP's recommendation and i'd say it's a more thorough exercise for the vocal chords than Roger Love's product. The fact that my face aches a little afterward testifies to this. Love's shit hasn't done much for me in loud environments, they still say "what??"

Do you watch the whole 58 minute long video everyday or listen to the practice guide? He's got a lot of bullshit filler clips in the video like him rockin out on stage, but should we watch the visual demonstrations then emulate it by ourselves with the audio afterward?

The bullshit filler clips are mostly just for motivation.  Remember this video was made in 1991 back when dudes were trying to sing in Metal Bands to bang a bunch of chicks.  He is playing to his fanbase (me) and dudes who want to get laid and become rockstars.  Basically you should focus on each practice guide section the way he tells you otherwise you will fuck up your voice.  Put the practice lessons on your ipod or burn to a CD and practice in front of a mirror every day for 2-4 weeks untill you have that section mastered.  Then move on to the next phase, all of the lessons are foundations to help you do the next lesson correctly so don't skip ahead and race through it.  I'm only on lesson 2 but I did watch the whole thing just to see where it was going. It should take you 2-3 months practicing every day to get through the whole course if you doing it properly.  In the end of the video he tells you how important it is not to drink, do drugs, smoke, or eat shitty because that will also fuck up your voice.  Taking care of your body is extremely important for singing.  Then you just keep practicing all of it every day in your spare time and go fucking rock out at Karaoke or join a fucking band.  I know 80's cover bands with good singers that pull in $50,000 (Per Band Member) a year just from doing local gigs 2 nights a week.

I can do some awesome shit already but I'm really going to try to learn how to scream because it is something I have wanted to do since I was 5 years old when I was looking up to all the older dudes with long hair who were in metal bands.  You don't need to master singing to be able to talk loud as fuck without fucking up your voice, that comes very fast, but why the fuck not learn to sing powerfully?  It's awesome and chicks fucking love this shit!  I know some super fucking hot 19-24 year old chicks that are obsessed into this type of music and suck the cocks of 40 year old dudes who are in Iron Maiden Tribute bands. I know  washed up 80's rock stars who are 50 that are in cover bands that still get tons of even when they old as fuck and been strung out on Cocaine for 20 years.  I got some stories man.....holy fuck do I got some stories.

If you live in Vegas or LA and want to find a place with tons of hot Metal Chicks, go to a Steel Panther show, its nuts and you will see hundreds of pairs of titties! Besides, they are the best fucking band on the planet lol.:

I practice this song every day on the way to work :)
****Warning*****Listening to too much Steel Panther wil make you want to buy spandex pants, super tight jeans, and be a Womanizing Supersonic Sex Machine.

Ok u guys convinced me.  Im gonna do these exercises, in addition to roger love's.  I also bought a book called, The Voice Book and it comes with a cd with some good exercises for resonance.  I think ive been speaking from my throat and not my stomach.  Also, my "head voice" has been weak.

If Roger Love isn't helping you guys you're doing it wrong. See if this program helps you get those mechanics down you've been missing. If you still can't figure it out I'd suggest get a vocal coach maybe for a couple weeks to get those simple basics down, or just kill yourself.

Just mimic the gunnery sergeant here, but forward in your mouth, not back in your throat.

I love this!

It is hilarious, and it is also informative.

The combo makes it accually valuble.

Warming up the voice is really important, I realized this one night myself, on my way to the bar.

I in high school, I took part in Theatre, and also competitive Debate.  We warmed up every day, prior to speaking.  Doing so makes it easier to let go, and be in STATE.

Great post!

My only critique is that if the Sergeant was using the "Wild Smily Face" he would have better tonality lol.

I know it's an old post but thanks for posting this. I just downloaded the video. I've always had trouble projecting my voice and this should help.
