I went to Park Ultra Lounge with one of my best friends from pre-school and who has stayed my friend throughout my entire life. It is a very classy environment with a pretty hot crowd. I like the ambiance and the waterfalls and location. I was able to hop to a bunch of other local bars by using this place as my starting point. This is my favorite club in Sacramento that I've visited, but I found a few resources that recommended a few other nightclubs in Sacramento:

K street area overview.....

Social Night Club
1000 K Street
Sacramento, CA
(916) 443-9001
http://www.socialnightclubsacramento.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/social-nightclub-sacramento
Personal take: Saturday is best day to go, as of right now there is a good mixture of different ethnicities of people.  Mostly top 40 mashups.

Dive Bar
1022 K Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 737-5999
http://www.divebarsacramento.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/dive-bar-sacramento-2
Personal take: Best place to take out of towners because it has something that their town probably doesn't...MERMAIDS! Good influx of different people every week.  As of right now I suggest getting their early and obtaining a stamp, though there is no cover, there is always a line on the weekends. (Thursdays has piano song request night and there is a cool ipod holder to allow you to play your music throughout the venue).

District 30
1016 K Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 737-5770
http://district30sacramento.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/district-30-sacramento
Personal take: Long and narrow, so not the best layout for a club I've seen, but it's still the "hot" new place right now.  Cover on weekends runs about 15, but guestlist are available.

Parlare
1009 10th Street
Sacramento, CA 95814-3501
(916) 448-8960
http://www.parlaresac.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/parlare-euro-lounge-sacramento
Personal take:  Lots of asians all the time.  No cover ever, nice staff, water is amazing here (I don't always drink), Thursdays to Saturdays are always packed.

Marylins On K bar
908 K Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
(916) 446-4361
http://www.marilynsonk.com/
http://www.yelp.com/biz/marilyns-on-k-sacramento-2
Personal take: I usually end up here on a Thursday night to sing live band kareoke or just sing along with other drunk people and dance my ass off, 5 bucks a song though, usually a hot spot for the dodgeball and kickball adult leagues which I also suggest joining as they are a pretty social group.

Other notes, Cosmopolitan Cafe/bar is located under Social Nightclub, Pizza Rock is located between Disctrict 30 and Dive Bar, Table 260 is another great soul food bar down the street, the owners of the Greek Cafe across from all the above spots says they will open a late night Hookah lounge for the summer.

My favorite is still The Park.

My top 3 Sac clubs

The Park 8.5/10- Large dance floor, open outdoor area and lots of people.

Azukar 8/10 - Nice two story spanish/ hip hop club with hot latin chicks

Social- 7.5/10- Nice modern club, but really small.

My personal favorite Sac bars

Streets of London- Always packed, used to be our Lair bar.

R15- Mellow POOL bar near Shady Lady (also good).

Dive Bar- Just a bar with a large fish tank and a 10 square foot dance floor. It is cool to see the mermaids try and hold their breath!

Park is still my favorite as well. I've heard Davis clubs can be fun, but I've never heard any specifics. My guess is downtown is still the best.

Davis clubs are definitely fun

Thurs night is usually best here. it's Mojito Night, where basically college kids pack into an outdoor bar/restaurant with a huge fireplace. perfect for street game
