Money, women, social validation. These things are supposed to guarantee "survival and replication". What do we want that for?

Who fucking cares bro....seriously.....I love philosophizing.......but this is a PICKUP forum.  If you are living an active social life and pushing yourself to meet new people and do new/unfamiliar/scary things, then you wont give a fuck about this question.

You have enough knowledge to go out TONITE and get laid.  Worry about that shit.

"Social dynamics and SELF ACTUALISATION"
This is a valid question for this forums.

What should you live for?
How about this for a novel concept.
Do something good for others.

There is NO higher purpose than service to others.
Even if you dont think you care about other people.
You'd be surprised how much you really do.
Get a hobbie, a job a fuckin web site, something.
and see what you can do to help other people.
I'm not assuming you have none of this type of thing already, but well. i can only speculate.

That or become satisfied with the present moment and what you have.
Because believe me. there's more in it than you think there is.

Pursue your dreams. Not what your parents or society wants but what you want.

Read "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankle. It really naills the subject. Certainlly did for me.
And its pretty intresting too, I read it in few hours. enjoy =]

P,S

In the sec video he talks about how this is related to sexual stuff and self actualization.

i'm a hedonist so i do whatever will give me the most pleasure. of course i'm not a naive hedonist who over-values short-term immediate pleasure. i might do something very painful to maximize my life-long expected pleasure and mimize total pain (e.g. approaching 10s with social anxiety, eating healthy etc). or i might forgo something very pleasurable in the moment but which will lead to net pain in the long run (e.g. heroin).

and there is no "reason" why you "want" your survival and replication. those genes that survive and spread themselves exist in the world, those that fail to survive and replicate do not. so the world is populated by those genes which tend to survive and replicate. it's that simple. there is no intention behind it at all. to say genes "try" or "want" to spread is shorthand for this fact. think of it in terms of replicators. those things that repilcate themselves tend to produce copies in the world and become numerous, those that don't, don't exist in the world.

it's all meaningless, but the pleasure you feel is real and that's good enough for me to base my life on. before you start worshipping pleasure though, realize how meaningless it is. basically pain and pleasure are adaptations themselves. whatever tends to proliferate your genes has evolved to be pleasurable to you, anything that interferes with this is painful. but the environment this pain/pleasure response system evolved for is way different than today's environment so it fucks things up (e.g. you shouldn't feel any fear at all talking to women, since we live in cities of millions and are essentially anonymous rather than tribes of hundreds where everyone knew each other). so there is nothing special about the things that make you feel pleasure or pain, the link between them is based on what, over millions of years, has led to spreading your genes, which is itself a meaningless natural phenomena.

to answer your question do it for the pleasure. feels good man.

The only meaning is to find your OWN meaning.

I think about hairy pussy.  And how I can shave it so I can give my penis a cleared road.
