I have eaten paleo since 1st january and can tell you what has changed for me over the past 2 or so months:

I have lost 9kgs while maintaining muscle mass (probably losing a bit, but not much) without any major effort
My blood pressure has gone from 160/80 to 120/80
Concentration levels are constant and solid
Mood and happiness is constant, no highs or lows throughout the day
I get to eat as much as I want from the paleo selection
i don't really feel like i have many restrictions compared to traditional "cutting calorie" diets (although my calories probably are in deficit, it doesn't feel that way)

so take what you want from the science, all I know is that it's personally worked fantastically for me.  I've also now cut all sugar out of my diet and no longer have carb cravings.  feels good man

Did anyone here reach under 10% body fat while on paleo or something near? I find it so hard.. Not sure if I should do calorie deficits or not. While doing intermitent fasting I'm not sure if I am just burning muscle as much as fat which simply both comes back later in the week (thus making the progress null).

As far as I know fasting is not really made for fat loss, but for repairing cell structures.
What might work for you is eating only 2 meals a day. I do this just cause of convenience and if I don't push myself to eat as much as I can and lots of lots of fat every meal I can't even keep my weight and abs become visible after 2-3 days (kinda stupid because I'd rather gain weight). If paleo is executed right you don't get hungry ever while doing this since energy comes from fat deposits only.

I'm no expert at all, but have you tried planning out your meals and counting cals? It's calories in-calroies out in the end...

Or you could try PSMF for a week where you only eat protein and veggies basically.

You should be able to get down to 10% with no starchy carbs and <70-80g carbs a day, from what I've read, but as I said, I'm no expert.

Cheers

Being really low body fat while still being healthy has a lot to do with genetics. I'm 6 or 7%, but I just naturally have that build. That being said, intermittent fasting should help. You can even try consistently eating within an 8 hour window (like noon-8).

Assuming you're already limiting fructose intake and all the other Paleo stuff, you can also:

-Frequent cold exposure and/or take cold showers/baths
-Get plenty of sleep (like 8-9 hours)
-Do heavy lifting
-Be more active in general
-Eat more coconut oil (short chain fatty acids help with weight loss)

Like I said though, it's hard to do it in a healthy way because genetics plays a factor. I'm sure you can get down to 8% or so though.

im at 10% body fat from 13% in 3 months, however for what iv seen it does grow exponentially harder as you go down into the 6-7% range of body fat. My trainer(friend) is at like 3-4% he does full paleo and really as you get down to that range, its about balancing between omega 3 and omega 6 fats and excercise, I do rockclimbing, weight lifting and muay thai and I have no doubt that ill be down towards the 7% in a few months. Id look into nuts and berries though for balancing your fats, and at which times you eat which foods. for example, nuts are great in the morning and fruit is great after workouts, meat obviously is anytime and really you cant go wrong with vegtables. I would not recomend a calorie deficit, because of the controversal metoabolism versus energry source. I personally have found that when I cut my calories I simply lose more muscle than fat, which actually worked out for me because I was not balanced properly for muscle groups but youd be surprised at the amount of fat youll lose from regular walking.
