So I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want to throw my time into over the next few years, and here's a few ideas on my mind.

First of all I'm somewhat conflicted because I've realized that I have a really bomb new seminar in my head that's been growing organically over the past 3 or 4 years since Blueprint.

It's funny because I told myself I'd never do another pickup seminar and this was the case for many years, and then recently people have been saying to me "Blueprint 2!!  Blueprint 2!!"  My initial kneejerk reaction was to be ANNOYED that people were asking for this, because I didn't think I had the content.  But I then I catalogued all the new content in my head and I was like "Damn I got a LOT of new content."  Like I said it's sort of grown organically in my head over several  years -- as opposed to being something I set out to do for business reasons.

The issue is that the new content I have is more esoteric, more "down the rabbit hole" than Blueprint.  My own "game" is probably 10X better than when I recorded BP (and probably about 3X better today than when I recorded Hot Seat) so these ideas are making a difference -- consistency in attracting high calibre women has increased, as well as the types of women I'm able to attract on a daily basis.  I'm also mentally in a better place in spite of having more responsibility on my plate.

My concern is that Blueprint was off the wall enough as it was.  Many people got a lot out of it, but others took it as an excuse to get stuck in an inner game circle jerk.  I can say all day long "Get laid using the basics before you come to this..." and yet newbies will assume that the "advanced material" is the missing piece, and they'll lose sight of the fundamentals.

To deal with this it's occured to me to create like a 10 minute section at the beginning discouraging newbies from watching the material, and talking about why BASIC FUNDAMENTALS in the game need to be mastered first and foremost before going down the inner game circle jerk.  Guys like myself or Brad are very deeply in the inner game circle jerk, but we also go out what, 4 - 7 nights a week for YEARS??  So it's like a guy who works that 7 days a week for 4 hours a day taking steroids, as opposed to a guy who takes roids and then sits at home never lifting a weight thinking he'll get jacked.

I think the solution is that paradoxically, if I'm going to put out something more advanced, I need to simultaneously create newbie material to counter-balance it.  This is difficult for me because newbie material is SOOOOO BORING.  It's very difficult for me to arouse any passion to talk about the basics of approaching women, pulling girls home, etc.  This is because I spent the first four years of my career talking about this to no end and it's so obvious to me it's hard to imagine anyone would have trouble with it (I'm too deep in my bubble of other guys who are good with girls).

Yet without a proper guide of newbie material, an advanced seminar would likely spell a lot of problems for RSD.  I think Blueprint is sort of the limit as far as confusing concepts go, and if I go further and people say "That's the newest seminar so watch THAT ONE..." it would really confuse the shit out of them.

So yeah, blaaaah, newbie material.  Yay.  This is the price you pay to work on the "passion projects" I guess.  What I'm using to motivate myself is that I want to connect with people who WANT to learn this material, and simply can't understand it.  I just need to get my head into it and make it a priority.

As far as other projects, I'm also recording infield footage again.  Like I said I've improved a lot and I obviously want to get this on film.  We've had a lot of false starts where we've lost good footage, and it's a lot more difficult to get the Hot Seat quality footage than most people realize.  It's also been a bit of a mindfuck to get accustomed to being filmed again after a few years of not having the camera pointed at me.

Connecting with a woman as you watch guys with a camera swirling around you is a VERY weird feeling, especially when you're really getting into her and you know that at any second she may see it and freak the fuck out.  As a result I find myself running a lot of assholish type game, just pushing for the fast escalation so we "get the shot" before the camera gets popped.  I don't like this, and so I've been focusing on slowing the fuck down and just doing what I normally do, not pushing it so fast.  It will probably take another month or two to get fully adjusted to the camera again -- I remember the first time I did this I eventually got to a point where I didn't want to pick up a girl WITHOUT having the camera on me because it felt like a waste.  That's the point I need to get to again if I want to get something really amazing for World Summit.  So far we have some really amazing footage but my aspirations for this are very high because I can only do it for so much longer, so the window of opportunity is RIGHT NOW.

Anyway that being the case, my main projects right now are newbie material, advanced material, and infield footage.  We're also putting up RSD Underground shortly after like 6 years of it gathering dust.  The site is pretty obselete at this point, but I still think it will be cool.  Once I've done all this I feel like RSD will be sort of how I envisioned it many years ago -- as a sort of "complete" entity, and I can get more focused on material outside of dating.  So I'm probably about 2 to 3 years off from the beginning of self help.  Nonetheless I mention this a lot because the bulk of my career will likely be in self development, assuming I live a long life.  The material I want to create for RSD over the next years before I'm done -- I want it to reflect the best of my abilities between now and then -- in the same way I can look at Blueprint and say "That's the best I could do at 27" I want to look at this stuff and say "That's the best I could do at 31".

I feel like the keys to my growth have been 1) not trying to "win over" people who don't like what I do (or being afraid to polarize), but doing it for the people who get value out of it, and 2) always trying to build on the last thing I did and improve on it.  I always want everything about everything I do to be an evolution forward, where you can see the improvement or at least the failed experimentation that will lead to something cooler later on.

Sounds pretty dope. Not sure why you care if people circle jerk to blueprint 2...lots of people use newbie material to mentally masturbate as well, at least if it's deep shit then they might get something out of it.

