You guys probably know this, but I think it would enhance the experiance when we meet you in person.  Personally, If I am in well rested I can "feel good in my own body" and be in a good mood much much easier.  This is my experiance.  If I dont rest I'm pretty incapable of doing anything.   Of course i agree if you need to pull allnighters or get a poor nights rest to get shit done theres always exceptions.  But i feel its unhealthy mentally and physically to live a lifestyle based on getting 4 hours of sleep.  When I learn something, I want the teacher to be as focused and on top of their shit as possible and not being well rested takes away from that.

I want what i am saying to be taken in a constructive way.  I like to get a minimum of 8 hours and preferably around 9 as a sweetspot.  I understand you guys are under a lot of time pressure to get shit done but I think the quality of your products and programs would go way up.

Thanks for the concern.  I'm a huge believer in getting as much sleep as you can in the darkest room possible.

The subtlety and nuance in the programs is so high it's difficult to see how deep it goes (most people just think "This is awesome..." but don't know why).  The quality is to the point our marketing advisors do face palms because I continue to spend time trying to get from a 9.8 to a 9.9 when I should be focused on other things.

By running Free Tour, Hot Seat, and BC on the same weekend we're able to keep the prices obnoxiously low.  Something people DO recognize.

RSD runs with the conflicting goals of 1) Running the highest quality programs for the lowest price, 2) paying the team really well, 3) staying cashflow positive.  Balancing these is insanely challenging.  It's a balancing act I've spent a decade learning and sometimes comes at the expense of my sleep.  I do it in my youth while I still can.

I do as well because your brain is turned off and you just GO!

That said I agree with OP that I should maximize sleep because if I were to continue this lifestyle into my old age it would (literally...) kill me.

Everyone wants what they want.  They want the cheap 300 hot seat that I have to run other events the same weekend to make work financially.  They want me to go out 7 nights a week so the material I show them blows them the fuck away, they want the frontpage of RSDN to be loaded with new content, AND they want me to be WELL RESTED. :)  They want instructors to work hard cause they're WELL PAID and ALSO for the bootcamp to be cheap.  They want it ALLLLLLLL.

No complaints though.  I just do the best I can. :)

Im wondering how the OP can get anything done in his life with 8 or 9 hours sleep a day.  There is only 24 hours in a day.

Going to the gym between 1.30 or 2 hours minimum.

Travelling could well be up to 1 or 2 hours depending on the situation.

Meeting girls whether it be in the day time or night time could take 20-30 minimum but realistically a lot more time.

Eating can take up large portions of your day as well.

Going to work, or studying which is a great portion of your day as well.

I only sleep 3-4 hours a day and i wouldn't even consider myself that busy compared to some people.

I just dont see where sleeping 8-9 hours is possible.

I was really talking about as far as seminar time, etc. not actual in-feild pickup...where I actually do beileve that it is possible that being tired can improve your game which is kinda messed up... but it is possible.  . ......I think it can draw parallels to being drunk or on some other drug while gaming.  I think more adrenaline and other stress hormones are pumping through
and you just talk and talk and dont give a shit about reactions.  I have definitely had success in the feild which I can partially or even mostly attribute to being underslept.  Does anyone know why this might be?

As far as needing to explain things, focus, remember and learn, things and solve problems and use your mind to do some shit is what I was talking about. I may come off as a little harsh..oh well.

Cam- I may have overexaggerated about not being able to do anything...but i would take a few extra hours of sleep over not anyday due to massive increases in efficiency and the impact it has on your mood.  Also I aviod structuring my life that has many simulataneous things going on at once.
