Dopamine the most important substance for confidence, habits and ultimately success in everything

The role of dopamine is key for motivation and confidence. This is a very brief explanation of the role of dopamine. Explained on a very low level so don't take everything literally, its just to illustrate the broader concepts

What is Dopamine
Dopamine is the substance your body releases in order to motivate you to perform certain activities. Its role is basically to keep your striving and choosing activities that increase your possibilities of survival and replication.

When you see food ---> Dopamine release ---> Your are motivated to get the food

Hot girl --> Dopamine release --> Motivation to get girl

Essentially ALL the things you do are related to dopamine. If you remove dopamine you will loose all motivation and just lie still.

So how is dopamine released and how does it correlate to confidence

Dopamine can be released basically in two ways

1. Through stimulus from your senses, like if you see or smell food, see a hot girl etc.
2. Through thought, thinking is another way to release dopamine, you can think about food and dopamine is released to motivated you to get it. You can also think about your business and dopamine is released to motivate you to work hard and grow your business which ultimately is connected to your survival.

Here comes the kicker, dopamine can only be released if the pathway has been built between what you want and the actions to acquire them.

For example, you are fat and you wan to start exercise, you know that going to the gym will make you healthier and that it has many benefits. So by thinking about the gym you will get dopamine released.

However then you start to do the activities, like going to the gym. At first you don't see any results and thus your body cant connect dopamine to going to the gym, so you are not motivated to continue going to the gym.

There is no evidence that going to the gym is correlated to greater health etc, there is for you logically but your body has not accepted i yet, and thus it will not release the appropriate amount of dopamine to make you go to the gym. In fact in can withdraw dopamine because it feels that you can be at home resting instead of going to the gym expiring energy.

Going to the gym ---> no seen short term benefits ---> no dopamine ----> no habit building

This is why its so hard to form habits, because dopamine will only be released after enough evidence or reference experiences linking that activity to the desired outcome.

Dopamine is also correlated to confidence, if the link between activity and outcome is very strong you will get a strong dopamine release and will feel very confident.

So in a way confidence is directly correlated to dopamine release, and dopamine release is correlated to reference experience. So by increasing your skills you get a more and more dopamine released in correlation to the activities. 


Drugs and dopamine
i will not go into detail about drugs and dopamine release, you can just imagine that when you take the drug you an high and long lasting dopamine rush. By doing this many times you build pathways that say

Drug --- > high dopamine release --> habit forming

The drug will slowly climb on your order of priority and with a very strong drug like cocaine it will eventually become as important for you as food etc.

Taking MDMA can give you a glimpse of strong dopamine released and how that overrides all fear and makes you feel extremely confident. The only way to replicate that is to have fucked maybe 50-100+ girls so that there is no question what so ever in your mind that you can get the girl you want.

You can also get a glimpse of it with social momentum explained below

Dopamine and mental masturbation
If you sit at home thinking about inner game and PU you will have dopamine released and you will continue to read and think about it. However you will never reach a point where that thinking will give you the same dopamine release when you actually go out.

What you will feel when you are out at the club is two conflicting emotions

1. A small release of dopamine to motivate you to go for the girl, however this is a very small release and since you never have had hot girls they are outside of your reality and thus your dopamine levels will be low
2. You will also feel fear connected with social humiliation etc.

Your body has an internal priority system where survival comes before sex, so therefore if you don't have enough dopamine released when you see the hot girl your fear will have the upper hand and it will keep you in your place. Its only dopmine that can overide fear.

This is also correlated to social momentum, if you bombard your system with references that the fear is not justified then it will let go of the fear and thus SEX will be your next priority and with fear out of the way dopamine will be released to make you go for it with confidence.

The only way to form habits and ultimately success
The only way to form habits is to stick to the process until you start seeing results, with more results more dopamine will be released each and every time. Thus after a while you will find the activity fun. The gym becomes fun, work becomes fun, PU becomes fun. Only if you have persevered long enough to gain results to start boosting your dopamine in response to those activities.

Do you want it bad enough?
This is what it comes down to, do you want it bad enough to persevere and form your dopamine path-ways. You will have ALLOT of conflicting dopamine telling you to stay at home, eat fat food. You get dopamine released to keep you in your comfort zone because its working. So you must ignore that dopamine release and start to form new ones connected with the activities that brings you what you desire. So in a way dopamine is both the key to success and also the greatest barrier.

 Nice post. I agree with what your saying. The good thing about this is that Dopamine is in every one of us... The more you go out and ultimately go after what your desires are... The more you will find it fun and will feel good from it. ESPECIALLY when you have some success. Thats why for some guys who have low self esteem... Need to take this shit slow. Get success by going out and only going  out... Once that gets fun then make success by going by a girl and saying hello to get comfortable... Then actually go talk to her... See what Im saying. To get really good at this... You gotta enjoy the process. The more you enjoy it... The more you will want to do it.

 Very important topic.

Many people are depressed or not confident and have no idea why, and then wonder why they aren't getting laid. 
They think if they approach and get better "game" they will get laid more. Sometimes it's not that simple.
That's why there are people out there with good looks, $, social proof, multiple BC's and thousands of approaches under their belt STILL not getting laid

If you have low testosterone, serotonin, dopamine, trying to game girls is gonna be an uphill losing battle. 
Once you get the chemicles in your under control shit will be a lot easier and start to come more naturally, the way "naturals," do.

There are many things that can influence neurotransmitter/hormone levels.

I just found out I had parasites (roundworms, tapeworms, etc) which have caused me major problems for years (wasn't aware of it) that have really fucked with my hormone levels.
Now that I am getting that shit taken care of by taking antiparasite meds, antidepressants, I now feel like a completely new person. I don't have to try to feel good anymore, I just do. 

Many people are in denial or completely unware of their physical/mental health living in a neverending personal hell that will never dissappear unless they figure out whats causing it.

GREAT POST!!!!  I've read books, bought programs,  read posts and watched numerous videos that states about approach anxiety/confidence issues and this is the best I have ever found about the topic!!! best of the best!!!
When I try to approach a girl something holds me back.
I've overcame that thing many times before but when I remember those times I was using alcohol(dopamine), feeling great about something else(dopamine), already approached girls that night/day(dopamine), I was really horny(dopamine regulated), had a lovely girlfriend(dopamine)...
nowdays I'm starting daygame and it keeps coming and coming..it's day 4 and I could not make any approach!! something is holding me back!!!  I know I found my latest girlfriend by daygame, I know I did for some girls and succeeded but still that thing is holding me back!!!!
So I'm thinking now. I've been masturbating frequently(dopamine low). Don't have girlfriend(dopamine low). Work doesn't go well( dopamine low) and I'm using SSRI (dopamine low). Apparently when I go out, I hesisate. I do have the drive to go out but before approaching that thing holds me back.
So I believe in order to be successful again I have to increase my dopamine. Not by alcohol or drugs. They do it for a short time and girl senses that. I should be exercising, eating well, quit ssri or add wellbutrin, not masturbate...I should create that HUNGER. 
HUNGER is the most important thing guys.  I discovered that the most important thing is doing something. It's  just going to that girl. Not knowing what to say. Even you have shaky hands. You eventually learn what to say, how to listen her, bodylanguage, etc. Important thing is creating that HUNGER and doing something by acting on it. If you have that hunger even if you fail you'll find your food!!. It's like a lion running after a deer. Lion  is HUNGRY and he'll do everthing to get that tiger, If lion fails he goes for another deer because he is so HUNGRY he has to eat. So he will eventually find his food.