All sounding good dude, I'm at a simlar stage in life where at 23 years old, i want to focus on where I want to be at say 30 or whatever.

I do know a few so called "Self help" or "Life Coaches" that praise inner issue bullshit that honestly gets people nowhere, it's a tough thing to get into because a lot of peoples mentally is so different from the last, but if anyone can tap into that and re-wire the mind back into being your best self, then hell it's you. good luck and and I look forward to the new stuff you put out, I'll watch it all, even the newbie stuff and love it probaly.

Btw why don't you just delegate "newbie" stuff

BP 2 will be massive.  You sir will be like the Michael Bay of pickup.  The epiphanies will hit motherfuckers like the endless amounts of stimuli that dude can pack in one movie.  And to top it off with an ironic twist, it will be sponsored by Red Bull.

Gives you wings motherfucker!  For picking up girls!  Wheeee!

Haha anyways yo dude it's definitely time for a refresh.  There's so much bomb shit you've been teaching over the past few years which much more accurately depicts the "map of pickup".  Honestly, it really hasn't been until maybe Hot Seat that I felt like, "Yeah.  This shit is super spot on.  I know exactly what he's talking about because I experience the same thing in field."

I also feel a lot of the stuff you teach in Hot Seat is very newbie relatable.  Sure the stuff on intent + freedom of outcome is a bit more advanced however, the stuff dealing with building social momentum, how to deal with rejection, this type of stuff is just awesome no matter what level your at.

I also feel that now everything you teach is VERY game focused and game related.  It's like if you take what you learn in Hot Seat and apply it, you don't need to learn much else.  It's just so streamlined to exactly what needs to be learned without all the extra fat.

Go for it Owen!  Can't wait!

I don't know that you need to counter-balance your "passion projects" with newbie material.  The newbie material is out there.  What more can you say on it?

Obviously you wouldn't want a newbie to buy Blueprint 2 and then be like, "What the fuck is this?" but you could spell out in your marketing that it's very esoteric and that guys should get Foundations first and practice the principles before making the plunge.  In other words, if you SPELL OUT that Blueprint 2 is crazy and on the edge of the frontier, so to speak, then a guy can't really buy it expecting to learn the basics and then get mad that it isn't.

I'm honestly curious what your self-help aspirations are, because that seems like a pretty well-tapped field to me.  I mean, I can see how you'd view that as even more ambitious as you'd be more famous and have a greater reach since "self help" is a much wider area than the niche of "pickup."  I can see that angle, but I'm curious what ideas and concepts you could contribute that haven't already been tapped out by Tolle, Maxwell Maltz, Steven Covey, etc... not to say that there AREN'T more ideas and concepts, but it's hard for me to think of any off the top of my head since that's such a well-known field.

As far as dating and girls go, I personally think we as a community have uncovered about a quarter of the iceberg, mostly due to this only being a serious source of study for a little over a decade, and the amount of dudes studying it being far fewer than those who study self development in general.

Anyway, cool of you to spill your thoughts out like this instead of being some Howard Hughes-like recluse with secret mastermind plans lol...

Hey, Tyler, I really do think you have a lot more to offer in terms of "going further down the rabbit hole." It is true, though, that going out and approaching, while knowing the basics, is probably what brings the best results.

However, I think its very important that the inner game and esoteric stuff is addressed.  I truly believe that the things you've learned over the span of your career have connecitons to so many other aspects of life.

What I like the most about RSD and the DEEP concepts is that they have literally helped me UNDERSTAND myself.  When I say "myself", I mean I can understand the ways my mind works and the conditioned patterns that are so hard to break out of, which act almost like a prison.  This "prison", I believe, is the primary hindrance and problem when it comes to people who suck at life and become invovled with the self-help community.

I say, keep going further with this stuff. I wrote a little article about a week ago (http://www.rsdnation.com/node/186050) about how I view warm up sets as the "sober equivalent of getting drunk."  what I found is that the RSD approach hints at the underlying fact that human beings seem so desperate to JUST BE THEMSELVES, so much that many need to down a bunch of alcohol to let their real selves show.  We all just want to respect, honor, admire, and EXPRESS who we are, and who we're meant to be, but the fear of social rejections stifles us.  Some people get hammered to let loose and express our true selves, you guys at RSD do warm up approaches.

If you go into self-help, I think you will have a STRONG foundation from all you've learned with RSD.  Going further down the rabbit hole will only reveal more about that "prison" in our minds.

Newb here,
I watched the blueprint. Got a panic attack some months later (from the following mind fuck). Then things got better in all areas of my life except pickup. Then i started approaching.
The ultimate product would be a substitute for approaching thousands of chicks. I hate cold approach. I seem to get nowhere with that (i'm not even interested in getting makeouts anymore).
I'm sure you can invent that magic pill.

Come on man, the newbie stuff is out there. Do what you know you've got to do. Einstein would've gotten nowhere if he spent half his time teaching highschool physics.

One thing Id' be really interested in is a product entirely about vocal projection, kind of like an expansion of Brad's CCM method, ya know packed with like samples and maybe some little exercise to do.  I think something like that could appeal to both spectrums, beginner and advanced.
