Okay so much like television has a lot of mind-numbing garbage but also a few GEMS -- I've found that the internet can either be a waste of time or else offer a lot of great content.

I know that I love to surf the internet so usually keep the internet out of my home.  Recently I brought it back so I could post in the forums again to get it back on track, which I think has helped.  So when I feel like surfing I stick to sites that have that "higher vibrational frequency" (cheesy term, but on point nonetheless...) to them.

Some of my favorites are...:

-Eckhart Tolle TV (www.eckharttolletv.com) -- I have a subscription, big surprise there right? ;)

-Mark's Primal Blueprint stuff (www.marksdailyapple.com)

-John Carlton's marketing stuff (he just has a great perspective on life -- really like this guy's general philosophies about how to LIVE -- www.john-carlton.com)

-Tim Ferris' life hacks (agree or disagree but he's nearly alway pretty damned interesting -- www.4hourworkweek.com/blog)

-TC's "Atomic Dog" column on T-Nation (lotta supplement adds but I like the hot girls at the bottom of the page and TC's hilarious articles -- www.t-nation.com)

Hopefully you all include the front page of RSD Nation on your list. :)

I know a lot of people have said good things about Joe Rogan's podcast as well.  I'm also SOMETIMES interested in the articles on Huffington Post, although it can be as much media B.S. as any regular media -- still some good stuff though.  Actually I'd love to read some alternative CONSERVATIVE point of views cause I've always liked their emphasis on personal responsibility (even though I'm obviously socially liberal) so am curious what Conservative sites are similar to HuffPost.

What others do YOU like?

Again I think there's websites that leave you with that "life is good" feeling, a positive vibe to you, and thinking more clearly....and then the majority of websites that BURN your time and take a lil piece of your SOUL. :)  Just in the sense they're mindless or shit talking or paranoid, etc.  Good content is good content though, and whether it's on the internet or not doesn't change that.  Thoughts?

(The main goal here being that if you're gonna crack and surf the 'net for a few hours, how could you do it in a way that's good for you and just not reinforcing A.D.D.?)

I also think that great comedy is fantastic for your state of mind.  Any good ones there?

This is a good one for college students:

http://calnewport.com/blog/

He explains how to be AWESOME and get good marks combined with career advice. He wrote 3 books.

PS: I used to advocate Steve Pavlina. Nowadays I think he's a weirdo with a huge ego. You can still learn from his articles.

ted talks. I watch one every other day usually when I'm eating. You can derive so much cool stuff from the concepts presented there.

If you like Tolle, you'll probably love these as well:
- http://www.leonardjacobson.com (Leonard Jacobson)
- http://www.thework.com (Byron Katie)

Then, there are websites who have tons of videos of spiritual teachers who teach the very same thing as Tolle:
http://www.nevernothere.com/guest-grid
http://www.conscious.tv
http://www.here-now-tv.com (and the german main page: http://www.jetzt-tv.net)
