You ask for evidence when it's out in the world around you. How much time, money and effort do women spend on their appearance? Which is all to be attractive, which is an extension of sex. The percentage of plastic surgeries for cosmetic purposes would be a stat to look at. I'd bet all the money i have that there's a ton more women having it done then men.
